Had a lovely short break in this great townhouse. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of NT property nearby. Had a lovely visit with our grand daughter to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Located in the pretty village of Shelley we loved that the house was modern with all the related comforts and conveniences yet sympathetically built to blend in with the older stone buildings.
The house was a tardis- looked like a small terrace from the outside but had 4 spacious bedrooms over 3 floors, large living room with huge comfy sofa and utility room with washer dryer.
Very clean and well equipped kitchen. The cutlery is kept in a small drawer tuckled away at the top of the drawer under the hob- it has a grey plastic flap for a handle. This stumped us at first.
There is a handy coop a couple of minutes walk away and a Chinese takeaway (cash only).
For families- there’s a Dobbies garden centre called Pennines branch and the cafe there overlooks a beautiful hillside view. Kids eat free there all day every day, just make sure the staff manually put it through the full.
A nice pub called The Station pub in Crigglestone with all home made food and massive kids play area with loads of equipment to keep them happy- about 15 mins drive.

Lovely house, nice area
Overall a really positive stay. The house is of a very good standard, parking is superb and the area is very quiet and close to some beautiful places. I would definitely recommend and if we go to that area again for a stay we would try and book the same house again. WiFi is decent, decor is very nice. Very few niggles, like all holiday homes there are always little things as lots of people stay there. A big thanks to the owner, because of places like this we can afford to holiday a few times a year and are very grateful for it!
