Nice hotel but air conditioning control did not work

The hotel facilities, rooms and staff were excellent. The only thing that let it down was that we went half board and despite having a good food allowance the evening meal was diabolical. Firstly our meals were overcooked then the second time they arrived, the order was incorrect.
We also asked if we could pre-order the children's meals to take to the room when we finished in the restaurant, but it was prepared to early and was given to us cold do the children didn't eat that evening.

Back here after our first trip three years ago. All still good and nice to find that we still get free cookies!

Large comfortable room. Quick efficient check in. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful hotel, our room was immaculate. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was busy as we stayed during school holidays but the staff were excellent at replenshing everything. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very convenient for Alton Towers.

It was a lovely family stay, in a suite room. we were cold though, I had to ring housekeeping in the morning regarding the heating as the radiators hadn't come on. So they brought an electrical radiator which didn't do anything to be honest. We were told the heating was on a timer. You would think this time of year the heating would most definitely have come on in the morning.

I was in room 232 and it sounded liked I was above a laundry and the sound of a drier was going all night and all morning. I had to put my headphones in to be able to get to sleep as it was too loud

Nice stay in good quality hotel

Overall room was nice and clean. Service in the bar area was slow, not very attentive and extremely robotic. Waited ages to get served at the bar although 3 staff were behind it - but seemed to be serving other areas of the restaurant. One guy was making cocktails for other tables but was so slow and when he was the only one in the bar area did not apologise or say someone will be with you - you just ended up watching him make drinks for someone else.

The hotel overall is good but I would not stay here again as I found their swimming pool disappointing. It was the main reason for staying there with the family. It’s not clear on their website it just saying open until 9pm. Turned up at 8pm after long drive to hotel and they told the children (aged 11 and 14 with advanced swimming/racing skills) they could have 10 discretionary minutes as it was adults only. On Saturday morning we wanted to go for a swim. Got down there and the pool was closed from 10am until midday for toddler swimming lessons. Not happy. Hotel should not have extra star if the pool isn’t available to paying guests! We gave up using their swimming pool facilities. Changing rooms were not clean either but if you don’t swim or gym the hotel is fine.

The stay was lovely very busy upon arrival but reception staff did their best.
I was disappointed with the lack of choice of drinks at the bar, for such a quality hotel to run dry at the pumps for every single option of beer/larger is poor management with only bottle left, even the mixers where non existent. Otherwise well done.

Friendly staff throughout, Clean . Comfortable beds , quick check
In with free cookies , affordable parking . Best of all food was delicious . The roast dinner was superb . Breakfast also faultless

Everyone we met was very friendly. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of good and drinks. Pool , steam room ; sauna , and the gym were a nice perk without additional cost.
4.2
The staff is helpful and friendly. Different room has different temperatures and cannot be adjusted. I travelled with my friends. We stayed at 2nd floor, my friends stayed at 3rd and 4th floor. My room is the hottest and the 4th floor is the coldest.
4.2
Rude on reception. Charged for parking when it clearly says on site parking complimentary. Extortionate bar prices. Didnt sleep at all due to other people shouting and banging doors and a car alarm going off for over an hour.
4.2
Helpful, friendly staff, comfortable room and amenities, good food. Only thing stopping a 5 star review was the noise: from outside (windows were closed), and other rooms flushing toilets and other doors, on floor above, being shut. Seemed like little or no sound proofing. Otherwise good stay.

Our stay was amazing thanks to the staff n most especially the manager called. Alaaeldin , he was so good n professional. His customer service was top notch. He deserve a raise. My self n family had a great time thanks to him, this is one of the best times ever spent there. Kindly let him know that he did well. The best manager ever .

The room was nice though the lack of air con was disappointing.
The food was quite hit and miss. What I wanted to order was unavailable when ordering three small plates. When I got the nachos there was no sour cream on them so I asked for this and they said they did not have any! Breakfast was not topped up in a timely way so a bit of a scramble when food came out! Otherwise a nice hotel and staff

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights on the AltonTowers trip in 2023.
We was so amazed with the service we booked again for the 2024 trip.
Again the service is fantastic, the staff are so friendly and will almost do anything for you to make your stay more enjoyable.
The swimming pool great to relax in after using the Steam Room / Sauna. This just adds more to your stay. We have yet to try the gym as the sauna zapped me of energy.
Maybe next time
The Breakfast was great, however dont think my body thanked me for it. Extra bacon and sausages just cant say no
The Restaurant was agin fantastic with a great selection of food. This along with a nice cold refreshing pint of local ale hits the spot perfectly.
The Room was great X2 Queen Beds for myself and Daughters. The Beds are so comfortable and both my Daughters didnt want to get up. The Bathroom lovely and high water pressure makes you feeling great after a hot shower.
The Hotel is placed nicly next to WaterWorld and if you have a family higly recommend this place. Its great fun and once your done back to the Hotel and sample them Ale again.
Myself and Daughters cant find a fault with this place and highly recommend if your doing the AltonTowers or any trip for a stay over... you will be happy you did.
A massive thanks to the Staff you all deserve a pat on the back.
2025 will book this again maybe longer stay this time.

Family of five (2 teens, 1 10 year old). Good space but sofa beds not comfy and very creaky! Room was mostly clean but there was some rubbish and big lumps of dust/dirt next to one of the beds. We checked in late so I brought it to their attention the next day and nothing had changed by the time we got back that evening. Very disappointing.
Lovely pool. Fantastic breakfast. Really lovely bar space for the evening and a great feel. Overall a good stay.

We requested 2 cots and phoned up to confirm and was moved to a cheaper room because 2 cots wouldn’t fit in our room we had booked. Even though I was told they was the same size rooms but a sofa bed instead of a queen bed.
It was all confirmed so after a long day travelling and 2 tired young children we showed up and went to the room to find no cots.
I went straight to reception who told me due to the large wedding they had run out of cots and that somebody should have phoned me up. I told them I had rang up to to confirm everything and even been moved rooms.
The lady said she would have to go argos and get some. But wouldn’t take long less then 30 mins . Bear in mind it was already 18:45 but all good it was being resolved we could get kids ready for bed and then straight to bed. 30mins has gone I go down to reception the lady is still there. I didn’t say anything in case someone else had gone out. I went back down 25 mins later she was telling someone she had to go out. Another 25 mins later she knocked on our door with cots from another hotel telling us that the shop was shut.
By this point the children was over tired and 1 wouldn’t stop crying. It took us another hour to get them both to sleep.
Terrible experience.
To top it off the hotel has no aircon just 2 very cheap and unpowerful fans in the room meaning it was 27degrees in the room
Needless to say for the cost and a Hilton chain of hotels it was all a joke and a premier inn would have been nicer and cheaper

Team was welcoming and professional.
Fold out bed was really not comfortable. And the standard bed was ok but nothing amazing. The pillows although looking nice and big, just deflating when your head made contact and offered absolutely no support.
At the restaurant for dinner, the team once again really welcoming. My daughter is dairy free and had loads of choice in the kid menu.
I am gluten free and again lot of choice. Food was ok, but that is it, not nice, just ok, which made it feel quite overpriced.
The server also kept getting confused on who was gluten free, and although we corrected him a couple of time, he still brought my husband a gluten free burger and then explained it was to avoid 'cross contamination' but my daughter's burger was a normal bun, so that was just a bad excuse to not own up to the mistake made.
The leisure pool was big enough for the toddler to play in but not big enough to swim, you also have to book a slot.
Breakfast was good, just really busy but they had a wedding the previous night so that would explain it.

Hotel was as expected. Will stay again.

Best hotel experience. Hotel staff were so kind and friendly and the leisure area was so great!

Our room was spacious and the gym was a good addition to our stay.

Great hotel. Stayed in the family suite which was massive and great for the 5 of us. Lovely warm heated pool and very good food.
4.2
To be fair, we weren’t asking for a lot. We wanted a nice room with a comfortable bed and great shower.
We’d spent time on a not so luxurious canal boat.
The room was lovely, bed comfortable, shower hot.
4.2
Great hotel for stop over near Alton towers. Good value for money £135 b&b for family of 3.
Within walking distance of other eating establishments & water world literally next door.
Breakfast decent.
Reception staff friendly & helpful.
Leisure staff need to be more on the ball though, no mention of towels, i had to ask & also never mentioned how the lockers operate (i.e need a padlock, which can be obtained by handing in room key), a nice lady told me in the changing room.
Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. We would return & recommend.

We were staying for 2 nights, the first night my daughters bed was very uncomfortable and the room was warm. However, after speaking with the lovely lady on reception a move to a different room resolved all issues in a polite, friendly and professional manner! We were extremely pleased with the change of room! Thank youI
