About this house rental
This beautifully renovated, 1800s era, 4 bedroom home features all the comforts of home, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, small fenced backyard, and lots of living space.
The first floor has an open concept, with the foyer/living room, dining room and kitchen all flowing together. There is also a half bath and the laundry facilities on the first floor.
The second floor consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 of which each have a queen bed and the third has 2 twin beds. Also on the second floor is a full bath.
The third floor is a large loft space with a full bed, a dresser for storage, and an air mattress and blankets for additional sleeping room for larger groups/families.
PLEASE NOTE: the third floor is only accessible through the master bedroom.
We do not have off street parking here, however, there is free street parking and the N. Queen Street parking garage is several hundred feet away so that's a great option if finding a spot on the street is a problem.
Our place is close to Central Market, Fulton Theater, Lancaster General Hospital, Prince Street Cafe, and so much more. You’ll love our place because of the convenience of the location, close to all that Lancaster City has to offer. Our place is good for couples, business travelers, and families

The pictures need to updated for this property. It was very uncomfortable & inconvenient for a family of five. We ended up not staying & going to a hotel. The air conditioning was not working in the one room & the other rooms hardly got cooled down. The parking was the worst! Needs a major paint job. We did not feel safe staying there with our children. Very sketchy.

In town for a wedding and this was the perfect spot to stay! Thanks for having us!!

The home was clean, cozy and comfortable exactly what we needed for our stay. We would stay here again! Finding parking wasn’t too bad at all.

I definitely think I was expecting more. It wasn’t very clean. There were not good. Instructions and communication was less than efficient. We had to go the first two nights without air-conditioning in the back bedroom, which was miserable in the summer heat. It wasn’t horrible, but it was not wonderful.

We were happy overall. The house was clean, so that’s what’s most important.

Clean and comfortable! Hosts responded to messages immediately. My only suggestion that I make at most rentals is please use a free/clear laundry detergent on your sheets and towels. I have allergies so I woke up with some hives. Otherwise a great stay!

I can’t find the code to open the house

Brian was super easy to communicate with and very responsive, but that’s the only positives. The house needs lots of maintenance. There was paint peeling off the walls and light switches in the bathroom, and peeling off the banister stairs. The floors upstairs and stairs felt squishy when you walked on them. The house overall needs some maintenance done to it.

We really enjoyed our stay! Definitely be prepared for an older home. Hallways and bathroom upstairs are tight, and the stairs will wake up the non-early risers when the early risers get up! The home is CLEAN and the kitchen had everything we needed. Wonderful to be able to do laundry so we didn’t have to pack as much too. Plan on parking in the North Queen Street lot, which is safe and close! On street parking never happened for us, and we felt good about it after hearing how fast some of the cars drive on the street. Great shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Thanks for the stay!

This home was clean and beds were comfortable. It was perfect for an overnight respite.

It was a great way to be able to hang with friends together in an environment as opposed to separate hotel rooms. Property had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. We also appreciated the simplicity of the checkout process where we weren’t required to spend our vacation time closing out the property very walkable area to fun options. Ps. Rachel’s creperie was a great breakfast locale

Spacious bedrooms, clean kitchen areas, nice fenced in yard. Urban area, close to neighbors. Lots of restaurants to choose from, but be aware of early closing times. Shops closed at 3 on Saturday and many not open on Sunday. Went for an event at bible college. It was very close.

Brian quickly responded to my question and was flexible with accommodations. House was clean and bedrooms were very spacious. Parking was okay, got lucky with a spot. Close to the convention center and that’s what we wanted.

Just as described!

Downstairs lovely. Bathroom upstairs needs adjustment. Kept running water we had to lift lid to fix so water wouldn't run. Upstair attic bedroom somewhat misleading and hard for seniors. Getting into property extremely hard. Key system stuck. 1 hour after many phone calls a neighbor helped us She said it was stuck. Thank goodness it wasn't dark or rainy

Communication with property managers was excellent. They responded very quickly. The house was very clean. I stayed at the home with 9 adults and was spacious enough for all of us. Parking was limited but we managed to find parking to accommodate 4 suvs. Quiet neighborhood. Only regret was not booking a day before the wedding we were attending. It would have been nice to have more time to spend in the home with my family. Highly recommend staying at this home.

House was clean and safe

House and rooms are much smaller than the pictures appear. It is an older home so we understand that part but air conditioning seemed to struggle. We had to leave for a family issue so we did not stay the night. Host was very quick to respond and very nice.

It is a nice place to stay. Clean, central and good accomodation. Parking was in a nearby carpark for 15 dollars a day, which was fine. Overall a pleasant experience. The children also loved the house.

The property suited our needs for 5 adults - was spacious, had everything that we needed, the mattresses were good for sleeping, and good A/C. It is in an OK neighborhood, but if you are not used to city life, parking was a bit frustrating and disconcerting (especially at night). We utilized a public parking ramp about a block away for one evening (out of 4) for the 3 vehicles that we had. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay and the hosts provided everything as described.

Would recommend. House was very clean and air conditioner worked well overall (twin bed room was a bit warm). Easy access to downtown - .6 miles from the Marriott where we needed to go. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Lancaster!

The manager was responsive and the apartment is large and roomy. The cleanliness was par and the location is not somewhere I would stay again. Did not feel safe.

We wanted to see shows at Dutch Apple Theater and Sight and Sound Theater but needed someplace close to each to stay. I found this gem of a home located between both. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed for the few days we were there. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space. There were lots of places to eat and a CVS one block away for any toiletries we needed. Surprisingly the neighborhood was pretty quiet considering it was located in downtown Lancaster. We had no problem retrieving the key. We did have trouble connecting to the internet until we figured out that we were putting in the password incorrectly. Everything was great and we had no problems with anything during our stay. We hope to be able to stay here again when we come back for our next trip to the Lancaster area.

My party consisted of 3 ELDERLY people, my daughter and my granddaughter. The bedrooms were all on the second floor and in the attic. The stairs were very narrow, and did not have banisters on both sides. Only one bathroom. The room with two beds consisted of twin beds sitting very close to the floor. If my father “had been able” to get into the bed, he would never have been able to get out. My other friend walked with a walker…she was not able to get up the steps. We ended up moving to a hotel in a better part of town. Parking was “what you could find on the street.”

Property is great, location is great. The only complaint we had was there was alot of Marijuana smokers in area so we had to keep windows closed. Dear Owner, it would be nice to add a few basic items.
1. All bedrooms should have a mirror.
2. There was only 1 clock in house in the dinning room and it did not work. A clock in living room would be nice and alarm clocks in bedroom.
3. If house sleeps would be nice to have 8 chairs for dinning room so we could all eat together.
We will be renting again!!!

A lovely accommodations with plenty of room. The stairs were just a little treacherous. Nice walkable town.

Very comfortable. Parking wasn’t an issue at all, beds were comfortable, could have some powdered creamer for coffee, had to have help from contractor working outside nearby to get the door unlocked. Little tricky.

Was a nice place to stay. Hostess was very kind. Pretty well stocked kitchen. We stayed one night so never used anything in the kitchen. Had enough rooms and beds for 9 ppl/ 2 families. Had a pleasant night stay.

Nice.
Nice townhouse, on street parking is the only downside of staying here, which we knew about before booking.

Short Getaway
We stayed 6/20-6/22 to celebrate father's day, a birthday and our son graduating Kindergarten. It was located in a neighborhood near many things, either by a small walk or a short drive. The furthest we drove our car was to The Hands On Museum and to Longs Park which were both 20 min or less. The home was clean upon our arrival and had everything we needed (dishsoap, toilet paper, towels, linens). It just had a distinct older home smell, but we got used to it. The home was pretty equal parts old charm and modern amenities - just be aware that the stairs are very creaky and noisy (again old home and expected). My son and I thought the beds were fine, but my husband found them to be too firm for his liking so that's something to keep in mind. I loved that we were able to bring our dog - we really only try to stay in homes where we can bring him - and it was well priced too. My biggest complaint is that the outside of the home (sidewalk/walkway) had a lot of trash. This is not the homeowners' fault but it definitely takes away from the curb appeal (to be fair, I am a country girl, so the 'city' life is not really my thing). I also think the flower box on the outside of the home should be repaired, mostly for safety reasons because nails were exposed, but also for curb appeal. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we will likely stay here again if we return to Lancaster. Thank you for opening up your home to folks.
