Good location in Juarez, close to Balderas metro station. Quiet (hard to find in CDMX), comfy and charming.
The shared shower has no space for clothes / towels

I stayed there 4 nights and I am very happy about the choice.
The location is great, next to a local market and walking distance from a subway, yet it's on a calm safe street.
The room is small but has a lot of storage space, and is furnished with character, with furniture in line with last century building. The owner is very friendly, speaks good English, and has nice recommendations.
Compared also to the alternatives in Mexico City, the place was good value for money and I would stay there again.
The place only has the kitchen as common space and, since the room is small, lacks a space for relaxing on rainy days.
The toilets at times have problems.
The kitchen is not very equipped and the stove is slow.

Nice light, furnished with antiques, good location
Hot and stuffy room, requested a fan, they responded but it arrived the next day upon checkout, not useful!
Door to room was broken and couldnt lock leaving our belongings insecure inside.
Only chair in room was broken.

Very beautiful building and room, good location next to the metro and close to some of the main sights. Nice kitchen with your own box in the fridge and some cutlery/plates/cups etc
Very small bed for two people. There was only one shared toilet and shower, which was not a problem most of the time because no other guests were there, but if it was busier it would have been a bit complicated.

aesthetically pleasing for the price, felt private and higher end
rooms were very hot, no fans, mosquitos came in through the window and ate us while we slept. very poor communication from host, difficult to check in.

Great historical building and set up
Bathrooms/Shower outside-not able to lock bathroom door.
No remote for TV in the room

The room was very pretty and it was nice to have the French doors onto the balcony to let in lots of light or air at times. The shutters on the door help block out the street lights at night.
I was really happy with the comfy bed and various pillow options!
The bathroom and shower were very clean even if a bit strange (glass doors with curtains facing into the public hallways.)
The location as really close to a transit hub which made exploring the city easy and fast(ish) and it was only a few minute walk from some great restaurant areas.
Correspondence and in-person interactions with Casa Turin were not great. I msgs them 3 days in advance of my booking asking if I could add a second nights stay and never heard back. The day that I did arrive for my booking I was pointed to my room without a greeting, or any explanation of the padlock codes for my room or the front door, or directions to the shared washroom, or wifi info. I felt like I was chasing down info for most of my stay. Part of this may have been because I don't speak much Spanish but no effort was made to even try to explain the necessary basics.
The door into our room was a keyless entry padlock on glass french doors. Despite the thin semi transparent curtains over the glass doors the motion sensory hallways light flooded the room with light every time another guest entered the accommodation at night. You could see these guest through your thin curtain which didn't really instill any sort of sense of privacy in your room.

Beautiful room with a striking painting.
Didn't like the stairs to apartment with my suitcase.

The room was really nice and had a lot of character. It was really handy to have a bedroom sink. The cooking facilities were useful. We did ask for a bath matt for the shower and this was put outside the shower the very next day.
It lacked some basic privacy, for example the toilet door did not lock and this wasn't fixed despite our request. Also our bedroom door had thin translucent curtains over the window from our bedroom to the kitchen/hall so we felt exposed to the common areas where other rooms had thick curtains or shutters. The cleaner came everyday which was great for having clean facilities but the length of time for which they stayed and the irregularity of the cleaning schedule it made it difficult to shower or eat in the kitchen when they were there.

The reactivity of the personal
Casa Turin is just not ready to be an hostel (works)
The hostel given "in exchange" is really amazing, but just it's not possible.

Good location
It isn’t clear in the description and booking process that there is only 1 shared toilet and 1 shared shower for all the rooms, with no working light in the cubicles.

The room was really pretty and the bed was very comfortable, I also liked all of the closet space and it was very convenient having a sink in the room. The room also had a tiny balcony, you can’t stand on it but it let in great air flow. The bathrooms and showers were clean and so was the communal kitchen.
I didn’t like the window in the room, the window in the room facing the hallway only had a thin curtain over it making anyone able to see me and inside of the room when they were walking by. I felt really uncomfortable at night knowing anyone could see me lying in the bed when they walked by, the bathroom’s and showers were also shared, which was fine but the locks jammed on me several times causing me to be stuck inside for several minutes.
