Semplicemente terribile

The management, cleaning, the environment. Sono stata cacciata dall’ostello perché mi sono lamentata che qualcuno è entrato nella mia stanza mentre dormivo alle 2 am per fare degli scherzi infantili. Inoltre il fatto non è successo una sola volta, bensì due volte solamente nella mia stanza. Il giorno dopo parlando con altri ragazzi dell’ostello ho capito che era una prassi ricorrente. Il proprietario piuttosto che risolvere il problema ha preferito cacciare me, invece di cercare di capire chi fossero i colpevoli. Un ostello decadente che merita di chiudere per la scarsa gestione.

good company

The hostel owner let me know that the hostel was to close for renovations a few days before my arrival, which threw me off slightly as I had booked on this platform and there was no update of this kind. I paid the same that everybody pays for in this hostel, which looks really nice in pictures, but it basically was a construction site. The biggest problem for me was the lack of earlier communication about this and the fact that the booking was non-refundable, therefore I had no choice but to stay or go but lose my money.

Terrible conditions, checked out after two hours of stay.

moved to a different hostel two days before arrival. Damp smell and broken windows in room, no smoke alarm in room, no hot water in shower.

Bad

The owner is very rude. (Arnoud De Le Mart) If you don't contact him, it looks like his ego is broken. Just out for money. Which is not invested in the hostel itself. I advise you not to go to this hostel.

Good all round hostel.

The atmosphere is good, if you want to chill out by the pool and read a book you can, want to have a couple chilled beers and listen to music by the pool, you can. Staff are good, always went above and beyond for me. Location for me is good, five minute walk into town, close enough for everything you need, but just far enough away for a peaceful stay. I've stayed at all the hostels in Darwin, and in my opinion they are all good in their own ways. If your after a relaxed stay, but still want to have a bit of a party, then Darwin Hostel will suit you fine. For me I've always enjoyed myself the most at Darwin Hostel. Enjoy!

nice, will stay here again if I’m in darwin again

small, pretty clean, excellent vibe, just a really nice place to relax and feel comfortable while visiting Darwin

over all I didn’t mind the manager, he puts a lot of work into the hostel and tries to make everyone’s stay the best it can be but was unprofessional at times and got irritated easily at certain people

I did not stay here but was charged

I did not stay at the property! the manager sent me a text via WhatsApp to say they had double booked me. ‘Arno’ advised me he would cancel the reservation and refund me. This did not happen. Terrible service

Good stay

It was very central to everything, and the outdoor space and kitchen facilities were very good. Felt very safe.

Communication was slow and we had to contact them several times to get them to answer our questions.

Best hostel in Darwin!

The hostel is really nice. Close to everything, but out of the partyscene. It is a quite and social place, but not a party hostel. Good kitchen. Wifi was ok. Not everywhere, but in common areas it kind of worked. Kitchen was good with a lot of equipment to make proper meals with. Lots of fridges and storage space for food.

Could be a bit cleaner and when I arrived there was no one for check in. Also got some confusions about the wrong rooms after extending, but at the end it was all good. Nice staff, good people and cozy place!

Good value for money, but could be better

Staff responsive via text/calls when help needed. Easy self check in/out without needing anyone to be physically present. Working air conditioning.

Place is kinda messy with towels and washing hanging around outside randomly. Shower floors kinda slimy. Door code I was given was not correct as the code had changed by the time I arrived.
