Gorgeous stay in South Goa

We spent a wonderful six nights at Anthy’s Guesthouse - we picked it by chance not knowing much about the area, but were very happy with our choice. The place is located on a very quiet and peaceful strip of pristine beach, with a variety of bars and restaurants about a 15-20 minute walk away in both direction along the beach. So it’s ideal if you want to be somewhere quiet but within easy reach of somewhere livelier. The accommodation is simple and comfortable, immaculately clean and arranged very prettily amongst well kept gardens. The restaurant overlooks the beach and the food is excellent with a decent choice. Handily, you can add all of your food and drinks to the bill and pay at the end by card. The service is top-notch; we weren’t surprised to hear that the manager Mahindra has previously worked in five-star hotels in the Middle East because the quality of service and attention to detail were much higher than I had anticipated for a place like this. Credit also to his team including Sharuk and Jamal who looked after us very well each day from breakfast to dinner. If you prefer to stay somewhere with a lot more charm than one of the big resorts but still expect the kind of service you’d get in a high quality resort, Anthy’s is the place for you. We’ll very much miss taking in those epic sunsets from the terrace and hopefully we’ll have the chance to return again very soon.

Une équipe au top dans un bel endroit

Une équipe au top, super sympa et toujours prête à vous rendre service. La chambre est simple, confortable et très bien entretenue tout comme les jardins. Cette guesthouse "les pieds dans l'eau" est idéale pour qui veut se reposer dans un bel endroit verdoyant et fleuri. Il est facile de réserver un taxi pour découvrir le nord ou le sud de l'Etat de Goa.

Overall Good Stay, Needs Improvement.

The staff is very Helpful. Location is Good. Property is Nice. Food was Good.

The bathroom is very Conjusted. Need 24*7 service as there can be emergencies during Night. WiFi Signal was poor inside the room. Needs Improvement on these points only then we can say it's the best property with value for money l

Very nice staff and really awesome location, but heavy power supply problems and quite unclean.

Really extremely nice staff. Very friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome with a half year old baby. Location directly at the beach, very nice, too! The entire guesthouse looks nice with flowers and plants. Good and reasonably priced foods and drinks. No one will starve here. Also very customer oriented and friendly with late check out etc.

Despite the mentioned good aspects, we can’t really agree with all the prior ratings. our room was not really clean (and only once cleaned on request), we had 3 roaches which come and go in both bathroom (doorframe) and bedroom. Once had rat on terrace hiding behind trash bin, observed another one in open restaurant. Every day and each day VERY often power shortages (up till 5 times per day). Once over 1.5 hours, including no running water (bad when you come from beach). WiFi not the best. Only on the last day we were informed that we could have expected every day cleaning and 2 bottles of water for free.

True Goan paradise!

Excellent staff/management. Lovely, tranquil ambience right on the ocean. Golden sands to walk along. Good breakfast. Comfortable room. Fishermen pulling in their long nets was very entertaining.

Excellent, Relaxing

Excellent Location, right at the beach. Great staff and very friendly service. If you are looking for a relaxing few days at the beach then Anthy’s is right place for you with almost empty beaches which makes it even more special.

Since they dont have their own parking, one must park at the public parking which has ample space. We parked our vehicle there during our stay and it was completely safe. Anthy’s provides a pick up and drop service from parking location at the time of check-in and check-out. Other times, we walked roughly 200 mtrs on the beach to reach guesthouse (Easy and walkable distance from the parking spot)

It’s connectivity to the beach, away from the city.

The only issue was that they don’t have a proper road for vehicles even for 4 wheelers. That should be made available for the 100 meter as I would want to park my car / bike in my resort/hotel only

Great location, comfortable stay

The location in excellent. Its right on the beach and is away from the crowds. The property is very clean and the staff are extremely courteous.

The AC was not working fine and we needed a fan to cool the room. The restaurant didn't have too many food options. The parking was far from the hotel.

Location right on beach isolated, and away from bigger crowds excellent, sunset. Gardens beautiful. Cleaning staff for rooms great. I would still recommend it because the other places looked similar.

Stray 🐕 🐶 all areas including beach. Witnessed an aggressive dog almost attack a child. Rubbish and dog poo on the beach. Oil tar stuck on our feet and dried on our bodies. Tables were brushed down with same brush used on floor. The place was run by young boys busy on their phones and you had to get their attention to come to the bar or table everytime. It was like faulty towers. No wine available till they could go to the shop to buy it. Many mosquito because of the water well. Solution put mosquito 🦟 netting. Drawers and cupboards not cleaned had sand in them on arrival. No background music at the resturant.

The property is excellent next to a clean private beach.

Everything was excellent from the location, food and friendly staff.

If you are booking from Booking.com they will charge you 12% extra and if you pay from a credit card they will charge 2.5% extra. This means you have to pay the total cost shown in the booking.com + 12% + 2.5%. I never faced such a thing in my prior bookings from the booking.com, this is the first time someone asked us to pay extra.

One of the best places to visit in South Goa

I don't think there was a single thing to dislike ar Andy's. It was my best discovery. Anthony has managed to bring together all the great elements that guests watch out for... location, service, cleanliness, comfort, you name it.

Paradise!

Beautiful place, right next to the beach. calm, quiet, no crowds. Amazing, you can listen to the sound of the waves, and if you feel like going out somewhere in the evening, there are many very nice restaurants on the beach right next to it. I will definitely come back here, paradise!

Nice guesthouse with a beautiful garden in an awesome location directly on the beach. A good restaurant is attached. Overall the staff is extremely nice and helpful, which was extraordinary. All the guys working there did an incredible good job. Perfect spot for a rest and a very calm time.

great location between colva and benaulim. peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle either side. I can’t think of a better place to stay in the area. Sun beds, great food, friendly established staff, lively beach, exceptionally clean rooms and somewhere to hang your washing outside your room. I’m coming back for sure!!!

Fantastic setting for a very reasonable price.

Absolutely wonderful location, you are right at the beach. And what a beach it is! Velvety sands, huge and empty, however there's always something interesing going on.

The restaurant was quite expensive for what it offered. Underwhelming breakfast. We decided to use the restaurant next door, as the choice was much richer.

Senond visit. Stayed in February 2020. Very very friendly and helpful staff. We ate breakfast there for 10 days and enjoyed the beach activity/entertainment from the front deck. Fisherman, bulls getting exercise, walkers, etc. Room was good size, adequate hot water. Repeat, staff made us very comfortble. Lots of good restaurants within 10 minute beach walk.

Staff needs more training, they made me wait for 2 hours with no apology.

I arrived at around 7:30pm and they said my room is still not ready. Check in time was after 2pm. There were lots of insects flying around the restaurant.

Location. Fantastic clean beach. Courteous service.

A road till property is needed. Without which the parking is required to be done at far away place which is not secured. Table, chair and an electric kettle should be provided in the room.

Nice stay at beach front

The owner and the staff are amazing and doing a really good job. the terrace invites to stay and enjoy the wonderful view.

The rooms and especially the beds and sheets can be cleaner.
