Overall nice, but a bit dated and run down. Great having access to the pools. Property manager graciously allowed us a late check out, which made up for multiple lost days due to a hurricane.

We have been visiting Kiawah Island SC for almost 10 years and this was by far the WORST managed and FILTHIEST property we have ever stayed.Dead cockroaches and crumbs left on floor, matchbox toys left behind chair, dust bunnies, caked on dust on baseboards, doors and on all bathroom floors around freestanding tub and under vanities and nightstands/beds,mold on shower wall tile, black, filthy oven that required me to self clean it before first use because it smoked up the entire house, stained comforters and blood stain on master bedroom sheets, drip stains on cabinets, grill so filthy that it caught fire first use(no grill brush provided). This was advertised as a luxury rental but there was nothing luxurious about it.The kitchen was not equipped for a house that states it accommodates 12 people.Only one spatula was provided, zero dish cloths or drying towels provided and only one baking dish(Pyrex) deep enough to cook a meal for our family of six. After messaging the host after our arrival(since we rented through VRBO), it took over 48 hours for a response. MHad we rented through the resort, we were told upon checkout that we would have been refunded through the resort for our rental. This property manager misrepresented this rental as a VRBO when in fact,it was a resort managed rental, causing much confusion as to who was managing it. We were refunded $210 cleaning fee for an almost $10,000 week rental and accused by PM of trying to extort money when we asked for a refund!

Our group enjoyed this house so much! Starting the morning with coffee on the deck was lovely. You could not ask for a better location - we biked and walked to most everything we wanted to do. From check-in to departure, our experience was seamless and enjoyable.

We could not have asked for a better location. The house is probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. We totally enjoyed watching the golfers. All around so perfect and comfortable. Will be staying again!!

Another wonderful stay for our family at 5 Greensward. It is an exceptionally comfortable and well-stocked home. NIce touches of throw blankets for chilly winter mornings, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, updated baths, lovely deck/outdoor area. Location is wonderful - short walk to beach and bike paths, lovely water and golf course view.

Our family of 9 rented this pretty home for a family wedding that we attended at the Sandcastle. The home was large, clean, comfortable, and close to everytthing....perfect for all of us.

There really isn’t a property manager here.
This is a Kiawah Island Resort rental.
It was not like our usual Vrbo experience.

The house is spacious and comfortable, with a back deck overlooking the golf course. While the pool closest to the house was closed during our stay, we were an easy drive or bike ride to the main pool complex and beach access. It's a beautiful spot and a great place for a family vacation.

This is our 2nd Christmas at this property and that’s for a reason. First, the house and location was perfect for multiple generations in the same space. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out when we needed space but the gathering rooms were large enough to hold all of us when we wanted to be together. Secondly, the location at the resort and the distance from the larger city of Charleston was ideal for everything from last minute runs to the local grocery store (that had everything) to great restaurants and shopping. Lastly, the customer service was impeccable! We had a few issues a couple hours after arrival but the property manager gave us her number to contact her and she responded immediately to our concerns. Not only that, but since she was unable to get the help we needed during Christmas, she didn’t forget about us. To my surprise and delight, weeks later she reached back out to fully resolve the issue! Talk about leaving a great impression!
I don’t know if we will be back this year for Christmas since we want our family to explore different areas of the country each year. However, I am sure that we will be back to this exact property at some point in the future! It now feels like home.

Just right for us
Our family met up here and the layout of the house was wonderful. We enjoyed the location and really loved the back porch view. We even had an alligator walk right past the deck on its way to another fishing spot. House was pretty well stocked and we were thankful for a lovely place to spend together.

Husband was attending a conference. Everyone was happy, would definitely rent again.

Great house for kids
We loved the location and access to resort pools for the kids. The house was great but there were several things that needed some TLC. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to go back.

Great Stay could have been better
The property was as advertised. Location and bike pathways are excellent. About half mile walk to the beach which is far for little kids but luckily parking was available likely because we went off season. Check in was supposed to be 430 but we didn't have access until well after 5:00pm. The kitchen was somewhat equipped but didnt have tin foil, plastic wrap, or good containers for leftovers. Also no beach towels. The sink became detached from the countertop the first night which was unfortunate since our plan was to cook meals in the kitchen given many of the restaurants on the resort are closed or booked with reservations. We were told it would be too much time to fix the sink during our stay so they added a piece of wood under the sink to balance it out so it would function for our stay. We made it work. The house has a great layout for multiple families with 3 master bedrooms spaced out from each other. Clearer instructions for check out procedures would have been appreciated.

Can't wait to return!
This home is beautiful and spacious for big groups or large families. It's very clean, updated and nicely decorated and is close to all amenities. Just a quick walk to the beach, golf club, bike rentals and all the amazing shops, dining and grocery store. We're looking forwarding to returning soon! We had a wonderful, relaxing, fun time.

Would stay again!
Loved our week at Kiawah at this place. Convenient to beach, pool, golf at Cougar Point. Our only minor complaint was the cleaning crew could have done a bit more thorough job before we arrived, but it’s the beach at the end of the day, so totally understand it can be difficult to keep a house as clean as one might find in an inland location. Property manager very responsive and helpful in providing information. Do wish we didn’t have to rent so many bikes and beach chairs for the week and would be provided with the house, but again, understand owners would spend a fortune fixing/replacing them with so much use. For what it costs to stay here, you’d think some of that might be provided though. Overall, an awesome week and we will be back!

Spring Break at Kiawah
We just spent 8 nights at this property with our children and grandchildren and had a great visit. The home comes with Resort Privileges which is a definite plus and the house has a great layout for our group. The property manager was responsive and we would rent this home again.
We have been to Kiawah many times and overall, the service on the Island seems to have declined significantly which is unfortunate. The staff at check-in need significant hospitality training and the Night Heron pool seemed understaffed and not able to accommodate the number of guests. Ryder Cup bar service was slow and staff were not able to appropriately service the number of guests. We recognize this was a busy week however, this was not at all reflective of our previous experiences.

Perfect location and spacious lovely home
We had a wonderful time on our first trip to Kiawah, and this home was the perfect launching pad for enjoying everything the island has to offer. The house is actually much more spacious than it appears, and we had bedrooms we didn't even use! The location is perfect. My kids could easily bike on their own to the pools, tennis courts, park, and to see friends at the Sanctuary. One tiny note: Folks should note that beach towels aren't included. I see now that the listing only includes bath towels, and I have since learned from friends who'd been to Kiawah they often aren't included. But I had never experienced that before, and was a little surprised, so it might be something to flag for people. We would be thrilled to visit again and to stay at this house.

Great place to ring in 2021 safely!
We had 6 young adults and 2 not-so-young adults for this annual holiday trip. We moved our “bubble” for a change of scenery in an environment we felt we could manage safely.
This home was great for this purpose, especially the large outdoor space! The outdoor furniture is plentiful and well made. The location is very convenient, and we enjoyed easy walks to the beach and Cougar Point Clubhouse, golfing, biking, and kayaking. It is easy to find outdoor activities at Kiawah.
The bedrooms are spacious and furnished well for a vacation home. The beds were all comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and well done. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, basic spices, plenty of flatware and dishes. We cooked or carried in for all our meals so this was especially helpful. The two large living areas with plenty of seating allowed us to spread out. The TV’s were large and of good quality in all the rooms. For my sports loving family, a big plus! The charging stations in living areas and bedrooms are another thoughtful touch. The large dining table was great for puzzles! We especially liked the layout with large windows and easy access to the outdoors, bedroom configuration, and comfortable gathering spaces. Watching bird life, golfers and walkers was enjoyable. If you enjoy birds, bring some seed and fill the feeders that are in the yard! We will do this next time!
The only downside was the cleanliness of the home when we arrived. It was sub par by any standard. This was unfortunate, but rectified by housekeeping the next day at our requested time. It was helpful that b/c of travel schedules our party was arriving on different days. Had we all arrived at the same time the impact of this would have been greater. Certainly not ideal, but I was prepared with extra cleaning supplies due to COVID, so we were fine for one night.
Even with the cleanliness issue, we would definitely consider this home for another trip to Kiawah.

Our kids did the research for our Thanksgiving Getaway and suggested this property. With Covid restrictions, we didn’t do as much organized activities as we would have normally, so the having a property that accommodated our large group with enough space for 4 adults, and 4 big kids was crucial. We spent quality time on the spacious deck overlooking the 17th hole of Cougar Point and all gathered to watch movies in the family room in the evenings. The location was perfect in terms of access to the local shops and dining. The family was able to bike for ice cream and shopping and there are a number of high quality golf courses on the island. We would definitely consider the same property on our next trip to Kiawah.

Kiawah House Rental
First time staying in a house (usually rent villa). The house was perfect and it was nice to have the extra space. We would rent again. The master bathroom was not cleaned properly between guests, but housekeeping came right out to take care of it!
