Easily accessible from the highway. Property is within a seemingly quiet residential area. Shower worked. Easy to get to downtown Montgomery. Had a large flat screened TV. Parking at rear of property.
I am aware of the low, low price for this room, but it was way, way below what our standards were. Don't be fooled by the photo of the mansion on the web site. You get what seems to be a tacked-on room/bathroom to the rear of this property. The first thing that hit us on entering the room was the damp, musty smell. The bathroom was an eyeopener. The bath is about 21/2 feet in depth and it takes some doing getting into and out of it. The bath has Gaffa tape all around it and looks bad & unhygienic. There is a dangerous drain in front of the sink, it is at best a trip hazard. I tried to reseat it unsuccessfully and wish I hadn't seen the inside (blackened cotton buds etc). I went to use a facecloth and discovered they were all filthy. There were unknown stains on the tiles. The room had 3 doors, one which went into the main house, one we didn't know where it went and the front door. The front door was flimsy, had a gap at the top, and had a broken slide bolt. It seemed a gust of wind could open it and as such my wife piled all our luggage against it when we were inside. At the junction where the room met the main house there were small gaps/holes to the outside. I don't know what the Fire regulations are for this type of property in the US, but there was NO fire Warning System or smoke detection. You may ask why we didn't bring all this to the owner's attention. Well, having read some of the more recent reviews and her replies, we felt this review would prove less confrontational. If we could've found somewhere else at such short notice, we would not have stayed. We really wanted to like this place, but we wish we'd never booked something so cheap.

I did not stay . The room smelled . The staff said the tub was under a construction. It looked to be duct taped in. I was willing to deal until while freshening up I noticed that I was getting bit by something in the carpet and the door has an ill fitted bar lock on the inside only . No deadbolt !!!!! No barrel door lock!!!! This is in downtown Montgomery. I went and stayed at the Hampton . It may be cheap but don’t waste the money . Stay somewhere better.
I mentioned the infestation politely to the host. I received dismissal with attitude. I have many bites on feet and ankles to show . I am also from the south I can recognize a flea bite and a flea upon sight. Also, when I arrived there was literally urine that had not been flushed in the toilet. When was this place cleaned last ?

Very cute place, I love the historic house and the room lightly reflects the vintage feel. the neighborhood was nice sweetly quaint, mostly historic houses and very quiet area. Good place to park. Very kind staff.
The bath tub needs repaired.

I liked that the property had easy access to the interstate. I also liked that property was located within proximity to the various functions that I attended on that weekend. Finally, I liked that the manager was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this location to others.
There was nothing that I didn't like.

The price seemed to be a deal.
The building/apartment was old and in disrepair, and did not seem secure. Immediate surroundings were unclean. I did not feel safe, therefore I did not stay there. I left and went to a motel.

Very clean.
Bathroom, especially bath tub is to high to climb into. A little unsafe for older people. Tub still being renovated.
