First impressions, the property was lovely, the location was breathtaking from the beautiful sea view and surrounding areas. Ideal for a small family.
Views sensational
Hot tub was amazing!!!
Lots of nature to enjoy and local cats love to say hello
Ping pong table was a great touch!
We loved the outdoor shower! Not often I can say I’ve had a shower under olive trees looking at the beautiful view
It can’t be helped and it wasn’t that I didn’t like it but prepare for big hills and big bills for getting back to the villa. However when timed correctly there’s a lovely bus for only 1€. Taking you to and from Sorrento
Could do with some extra care outside, a little tidy up and some cushions for the furniture. It’s where we spent most of our time so that extra bit of love would be great.
No kettle
No wineglasses
Also some basic cleaning supplies such as a dustpan and brush. And a mop bucket just to dry the floor to make sure no one slips on the tiles

Great stay. Wasn't sure what to expect. Place is fully yours. Spa is beautiful overlooking the view. Fabrizia is the heart and soul of this place. So grateful for her hospitality.
In need of an upgrade but if you don't mind a little older style it's perfect.

the villa is very nice and about a 15 drive from Sorrento. the walk to town is easy but very hard work on way home! the villa was well equipped but did feel it was missing a few things in kitchen such as kettle and dishwasher.
the lady who checked us in was amazing and super helpful.
the furniture outside has seen better days

We booked Villa Malu for the views and were not disappointed! Finishing up each day sat on the terrace or in the hot tub looking over the bay of Naples was incredible and we found that we had everything we needed at the accommodation. It was comfortable, incredibly spacious, and well-equipped.
We'd planned to do a food shop in Sorrento and to then get a taxi to the villa with the heavy bags. This was a great recommendation from our host and meant we only had to carry a few fresh items home with us on the odd evening. We were met on arrival and were shown around and how everything works.
We would absolutely stay at Villa Malu again!
As some people have mentioned, Sorrento and the surrounding areas are built into the hills (you wouldn't get that incredible view without this!) so it makes sense that you'll have a decent walk to get to the villa. If you have an average level of fitness, you'll be absolutely fine with this. The path and steps are steep, but are pretty well-maintained. It took us around half an hour to climb up the 380ft ascent, taking breaks to look back at the view every now and then! The walkway is not lit at night, so if you are planning to walk back later, I would definitely recommend a head torch.

Very beautiful setting. We were left sparking wine, milk croissants jam and coffee. Very nice.
Not very well set up for non Italian guest. Nothing translated. Not able to figure how to operate microwave appliance. Coffee machine didn’t work properly. Spayed coffee all over.. Hot tub was like a Luke warm bath temperature. Set to around 30 deg C. Only one set of keys so we were unable to split up. Only found out later that you could take the path down to the city and avoid a 45 Eur Taxii.
They could have more helpful with simple maps.

The 15 minute very steep walk from Sorrento up to the villa.

The wonderful hosts met us in town to show us the way to the property and around the facilities. We had a bottle of fizz waiting for us and an Easter cake!
There was an excellent coffee machine, coffee pods and breakfast bits provided to get us off to an excellent start! Netflix for the kids, ping pong table was a big hit! Hot tub looking over Mount Vesuvius! What’s not to like!!

We enjoyed the views, the hot tub, and the spacious rooms. The host was kind enough to leave snacks, milk, coffee and croissants and a bottle of champagne before our stay. He also connected us with a person who spoke English that assisted with any issues, and gave recommendations. The villa is located in the hills amongst many fruit/vegetation which is cool to see.
This is in Priora, a suburb of Sorrento, and a bit of a treck to walk into the center of town, and taxis can be pricy each time from center of town to Priora/from the airport. However, the view from the property overlooking Sorrento is fantastic.

Size of terrace and range of outdoor furniture and hot tub. Good space inside villa and availability of Netflix
Unfortunately Sorrento is all very hilly so it was a very steep path to walk to and from Sorrento. Dangerous path in dark so had to pay extortionate fee for taxi a few nights. Also path involved being bitten by mosquitos.

Great location in Priora, above Sorrento. If you continue to follow the road that leads down to the villa, it will bring you to a set of stairs that will bring you to Sorrento in about 20mins. The villa is in a very quiet area and provides plenty of space - two bedrooms and a living room with a small/simple pull-out couch bed, the kitchen opens into the living room and had all the amenities/equipment we needed for cooking, and one simple bathroom with a shower/bath, toilet, and bidet.
Viviana met us for check-in and told us everything we needed to know. She was very nice and also helped arrange a boat tour to Capri during our stay, which was a last minute request after our reservation was cancelled within 24hrs, so we were very ecstatic with her help.
Driving to the villa can be a bit complicated depending from where you come, but the road down is very narrow and you'll need to do a multiple point turn to get into and out of the driveway/gate area. Otherwise, the driveway provides plenty of space for at least two cars and it is gated.
The jacuzzi needs better maintaining and cleaning. Similarly, the shower in the bathroom could use additional cleaning. The kitchen had barely any soap to clean the dishes and so we bought our own soap. The ping pong table was a tempting tease, but the paddles are all broken and there are no ping pong balls available.

The view from the villa is beautiful-the photos don't do it justice! We loved the outdoor shower and hot tub. The outdoor area is fabulous with various seating, tables and loungers to choose from. The villa feels very safe with secure entry gate. Indoors the villa is well equipped, comfortable and has very good air conditioning controlled separately for each bedroom and the living area. Beds and bedding were very clean and comfortable. It's lovely and peaceful being up out of the town but only takes about 15 mins to walk down to the town centre using the stairs. Viviana, who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful and was very quick to respond to any queries via Whatsapp. Thanks for a great stay!
We seriously underestimated the walk back up the stairs from the town. It's challenging in the heat during the day (especially if carrying groceries) and it's poorly lit at night. It took us a few days to figure out the buses and the taxis cost €45 each way. The buses to Priora from Sorrento stop around 7pm. The road was closed a couple of times during our stay meaning the only way back was to walk. Don't let this put you off booking though as the villa is fabulous and quiet with beautiful views. It's honestly one of the best properties we've stayed in- I just recommend factoring in taxi costs if you like being out at night and checking bus schedules and routes before you go.

Host met us outside the property, having arranged our airport transport. Luigi was helpful, warm, friendly and even carried out luggage for us. we felt instantly at ease.
Any issues that we had we're resolved by the team with such speed an efficiency, the customer service was excellent.

Great view, really comfortable place with all needed facilites.
Just for the first time - Not so easy to get there from Sorrento first time if you don't know this place. There is bus from city center ( Direction Priora ) whic stop just in front of vila wich is good and cheap option , or you need to take expensive taxi. There is also 20 mins logn path with a lot of stairs - only for people in good shape.
These options are not so obvious so it is good to ask host about them before you come.

Amazing place, great view. Can really recommend
The place was amazing - only “bad” thing was that the water in the bath couldn’t get warm. But screw that - amazing place!
