This house was perfect for our honeymoon getaway! It is close to all the things we wanted to do and super easy to get to. We had a trailer with a UTV and the driveway is perfectly spacious for turning around and navigating with a trailer.
The only change I would recommend are some guidelines for the hot tub. We don't usually operate one and had some troubles with the jets.
Overall, this was a great stay!!

Left a day early just waiting to hear back as the owners stoped by checking the hot tub!

Loved the property and location
Was great for Sturgis Rally. Garage great for the. Bikes and the hot tub for after
Gravel in drive is loose so care is needed
Only real problem is very loose railing on steep stairs going up

First night it rained and water came gushing in the front windows. AC would barely cool, the air filter was plugged. Only one couch to sit on, so if there are more than 2 people it would be uncomfortable.
If you’re a simple person, you’ll be fine.
On a positive note, the hot tub was great and the property is dog friendly. That’s the only nice thing o can say about the property.

This house has clearly been neglected for years! It was so bad we stayed one night and had to find new accomodations. The amount of built up dirt in every corner, fridge from the 80's, broken light fixtures, ripped couch, and backed up tub drain. We will be attempting to get our money back!

The worst ever. DONT CONSIDER TO STAY in this place. Smell of the house sucks! Dust im every corner od the house is worst even in their not working lampshades. Plates, pans, utensils etc in the kitchen are the dirties. Beds are in horrible smell the fact they dont change beddings. Beds has lots of hairs the fact all bedrooms were not change to a new beddings. Hairs, some small insects crawling in the bed we have photos and videos saved for the proof. Everything is horrible! We called and texted them at 11:30pm she called back but we missed it so my husband call her back again in less than a minute but she never answered anymore maybe because she saw the videos and pictures we sent to her. We called vrbo and we moved to the hotel at 2am after talking back and fourth to the vrbo. The owner just texted us in the morning at almost 10am saying there is a new sheets in the closet. We saw that and smells horrible like an indian chicken curry smell gives you a headache. She never even call us that day or give some concern the fact vrbo told her. Vrbo or airbnb should consider to check them for a standard before having them again on their site!

Months of dust on window sills, hair swept into corners, a stained blankets, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher was all immediate proof that this property is not checked between tenants. The attendant responded after half a day offering to come and fix the specific issues, but was unapologetic about allowing the property to become disgusting. I assume the previous tenants were also charged the “professional cleaning fee” which I feel is not being used for cleaning services.

The house was cute and comfortable. The stairs were steep, but we were told they would be on the listing.

We stayed in the house for the week of the demo derby event and was sweet people nice neighborhood but the house overall needs a good deep cleaning it was not swept or clean i dont think before we got there the baseboards and floors were dirty and no dusting and cobwebs everywhere i texted the host when we got there to help with internet they were very helpful and right there but definitely need to bring attention to the clwaning as i left and texted the cleaners we were leaving and we started the bedding for them but it needed deep cleaned i would visit again after the clean:)

We were traveling with our dogs. Thought the yard was fenced in and did not realize the house was off a busy 4 lane road. We ended up not staying because we were worried if something happened that our dogs got out.

The house was wonderful. It was conveniently located near all the major attractions that brought our family to South Dakota. Also the house was so well stocked with everyday household items. It really made our experience so great!

Dirty and rundown. Too many negatives to mention… I would not recommend staying in this home.

My friend and I had an amazing time visiting the area. The property was a n s great location for attractions but Uber and delivery drivers had a bit of trouble finding it. Not a huge deal. Over all it was a great experience and would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely loved this little house in rapid city. The home was cozy and very clean!! We were able to enjoy the hot tub which was why we originally booked this home. Great location for exploring the area.

This was a nice place to stay. It's close to things that are in the city itself. Caretakers are easy to get ahold of if you need something

Do not stay here!
Air conditioner did not work upstairs. 120 year old home with dust mites and pet dander that will aggravate your allergies! Also, bring your own toilet paper! Property is not what it seems on the photos! Too expensive for a night stay!

The check-in process was very easy. Hot tub is a nice addition. There were eight of us and one bathroom proved a little difficult at times. There are two bedrooms upstairs of which there is no air conditioning so it was very hot in the evenings up there. They do provide fans in the bedrooms but it did little to cool it. We enjoyed mornings on the deck.

Would not rent again
We knew the house was old, but did not expect all of the furniture to be old, worn out and uncomfortable. The house needs a good deep cleaning.
On the plus side there was a beautiful park across the street and the house is close to town.

Ok stay
This property is ok. There are 3 bedrooms, master with king upstairs and a second with a daybed and trundle. 3rd room with full bed pushed against the wall. The entrance does have steps as the ramp in the original photo has been removed. Cleanliness in the bathroom was ok. The base of the shower could use a little more attention and the kitchen was well stocked. The freezer needs cleaning as there was a freeze pop that was broken placed in there and all over the back and bottom. The tv in the living room required a login for Roku and had no remote for the tv. So when volume needed to be adjusted we had to get up off the couch and change by pushing buttons. I texted the caretaker to ask and received no answer. The steps going to upstairs are steep and also dirty. Since I had to crawl up them because the rail is very loose going up the stairs. This would be difficult for elderly people to get olio the steep stairs. Although it’s rated for 8 people only 3 can sit in the living room unless you use dining chairs.

Great Trip to Rapid City
We had a great time at our VRBO. The location was great and the accommodations were also. Comfy and cozy!! The hot tub was wonderful after a day of sightseeing.

Sweet old house
Sweet lil old house with farmhouse charm, very cozy. Very clean, although very lived in. I wasn't afraid to have my kids and dogs in the house and we all felt welcome and comfortable. Hot tub was great after a day of skiing in negative temps.

What was shown was not what you got.
The upstairs bedrooms were too hot to use. The downstairs bedroom sucked. Too small. The available tv programming was useless. The added costs made it exceed a quality motel. Bottom line I'll never book this way again.

Now we’re spoiled!!
My wife and I stayed at this wonderful property for two weeks, and we felt at home. We are now so spoiled, because how can you go back to hotels when you can stay in a fully furnished home with a yard, garage, grill, full kitchen, real furniture, and a comfortable bed? This property is right in the middle of Rapid City, so close to everything you want to do. Again, we are now so spoiled.

Maybe give this a pass.
We were very disappointed with this home. Although old and we knew that before we rented by reading previous reviews. It was not very clean; baseboards looked like they had never been wiped down. Sheets and bedding were old. There was what looked to be mice deposits under the kitchen sink. I needed to use the washing machine to clean dark hiking clothes and it would only wash in super hot water. No cold water at all. Tried to call the contact number and received no response.

Comfortable Stay
This property was an excellent stay for a trip to South Dakota. Although, the home was a much older home, it was good for our two night stay in South Dakota. It has all the basic necessities that you need. The home was clean and had a perfect location. Also, the host and her husband were super friendly. They were easy to reach and took care of our issue in a timely manner.

Quaint and well located
We are very pleased we found this location and booked. The house is located off the main road, but at night it’s quiet. Located near a lake with a nice walking trail, stores and restaurants are not far away. The house is beautiful with central heat & air that worked well since our week was in the upper 90’s. The garage was perfect for our mid-sized SUV, but a large SUV or pickup truck wouldn’t be able to fit. We will definitely book again.

Road trip to SoDak from Chgo
The house was perfect for our trip. Katherine was a gem & very responsive. House is in a great location, short drive to any of the major sites & downtown. House was recently rehabbed & provided all the essentials. But it is an older house. Great trip.

Beautiful Park Nearby
Convenient and safe for a family. Very old house with updates. Overall happy with our stay.
Can't help the condition of the neighbors' property, but suffice it to say there is no view.
Master bed needs some TLC - the frame is too small for the box springs and there are no slats, so one or the other corner of the box springs constantly slides off making that corner 6 inches lower than the others. The iron headboard is pretty, but it is not secure so the slightest jostling makes it bang against the wall. The sheets are so pill-worn they feel like burlap and had to be covered to sleep on.
A bonus was the washer/dryer that the description said was not included. The porch was perfect for enjoying the weather! Nice to find spices, coffee, soap, shampoo, paper towels, etc.
