It was a great "Camp" away from home. We are very familiar with Pittsburg and all it has to offer so finding this place for our little Thanksgiving get -a-way was great. We made sure we had a good size kitchen and table for all of us to eat. I LOVED the island. The rooms were perfect for our families, especially having 2.5 bathrooms and Justin was great to communicate with and very responsive to text.
Only things I would suggest, make sure you have enough garbage bags, enough silverware, perhaps some curtains on the living room windows as once morning hits the sun can be intense at times.
All in all it was a great, cozy place. We loved it! Thanks for letting us make memories.

Spent the week (early August) at Back Upta Camp with our families ranging from ages 6 to their 70’s. The house was incredibly spacious for our group of 8 to spread out in. They really went above and beyond designing the place, it had a high end rustic cabin feel! They had all the comforts of home, the kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and such and the bedrooms /living room were very comfy! We made full use of the kayaks they had available and the lake access was just a short walk down the road. The views were lovely at the lake as well as from the two decks at the house! The owner Justin was incredibly responsive with all communication and we would absolutely considering renting from them again! If you’re thinking of visiting the Great North Woods, definitely considering staying there!!

There is nothing "campy " about this place. It is lovely! Everything about it is high-end and very well maintained. The place was spotless, no campy, musty oders. The beds were comfy with nice linens. Extremely will equipped kitchen with new appliances. The area was beautiful and the lake crystal clear (cold getting in but clean, not weedy).
The were 11 of us, 6 under 12, and the kids had plenty of space to play inside and out. Justin was a fabulous host. Were had 1 minor problem connecting to the internet and he responded very quickly and had us up and running in no time. Everything was perfect. You can't go wrong with this place!!

Pittsburgh Get Away
Our sibling get away in Pittsburg was fantastic! ATV riding, fishing, hiking and fabulous meals. Great bonding time and memories. The house was absolutely beautiful and the decor hit our “home” buttons automatically. Looking forward to returning next year.

Back Upta Camp
Went for 5 nights for a hunting trip with friends. Check in was easy. Owner allowed us to drop off our gear early and also texted me that the cleaning crew had finished early and we could go in. House is awesome, second year staying there.. Definitely recommend it to others looking to stay in the area.

BackUptaCamp is a beautiful place...
The house is awesome. New, clean, very well decorated, well outfitted. Note - there is no A/C - but you don't need it. Evenings in July were quite cool if a bit humid - we were quite comfortable throughout our stay in Mid-July.
We were unfortunate with the weather for our week - it rained nearly 1/2 the time we were there - but can't blame that on anyone other than Mother Nature - bring your rain-gear even in July!
We were not sure until we got there whether we were close enough to the Ride-the-Wilds ATV trailhead to ride-out/ride-in... we were NOT. Had to trailer the machines about 5-miles to the closest trail-head. If there was any way to improve the place - that would be it - but we all realized it is not in the realm of something the owner can really influence. We just dealt with trailering 10 machines each day to/from the trails.
The owner Justin stopped by to meet us on the first day and to let us know that if we need anything he is quite accessible - right across the street! We didn't - the house accommodated all 10 of us - yep - 10! We used a couple of cots so we didn't have to double-bed any of the guys... plenty of room for our needs. The house was outfitted with plenty of towels/linens and had lots of 'left-over-stuff' from prior guests - paper towels, garbage bags, etc.
Would definitely go back.
