This was a truly wonderful stay with a wonderful host. The screened in porch is surrounded by lovely landscaping and provides a bug free, quiet place to relax. Very kid and dog friendly. Loved our stay and highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. Host was very communicative, the home is lovely with a roomy screened porch (shared by the other two apartments within the house), a flower-filled garden and patio, and the location was perfect for getting to Eagles Mere Conservancy trails which in turn connect to state park trails. If you have kids, the Conservancy was offering daily educational programs and the people there are super nice! Although the house is very close to the lake, we didn't go to it and didn't miss it--there was so much else to do with the trails and the town. Didn't get into our car at all between arrival and check-out. Also, a very dog-friendly location--and at the same time very clean. The Sweet Shop and another downtown place are a half-mile away with outdoor seating that is also dog-friendly. And there is an Inn with several dining options even closer. Kitchen very well stocked, too, if you want to eat in (but if so, you may want to get groceries on your way in as there isn't a big store in town that we found). Music on the green was an unexpected treat! This is just a lovely and peaceful place to unwind.

Enjoyed a week in this clean, convenient unit. 4 adults and 1 infant. Great hiking, walks to beach, Inn, shops and sweet shop for lunch and ice cream.

One of the cleanest rental properties I have ever stayed in! The space was plenty and comfortable! Loved the Porch and easy walking to the pond, lake and dinner at the EM InN.

Lovely place
A friend and I found this place to stay as we were running a race nearby. I wish we could have stayed longer. Karen was reachable by telephone and responded quickly to our questions. The place was well stocked and the location was great. Eagles Mere is such a quaint community. Definitely would go back.

Great stay
I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and mother and an additional night with my husband. There was plenty of space for everyone to stay and get ready the following day. I enjoyed having a fully stocked kitchen. The location was quaint and the outdoor seating area was beautiful. You could actually hear the stream from one of the bedrooms. Just a short walk or drive from downtown Eagle’s Mere. Property owners were very nice and quick to respond. Would definitely stay again! And, it’s pet friendly 😊

Excellent Location
Stayed in 1B on first floor and it was nice size. We were able to walk to everything in town and had close access to many hiking trails. Met the proprietor, Karen, and she was very conscientious about making sure we were happy with the place, etc.

Great place, excellent hosts!
The place was great, would definitely stay here again! I think the rooms are bigger than they seem in the pictures. Everything was clean, well stocked, plenty of towels, linens, kitchen gadgets, etc. The water was yellow from a recent storm. I messaged the hosts about it, they were there within minutes with bottled water. Also they were very accommodating, provided a crate for the dog vacationing with us.

The house is directly across the street from a large nature conservancy. I was originally planning to travel to Rickett’s Glen every day, but when I learned all the hikes and nature that were available right in Eagles Mere, I didn’t need to/want to leave the area.

Eagles Mere is great and loved the size of the apartment. Much larger than we expected. Amenities are neat and tidy but a little dated. Definitely a relaxing place to stay and a great choice for people who like to enjoy the outdoors. The gardens around the house itself are also really beautiful and were full of butterflies when we stayed. A few deer came through to eat apples from the tree every morning. We loved walking to town in the evening for ice cream at the sweet shop. The outside grill came in handy but the fire pit and outdoor patio area could also use a little update. Eagles Mere lake was amazing. My daughter loved it. Overall would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful Serene Place
Excellent week. Stayed in Apt. B which was spacious, clean and well-stocked with linens and all the kitchen tools needed to cook a nice meal each night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. We rented this property because our home was going through renovations and needed to vacate our space. I had to telework daily. The internet was great and definitely a must. Bring bottled water, there is a little iron in the local water. Also, bring a nice stock of groceries. You will be a bit removed from a grocery. The property was impeccable, charming, and peaceful with lots of space to stretch out.

Karen was a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The house had a nice screen porch and was in a perfect location in Eagles Mere and close to Words End and Ricketts Glen State Park.

Remote Lake House
Clean, well stocked, spacious and nicely situated in a hikers paradise. Access to the lake facilities was an absolute plus for the kids . Worlds end ( 15 min) and Ricketts Glenn ( 35min) makes it great to explore the outdoors.

The rental was spacious, clean, comfortable, perfect for family. Location was perfect for fishermen and active children as trails were right across road.. Screened porch, outdoor seating were places to relax and listen to creek and birds.

Excellent property to stay at Eagles Mere
This is our second time in this area. Two years ago we visited World's End State Park. This time we went to this place to visit Ricketts Glen State Park. The rental property was excellent. We were two families with couple of children. Everyone had lot of fun. The owner are super communicative - responded almost immediately of any questions. Provided lot of stocks in the kitchen, bathroom, additional linens, beds, heater etc. I would highly recommend this property.

This is our second time staying at Karen and Kevin's property in the downstairs apartment. We enjoyed everything about it and hope to visit again sometime soon!

Loved the historical town and lake
Excellent experience. Liked the layout and large rooms. Only issue was toilet functioning, due to be replaced soon. Limited cell tower available, preventing adequate communication with owners. But loved the overall experience.

Writing retreat
I spend a very quiet week in this lovely apartment. You get a lot of space for your money! The kitchen and dining room are huge. Karen and Kevin are lovely proprietors who are keen to make sure you have a good stay. It was a very short walk to the lake. My dog enjoyed every minute of her swimming excursions! Yes - this is a pet friendly place. They even had a pooper scooper for me to use to clean up the yard! If you are inclined, there is a fire pit, gas grill and plenty of outdoor seating. I got a lot of writing done on this trip. There is not a lot to do this time of the year in Eagles Mere, but if you are a hiker/outdoorsy person, go for it! Would highly recommend!

A lovely garden surrounds a huge old house containing 3 apartments. We stayed in the Large 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, dining room and living room. Internet and a large new TV with Roku worked great. We were able to cook our own meals in the well supplied kitchen, and eat out on the screened in porch. When I contacted him, the owner came out right away to fix something that broke.Be advised to bring bottled water though, as the local water has iron in it.

My husband, dog, and I really enjoyed our stay! This property is ideally situated across the street from the pond, so you can access hiking trails or drop a canoe in and paddle to the lake. It's just a short walk to the town and even though the property is on the main road, it was very quiet (we came after Labor Day). The unit itself is incredibly spacious and the kitchen well-equipped. We enjoyed cooking our meals there and on the slate patio which had lots of seating, a grill, and a fire pit. Check-in was a breeze. The owners Karen & Kevin were very accommodating. They added an extra day when I mis-booked, emailed to let us know we could check in early, and let us borrow their canoe. I highly recommend!

Perfect Homebase in the Endless Mts
We really enjoyed our stay this weekend at Kevin and Karen's property. We stayed in the first floor two bedroom unit of the house, which was bright, very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was very large and well stocked. We were also thankful for the washer / dryer and for a great internet connection, both of which we weren't planning on but were glad to use. Loved the garden, the screened in front porch, and the view of the pond from the dining room! The location was amazing -- the house is right across the street from the Eagles Mere Conservancy entrance, which meant we could head over for a hike without getting in the car. It's also just down the road from the Sweet Shop, which serves coffee, lunch, dinner, and ice cream. This lovely home made our stay easy and relaxing. Thanks to Kevin and Karen for their wonderful hospitality!

Airy gem central to all that is Eagles Mere
We were blown away by the size of our unit (Unit B) -- so open and airy, with all the blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, and kitchen supplies you could want or need. Beautiful enclosed porch AND additional sleeping porch really add to that cabin-in-the-mountains feeling, while still being walking distance to everything in town and just a short drive to the beach. Or, if you borrow the owners' kayaks, or bring your own, you can just cross the street to the connected pond and paddle right across the lake! An absolute gem in a town where it can be hard to find a booking, especially if you're looking for something outside the usual weekend-to-weekend, one-week commitment. Owners were easy to contact, very helpful, and completely accommodating. Thank you, Karen and Kevin!

Eagles Mere get-away
We had a wonderful time in Eagles Mere and the apartment was perfect. The location is great and the apartment is very spacious. A large well-equipped kitchen made cooking easy. With both a screened and unscreened porch we were able to enjoy the lovely view. Cannot wait to go back!

Did not want to leave
We recommend staying here and cannot wait to return.Karen was so helpful in her suggestions since this was our first visit to Eagles Mere. The lake and the hiking trails were the best. It was also for us a quiet environment and all we met in the community were friendly. And people were wearing masks and social distancing. Plus the dining at Eagles Inn was delicious and safe.
I want to add that the kitchen was better equipt than my own. All appliances worked well.
Honestly we cannot wait to return and recommending this location to anyone who will listen!! Even if they don't want to listen HA

Gem!
The owner, Karen, was wonderful from the start. She was a great communicator and made sure that my check in was easy and seamless.
The property was awesome in all respects. Even with it being a multi unit property, you barely saw other people even in the shared spaces. The back patio had ample seating and was a great size. The property itself was well taken care of and had beautiful flowers.
The location was also key, right across the street was the pond with access to multiple trails and the big lake. I would highly recommend this property for your next stay in Eagles Mere.

Grracious hosts
My family of four adults stayed in the four bedroom, 2 floor unit, but found that 1 floor and two bedrooms was more than ample space. And we all loved spending most of our time, when we weren't on the lake or in town, playing board games or having a meal on the spacious screened-in porch. Kevin and Karen made sure every one of our needs were met, and allowed us to use their kayaks, as the lake's boat rental place wasn't quite open yet during the week we arrived. Their home was not only well stocked with all the essentials, including kitchen cookware, etc, but was tastefully decortated and comfortable and felt like home from the minute we arrived. Kevin and Karen are gracious hosts and we were all sorry that our getaway had to end. We'd definitely rent from them again!
