About this house rental

Tamihu in Ocean Beach, Denmark, has the best of both worlds - inlet water views, in a tranquil bush setting, perfect for relaxing. Close to both Ocean and Lights Beaches, 10 mins drive to Greens Pool and 5 mins drive to the town centre makes this a great location for holidays.

The house has everything holiday makers will need for a care-free holiday. The large deck areas at both the front and back of the house provide great spaces to enjoy a meal, catch the sun, snooze or just take in the views and relax . The nightly fee includes all linen, cleaning on departure, WIFI and Netflix.

The property is not available for wedding groups, is strictly non smoking and we don't allow pets.

Tamihu has 3 bedrooms, 2 with comfortable queen sized beds and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, all with views to the Wilson Inlet. Each bed has an electric blanket for use in winter.

All linen is supplied, including sheets, doonas, blankets, pillows and bath towels. There is ample hanging space in the built in wardrobes in each of the larger bedrooms, and a smaller wardrobe/hanging space in the third.

There is one large bathroom with a shower and bath, and a separate toilet off the laundry with its own hand basin. There is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water and views to the trees, ideal for washing off sand and salt from the beach.

There is a reverse cycle air conditioner in the main living area, particularly for heating in the cooler months as there is no wood fire available, and all bedrooms have ceiling fans for the warmer months.

The dining area seats 6 people with inlet views. The lounge has two comfortable 3 seater leather lounges. There is a large screen TV with free to air TV signal (this provides ABC, SBS, WIN, GWN etc) and Netflix. The bookcase has a range of books, and there are board games and a large selection of DVDs

The kitchen has an electric under-bench oven, a gas hotplate with 5 burners and a rangehood. There is a dishwasher, microwave and water filter tap. There are lots of appliances including a 4 slice toaster, kettle, coffee machine and milk frother (pods can be purchased from IGA in Denmark), slow cooker, sandwich maker, blender/food processor, a rice cooker, and more.

There is a large fridge and some pantry staples in the cupboards, along with pots, pans and a wide assortment of glasses, crockery and cutlery.

Outdoors on the front deck is a comfortable outdoor lounge and a wine barrel table and stools, the perfect spot for a quiet drink while enjoying the inlet views. The back deck, with views to the garden and surrounding trees, also has comfortable deck chairs, an outdoor dining table with 6 chairs, and a multi-burner gas BBQ with flat plate and grill.

We went to Denmark to recharge our batteries, but we got so much more - we could feed our souls. Tamihu is such a welcoming home with superb views and located amongtst tall trees. The bird song and sunrise early morning are imprinted in my memory. We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you

The property itself is absolutely stunning, one of the times the pictures don’t do it justice - but what I really appreciated was how absolutely thoughtfully everything was maintained. It’s often frustrating travelling and realising you left some small item behind - every single thing was thought of and left for guests with care. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, and a huge thanks!

Our stay at Angie's house was so amazing. The house was well equipped in every way (kitchen in particular, bathroom, etc) Beautiful varandah with views, comfortable beds - dont hesitate to book Fantastic communication as well. Amazing selection of board games. Super small thing.- the house doesnt have a smart tv so we couldn't get AFL games or stream shows/movies. BYO hdmi cord for a laptop or a chrome cast. Heaps of DVDs for movies though.

What an amazing stay we had for 8 nights in Tamihu. We go to Denmark at least twice a year and have tried many accommodations. Tamihu is hands down the best. Beautiful home and views of the inlet. House is so well appointed with everything you could ever need and more. We kept the many bird baths topped up. Just watching the range of bees and birds was a joy! Communication with Angie was great and the opportunity for an early check-in was very much appreciated. We would love to return. Thanks Angie for our wonderful stay in your lovely piece of paradise!

The photos don't do the property justice, it was bigger than I expected, with great open living areas, a huge front deck, and gardens full of flowers and birds. Everything you could want was available in the house including board games for family games nights. Angie was a fantastic host and would recommend this house for your family getaways.

This is one of the best Stayz we have been in. The house is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful glimpse of the sea.. The house was the best stocked rental we had ever stayed in and will leave most feeling like you were back home.. from rice cooker to more pot and pans you would ever need. The tea selection made me laugh as ai love herbal tea, the selection was amazing.. The house itself is spacious and extremely clean with beautiful outdoor garden and cool verandah for a relaxing rad or just watching the day go past.. I doubt I will make it back to this world anytime soon, but if I do this is the only place I want to stay.

A beautiful quiet spot to relax and unwind with amazing views from many of the rooms and especially the large deck area. Modern furnishings, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could need. The bathtub with garden views was well appreciated! A very comfortable house (though I will say the beds are definitely on the firm side!) - everyone in our party of four loved it

We found the house to be very inviting, clean, comfortable, well appointed and with many little thoughtful extras in the kitchen and living area. Lots of books, games and informative brochures to help when making plans to explore the area. After a day out it was fantastic to come back to the house and relax on one of the spacious decks. We particularly enjoyed watching the varied bird life in the back yard area. Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful house.

We had such a wonderful holiday in this fabulous holiday house. It had everything you need, plus more, for a great getaway. We loved all the board games! We just spent a wonderful week in this gorgeous property and will definitely return. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated and appointed. So light and bright with a view and/or vista from every window and room. The view of the inlet from the comfy balcony was a bonus. The gardens and grounds were stunning and proved a perfect safe playground for our two energetic granddaughters. There is a walking trail at the back of the property. Angie and Larn generously supplied the kitchen with provisions and quality spotless crockery cutlery and cooking utensils. The leather couches were large and comfortable and the bedrooms complete with electric blankets were cosy and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was again spotless and generously supplied with quality large fluffy white towels and toiletries. Lots of thoughtful touches and extras throughout. We found the location a bonus. Very quiet and peaceful.

Truely a special spot. Wonderful hosts. Nice and clean. The home has plenty of space and different areas to relax and spread out. The beautiful backyard was perfect for our little one to safely explore - and the views from the front are perfection. We can't wait for our next visit :)

We spent a cold, wet and windy weekend at Tamihu. It's nestled amongst the trees on a hill with a great view of Wilson Inlet. It's very comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone.

Everything was perfect during our 4 night stay! The photos don't do this property justice! The house is clean and has everything you could need and more. The views are stunning from the balcony, make sure you get up early enough to watch the sunrise, you won't regret it! The kitchen is well equipped for those that like a home cooked meal. Birds everywhere in the back yard. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back again! Thank you for the most relaxing stay 😊
