Fall is a great time to visit Windsong. Windsong is a classic, vintage, log cabin with all the comforts of home. Nestled among towering white and red pines, the cabin is approximately 2400 square feet and sits just 25 feet from the shore of beautiful Big Spider Lake. The main level of the cabin has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main living area boasts a fieldstone fireplace, a large dining area, and plenty of room for relaxing. The lower level offers additional sleeping along with an entertainment area that includes another TV, DVD, darts, ping pong, and many other board games - a perfect spot for the kids to hang out! The cabin is fully equipped with Wi-Fi and satellite TV. A classic boathouse sits on 200 feet of shoreline and offers a deck complete with firepit and western views over the lake - the sunsets are amazing! Spider Lake, just NE of Hayward, Wisconsin, is 1600 acres and comprised of five interconnected lakes. It is a fully recreational lake known for its excellent fishing, swimming, and beautiful scenery. Located just 15 miles from downtown Hayward, the cabin offers both privacy and convenience. There are several nice supper clubs and restaurants in the area. A perfect place to hike, bike, kayak, fish or just relax with a glass of wine in front of the fieldstone fireplace!

This is a wonderful place. The cabin and property are beautiful and well maintained. It was also very clean. It is located on one of the best parts of the Spider Lake Chain. And the sunsets are amazing from the deck. Owners were terrific. Highly recommend!

Truly a lovely vintage cabin. Loads of room...great beds. Well stocked in the kitchen. Beautiful view. Deck, chairs, and firepit were perfect. Lots of steps to the deck and dock. And a bit difficult to tie up a boat

We loved the location and the view. Beautiful sunsets. The cabin is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Nice updated kitchen and bathrooms. We enjoyed the fireplace on cool mornings and evenings. More space downstairs to spread out and play ping pong, do a puzzle, watch movies. Plenty of room for 5 adults. The lake is peaceful and lends itself to kayaking and swimming. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Had a wonderful time with family. Cabin is beautiful and on the lake. Very clean and has several perks such as ping pong, washer and dryer, dish washer etc. Saw a black bear during our stay. Caught a lot of fish including bass, northern, perch, pan fish and pike

The Boat house deck is the place to be. Perfect spot for the sunset or just sitting around looking at the lake. We brought our boat to fish, wake board, and tube. The lake has specific hours for it but those rules I think keep the lake quiet relatively. It seems the loons like the rules too. You hear them consistently throughout the day. There are more loons on this lake than I have seen around the area.

Super clean, comfortable cabin on beautiful forested lot. Spider Lake is wonderful for pontoon cruising and cabin ogling. We didn’t have any luck fishing but it’s too early to expect that. All three bedrooms have comfortable beds, we did not end up using any of the finished space in the basement, but it would be good overflow space for guests or kids. The fridge was completely empty, which we really appreciate, and there are minimal spice/oil supplies etc so just bring what you need. (Tons of cooking and bake ware on hand) All of our questions were answered quickly and this VRBO has the least amount of checkout tasks of any stay we’ve had. Enjoy!

We enjoyed 3 very nice fall days up at Spider Lake. The cabin is very well appointed and has a great view of the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by the water and going for walks around the lake. Scott and Kelley are excellent hosts and promptly responded to our questions. We look forward to our next visit.

Our stay at Windsong was amazing!! From the moment we unlocked the door to the last turn of the knob as we left the property it was exactly as described and much nicer in person than the pictures depicted. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with all the amenities of home. The views from the windows of the house were amazing and the boathouse deck was spectacular. The deck chairs were surprisingly comfortable and by far our favorite spot for our morning coffee and our evening nightcaps to watch the sunsets. The water is so clear we saw deep reflections of the stars in it. We are definitely planning a return visit.

Garmisch USA near Cable and Lost Land Lake Lodge offer German and traditional Northwoods food with scenic views. The cabin has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at this wonderful cabin. The thoughtful touches (grill ready to go, wood for the fireplace and fire pit, kayaks and canoe) were much appreciated. Spider Lake is the perfect size for half day paddle adventures. The roads nearby are smooth blacktop and low traffic for family bike riding. Thank you for a week of great memories.

We LOVED our time at Windsong! From the moment we drove up hearing loons calling on the lake, every moment was beautiful! The cabin is comfortably appointed with furniture and decor, and everything you need in the kitchen for meals. The patio and decks provide beautiful relaxation with amazing views and frequent loon calling and fish jumping. The lake is serene and gorgeous wooded shoreline, so clear and clean for swimming and recreation, and we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding (brought our own) with the loons and otters. Close to great hiking and mountain biking trails, and road biking along rural roads around the lake area (saw more bikes and walkers than cars). Scott and Kelley were so helpful throughout the entire experience, above and beyond other VRBO hosts we've had. Highly recommend!

Rented Scott & Kelley’s place for the second year in a row, this time joined by our daughter and her husband (and dog). Everything worked great; the boathouse deck with its fire pit was the highlight. The lake is beautiful for swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing… A most enjoyable week.

A classic Northwoods cabin. Great decorations go right along with the log cabin. The deck overlooking the lake is fantastic Cleanliness of the house was spotless and our hosts answered all of our questions and took care of all of our needs. We use the wood-burning fireplace every evening and the hosts even left us a special surprise – makings for s’mores.

Great rustic log cabin lake home with good location and great view of Spider Lake. Windsong cabin has a well-equipped kitchen of high quality utensils, cookware and stove/range with large refrigerator for doing your own cooking while up North. We enjoyed snowshoeing around the shoreline of the Eastern bay of Spider Lake at sunset and good xc skiing on nearby trails. Incredible amount of snow in the woods!
