We enjoyed this area for our 2 weeks escape from the heat in Redding. Good restaurants in walking distance as well as the Thurs farmers market. This home has lots of wood floors and mission style furniture. We used the dining table for eating and the dropleaf in front of the windows for jigsaw puzzles we brought from home.

Great location, perfect for our family visits. We love that dogs are allowed. The only drawback is the primary bedroom bed, it is not comfortable. We have stayed here twice and it has worked out great, management is very responsive.

This historic home has been updated in the most careful, respectful, & clever way. While millwork & wood floors have been restored to retain the home’s original charm, new counters, cabinets, shower surround, kitchen appliances, and kitchen & bath backsplash have updated the look and functionality of the home. The home is in an ideal location for enjoying Eureka and, for me, visiting family in the area. The alley-access garage for parking my car was a lovely bonus. The gardener who came to mow the lawn came to the door to introduce himself & let us know he would be working on the property. It was such a nice courteous gesture. I can hardly wait to come back and stay here on future visits!

My wife and I had a short stay at the bungalow but it was perfect for both of us and our pups. Great location to do and take in all that Eureka and surrounding areas has to offer - and everything felt really close. The place felt like a home away from our home - really cozy and we felt comfortable right away. Plan accordingly if you have more than 2 ppl since there is only one bathroom. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Very clean, very nice, cute cottage in Eureka. Plenty of room for 4 of us.
Had some concerns, hearing that the area was in a bit of a downturn and that there are some questionable ares of the city. But this house was in a nice residential, clean area. We spent our 2 days there traveling to the redwood forests, so we were gone most of the time. What we did see of the town was nice. There were a couple of run-down areas and some questionable folks hanging around there, but most cities have this as well. Overall we were really pleased with Eureka. Lost Coast Brewery was good for a drink and dinner.
The only suggestion I have for the home owners is that it would be nice if there were some "essentials" there for cooking - aluminum foil, salt, pepper, cooking oil - things like that, so that the renters don't have to buy these for a few day stay. It's possible that the owners don't want to provide this because these things can be taken by renters (and they may have), so I understand. They did have coffee and dish and dishwasher soap, so some things were provided.
Other than this minor "complaint", everything was great - would stay here again.

I loved the ambiance that was created in this craftsman home. It's been beautifully restored and was a comfortable place to stay. The area was quiet and I had everything that I needed and more. The day I was supposed to leave I was sick and Vacasa quickly and kindly made arrangements for me to be able to stay one more day. I would gladly return to this rental the next time I visit Eureka.

Our family loves this beautiful home. Location was delightful..close to yummy coffee shop for morning walk and great for walking our 2 little dogs. Everything was comfortable, functional and tasteful. Planning to make this our “go to” property for future visits to Humboldt County.

This was a cute, very clean rental- perfect for a family of 4 with a dog. The kitchen had a great island. The neighborhood was very walkable and the back yard was great for our dog. There were nice games and a chess board in the family room, which our kids loved!

We would most definitely love to come back to this gem. It was great to be able to walk just a block to the restaurants and shops. We enjoyed dinner at Annie's and cones at Fresh Freeze. The place was very clean, the kitchen was well outfitted, and we loved the fully fenced yard.

Very cute house, actually better than the pictures. Seems like everything in Eureka is 5-10 minutes away from this house.

A gas stove and forced air heating kept us cozy during our winter trip. A short walk to Henderson Center was fun.

Home very comfortable, served our purpose well.
We would suggest a floor fan to use in the bedrooms to help circulate some air.

We loved his home and would definitely stay here again. Sadly, the house smelled very strongly like cigarettes and took us at least a day to air it out. No excuse for smoking indoors when the backyard is so cute!

clean, comfortable stay, enjoyed the shaker style home and yard, secure garage and laundry on site. Very convenient to unique shops a stroll away! Bike the 15 mile flat bike path along the shoreline, ride right from the house! Bike through the towering redwoods in the Avenue of the Giants, start from "Pepperwood" on a quiet side road; enjoy the large Native Plant gardens at Botanical gardens, & explore their many trails that take you to beautiful overlooks!

This would have been a 5 star place if not for the beds. They were much too hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise, we enjoyed this place very much.

Nice place for my family to stay while visiting family in Eureka. Very clean and comfortable. My first time using Vacasa, I will be back again in the future.

It was a sweet little house in a great location & our pup loved the yard. The kitchen was a bit understocked with supplies. There was only one trash bag for the kitchen for a week stay & the toilet paper was short & no tissue, so we had to go buy some supplies to last the week. Shower head kept coming off the water tube & had really poor pressure. But the house was well kept up & we had a great time & enjoyed the great location & cool weather!

Quick family trip
Coming home to visit family and chose the Buhne Terrace Bungalow. The home is very charming and in a great location. It was just a short drive in any direction to get to where you need to go, or to get to a major road. Walking distance from Henderson Center was a plus. The layout of the home was comfortable and it was easy to nestle in and feel like you're at home. The yard was just enough and there was a garage for use if needed. Luckily I was able to park directly in front of the house. I had one issue at the home and called in for assistance. I received excellent service from staff; prompt service from the agent and the local manager followed up, as well. All in all, a cute house, very comfortable, and I am planning on renting it again on my next trip down.

Almost Perfect
Super clean (except old coffee grounds in the coffee pot). Location was really convenient and best of all - dog friendly. Beds were not very comfy, but the house itself was great. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely retreat in cute neighborhood
We had a great stay in Eureka. The house was clean and the yard lovely to hang out in. Managers were responsive and helpful when we had an issue turning on the heat (easy to do, just couldn't figure it out :) The only thing I would say is that the kitchen could be a little more "stocked" with dishes/cooking supplies/paper items. We'll definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Comfy beds, functional kitchen & many thoughtful features. We found that when we needed assistance, local Vacasa staff were very responsive. Covid protocols were appreciated.
