Perfect self-catering cottage in a stunning location

Lovely, cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated accommodation with stunning views of the hills and countryside. The location was very quiet and extremely dog friendly. Our dog loved having a run about in the paddock, and the huts are a great idea for chilling out after a full day's walking. Ideally situated for visiting attractions in North Wales. The cottage was well equipped for self-catering. The Welsh cakes and fresh milk were really appreciated on our arrival. The friendly hosts have definitely gone the extra mile to ensure everything is provided while you are there and are close by if you have any questions or concerns during your stay.

There is nothing to dislike about this accommodation. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

Excellent location and views with amazing hosts

We loved the location and what herons view had to offer eg. The log burner inside and out, the spacious bath, kitchen facilities and the Tv upstairs and downstairs

Enjoyable

Excellent location and a lovely restful place to stay. Friendly owners on hand if you need them. Comfortable and clean..Dog friendly accomodation which is what I needed for my break away. Would I stay there again? Yes I would, I'd be more than happy to go back.

Nothing major as you don't go away to watch television but the lounge TV had limited channels and the one in the bedroom had nothing. I struggled to scan for them and when I managed to find out how it found nothing. I really don't know why it was there? A really minor thing to mention but that was the only thing I didn't like.

Exceptional

We arrived very late so we didn't have the chance to meet owners. We were attending a family wedding at Ruthin Castle so location was perfect for us. The accommodation was immaculate, beautiful toiletries and very well equipped. Would highly recommend.

Superb

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of Heron's View. The kitchen was well appointed with basics such as tea and coffee plus dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid all provided - perfect for a short break. The local milk and Welsh cakes were an added bonus and much appreciated.

1st class comfort

felt like a 2nd home after 1 hour , beautiful setting, the host came out to welcome me and a run down of the property. Wi-Fi allowed me to work and enjoy the setting at night time also.

Very nice place and peaceful location

Upstair Television did not work correctly and needed to be programed which was complicated.

Perfect setting for a quiet recharge...

Self catering so we made our own breakfasts. Location was beautiful - rural yet within a mile of Ruthin so walkable. Cosy cottage with modern bathroom and kitchen. VERY comfortable bed (Goldilocks - not too soft not too firm, so just right! Excellent, good sized Smart tv's in lounge and bedroom.

Perfect for a long weekend escape!

The views and location was excellent. Loved the little huts at the top of the garden which were available to use along with chiminea and blankets, which made for a cosy evening under the stars. enough wood was provided for one burn inside the properties log burner and one outside at the huts for the chiminea, just perfect. Thanks Steve and Ffi.

Wales you didnt disappoint !!!

It was the ideal place to have as a base for the 3 days we were there . In close proximity to the town and lovely surroundings. The cottage was lovely and clean, met the owners and they were lovely and helpful, checking we had everything we needed. They even organised great weather for us .

We loved our stay at Heron’s View and would like to return in the future, it really was a relaxing break.

Very cosy and immaculately clean with everything you need to hand for a comfortable break. The field at the back was great for allowing our retriever to run loose. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful scenery and Ruthin is only a short 15 minutes walk away.

There’s nothing to not like!

Heating not sufficient for property in Winter other than continual use of wood burner.

It was in a great location, fabulous views and only a short drive to local amenities and local beauty spots!

The bed was comfortable (as long as you lay still) but it wasn’t very sturdy! Every time one of us turned over it literally skidded across the floor!
