Great location, out of town on a farm, good views of the forest. Comfortable bed and clean, bathroom was fine. Older style chalet apartment with bedroom upstairs. Well signposted, easy to find.
No or very little TV reception (this is OK but was not explained to us), need to bring DVD or good data package on phone. 1 electric heater which heated the whole room but quite noisy at night. Plastic wineglasses. Information package in the room very ordinary.

The location and views were stunning. Close to Greens pool and elephant rocks
Unfortunately there were a few negatives too.
We had a small chalet for 2.
I now see that the poor quality bedding has been mentioned before and not acted upon. The pillows were old and lumpy and the duvet cover thin and worn.
I also see that the comments about plastic wine glasses at a winery have not been acted upon either repeatedly since 2022. We were in a chalet for 2 adults, not children.
If the owners had made any effort to contact us during our stay I would have mentioned directly instead of posting online

Beautiful and peaceful location. My kids loved visiting the farm animals.
The chalet was clean but dated. Water stains on ceilings in lounge and bathroom, cracked shower screen. For the price we expected a bit more.

Extremely comfortable bed and it was lovely that there were spare blankets to keep us nice and warm in the freezing weather. Hard to find the chalet at night but that was our fault as we arrived in the evening. The host was very helpful when i called, directed us to the chalet. Easy check-in and check-out, host also accommodated us a later checkout which was appreciated.

Oh this place was picture perfect exactly what I was hoping it to be .
I wish I could of stayed longer and I will definitely be coming back.
I didn't like I only had one night there

The location was outstanding, the kids loved interacting with the animals - horses, geese and the donkeys. The views over the green rolling hills were spectacular. The wood fire was very cosy and the cottage was made up very nice, the beds were comfortable and we were warm enough even when it was cold and rainy outside.
Inside, some of the cooking utensils were washed poorly from prior occupants, so we had to wash dishes on arrival. Also the dining table is crooked. There were some crazy possums on the roof at night that woke us up from their activity - literally jolted me out of bed as they were jumping on the tin roof. The noise reverberating was like a lightning strike.

Lovely spot, lots of beautiful animals on the farm.
Could be cleaner and better equipped (e.g. replace plastic wine glasses).

Location (peace and quiet), animals, cute cottage.
Shower not great - very dark and little water. Being ex-farmers we understand rainwater situations but when you stay in a cottage for a holiday it would be good to have better than what we got every shower.

The location was lovely. Very peaceful. Some animals to look at for the kids. Easy access to the cottage using a lock box. Whilst we didn’t meet the host, she was very pleasant to deal with and accommodating.
It was a bit chilly, with only one heater for one of the bedrooms but I managed ok. There is a wood heater which I imagine would be enough heat for the cottage but we didn’t use it as we weren’t there long enough. Beds could be more comfortable.

Good location and lovely views
It is in need of a renovation. Tiny, dark shower, we had to boil the kettle on the gas stove, the wine glasses are made of plastic, some plastic plates still had stickers on them, no Wi-Fi.

Loved the view and the cottage is lovely and cosy
Shower wasn’t great and mattresses in the bunk beds were extremely thin so it felt like we were sleeping on the wood

The location was very good. With the winery just next to the chalets we had a very good wine tasting experience.
The chalets themselves were very clean and worth it.
We had fun playing with the lambs at the farm.

The location is great. The animals are great and it is dog friendly
The advertising on booking.com was false. When this was pointed out the host was exceptionally rude. Did not apologise once and continues to communicate with me in an extremely passive aggressive way telling me I should have booked a hotel. Her messages were bombarding.
The blankets are small and thin. The firewood needs to be chilled by guests- again which is totally fine but also not advertised so god help an elderly couple if they booked this accom. The pillows and bedding are extremely old. The chalet itself is very old. No screen on the shower at all. The accom is very run down. They provide you with one towel each for three days.
One small sized carton of milk. When asked for more again was spoken to like a child that “should have booked at a hotel”. Very unwelcoming. It’s a shame because other reviews said the opposite but if this is how the host deals with guests asking questions or any other conflict then they will not last long as she was very defensive and rise when questioned about anything.
The other things would not have mattered if the host was a little more courteous. Wouldn’t stay here again based on those things.
Bring your own towels and blankets! The house is freezing and no other heating options available except for chopping your own wood for the fire.

The location was absolutely stunning. With animals and the cidery, it topped off my stay. My chalet was lovely and clean too which made it very homely.
When I booked, it didn't mention my chalet was joined to another one. Luckily my neighbours were very quiet and we were both respectful of eachother. Finding my chalet was also confusing.
