Beds & sofa were comfy, jacuzzi bath was a nice extra. Lots of space
No where to sit and eat food. Instead of having another twin bedroom downstairs that should be a dining room. Thankfully we weren't a group of 8 people wanting to sit and eat together as there were only 6 seats in the living room.
The shower upstairs is far too small, I had to get out to be able to wash myself as I couldn't move. Water pressure was also very slow.
No normal TV channels and the WiFi didn't work on the Tele in the small double.
2 lots of batteries in the remotes didn't work so kept having to swap them round.
Shower downstairs didn't work
Bulb missing in the black lamp in the living room
Bin hadn't been emptied in the twin room upstairs
Parking isn't great, the free carpark your only allowed to stay 24 hours and everywhere else is permit parking
4.4
It was spacious
The upstairs bathroom was very small and water pressure was low especially when someone is using the water in the downstairs bathroom
4.4
Nice layout, lots of space for our group. Good location - close to centre. Decent local pub.
Water pressure in showers was a bit low and the downstairs shower was very hot
4.4
Close to local amenities. Great size house for our party of 8. We could wash and dry our clothes each day with the washer and dryer. Harry was quick to respond to messages.
Water pressure is very slow but that’s just the North in general.

Property was big inside, plenty of space for the 8 of us plus a 2 year old. Plenty of plug sockets, the rooms had lamps with usb ports in and also my room had an extension lead with usb ports which was really handy, hairdryers in each room and towels too.
The smallest double room is pretty small and my husband being tall didn’t fit in the bed as it’s up against the wall and window wall, I couldn’t sleep that side either as I’m claustrophobic, but all other rooms were perfect size, beds super comfortable, with plenty of space
4.4
Comfortable and clean, relaxed place to stay
Nothing I dislike have all facilities I needs for my stays
4.4
Beautiful furnishings, lots of space, comfortable beds, close to shopping centre
No instructions on how to use facilities including heating. Dishes and cutlery were dirty - food residue/greasy. Limited kitchen utensils. Full bin (including bags on the floor) outside of the front door on arrival and for duration. Broken window in main bedroom. Water pressure not great in either bathroom, couldnt even figure out how to work shower upstairs, stairs are VERY steep.
Not as close to Alton Towers as I thought it would be..maybe 30/40 min drive.

Lovely big house with all the amenities you need for a large family.
4.4
The house is spacious and light. The kitchen was well equipped with pots and pans etc which enabled us to cook a meal every day. There was a washer and dryer which I imagine would come in handy if staying for longer or visiting waterworld. There is a corner shop across the road if you run out of milk etc. The landlord is friendly and approachable and the property is excellent value for money.

Having a bedroom on the ground floor as a member of the family finds stairs difficult was a great advantage. Great size accommodation, nice and clean, great layout. Jacuzzi bath was lovely. Great location kids found a lovely park nearby next to tesco Local. Would definitely recommend.
It's hard to park a large vehicle nearby. Streets nearby can be quite busy at times. Found somewhere eventually.
4.4
Parking was a challenge- often had to park several streets away.

The house was very clean and modern! Couldn't believe the size of it 👌
There was nothing we didn't like

The property was spacious, comfortable with great facilities within. A great hub for the family for travelling to Alton Towers. A lot of shops, nice parks not far from the property. There were things that we did not like but if these issues had been managed better prior to our arrival, it would have been a great stay.
A shame that the property wasn’t clean, there were food stains on dishes from previous stays and there were other persons dirty socks within the drawers in the main bedroom. We cleaned what we needed, however not how we wanted to start our holiday. The upstairs bathroom shower is tiny, I’m slim and I struggled to get washed in it. But not an major issues as we resorted to using the downstairs bath/shower, which the kids loved with the jacuzzi function! Don’t be running any other taps whilst have a shower though, as the water pressure is really poor and can be non existent if someone runs another tap or flushes the toilet. The stairs going upstairs are steep, our 5 year old was just able to use them. Any younger children, it may not be suitable. For any families with young children, the upstairs middle bedroom has a window that opens up fully, does not lock in place when partially opened and the key did not work when we tried to lock it. The rest of the windows that open are higher up in the other rooms. Lastly, there is very little parking available on the street….but you can park on the majority of the surrounding streets. Some streets require a permit but that is clearly signposted. The street is a thoroughfare and can be busy with other traffic at all times of the day.

Lovely house. Clean and nicely decorated.
Bad water pressure and steep stairs.
4.4
clean. tidy
steep stairs
4.4
light and airy/ decorated to suit the style and period of the house
bath took forever to fill and whilst running it there was no hot water available in the kitchen.
Parking was also a problem on our second night as the only spaces available nearby were all permit holders only.

The property was very spacious and comfortable with decent sized bedrooms (plenty of rooms and beds, perfect for a group.☺️👍) Absolutely loved the spa bath too, that was a real treat!
The water pressure worked intermittently which was a problem when trying to have a shower or do dishes etc. Also trying to get the water temperature just right felt impossible (far too hot.) Parking was also a bit of a problem, there is nowhere to park sometimes and can be tricky when you’re trying to pack and unpack or if you’ve been for food shopping and you can’t get outside the house to unload.😬👎

House was beautiful and very comfy indeed. Local to tescos and some local shops. Wee pub across the way birches head serves excellent food and drinks. Owner of the pub very friendly. Very cheap for food.
Couldn't complain at all about the house, would definitely stay here again.
The stairs are very steep indeed and the oven was extremely dirty with bits of bread etc in it and could not be used. Could do with a clean.
4.4
Location was great for Alton towers
Shower was very small upstairs and other shower wasn’t great pressure

The house had really lovely modern decor, spacious rooms and the children loved the spa bath in the bathroom downstairs.
The stairs in the property were very steep.
I would maybe suggest a stair gate at the top if you have young children.
Parking is also a bit tricky.

Not much in the locality but was fine for us, for going to Alton Towers

The house was great, big, spacious, ideal for what we wanted it for (Close to Alton towers)
3 corner shops within walking distance. Closest one is right across the street, and another one a few doors down. The rooms are big and beds comfortable.
The kids loved it there.
The stairs are very steep, but we got used to it very quickly. We put our to youngest boys (7,9) on the ground floor so they didn’t have to walk up and down, as there’s a bathroom on the ground floor aswel.
Plenty of takeaways and fish and chip shops close by.
Parking was good. Managed to park opposite the house, and round the corner during our stay. We traveled with myself, my husband, and 5 kids (16,13,11,9,7)
Host was great at communicating. We’re back again in October, and already booked another 2 stays for next year.
The stairs 😂

House was exactly as described. And communication was excellent
