Taniaburg guest room 2.
Leeuwarden has a historic city center with canals and mounds (artificial hills) dating from the Middle Ages. Old shop fronts and beautifully restored monuments adorn the city. Examples of this are the Oldehove, a large slanting tower and the Waag, an old weighing station in the middle of the city. A walk through the city center is more than a trip around old buildings. The city has remarkable canals and narrow streets, cozy shops and interesting museums. If you look at a map of 1603 you can still recognize almost every street, square, canal and building. In the 20th century, several canals were filled in and turned into streets. Fortunately, the character of the streets around these old canals has been preserved. A day strolling through the streets of the capital of the province of Friesland has many highlights. Get to know the past and the present.
Welcome to a typical Frisian farm Taniaburg! Taniaburg has 2 separate rooms that provide comfortable and good accommodation, ideal for those looking for facilities in a homely environment. These 2 rooms are located in the former barn of the historic and completely renovated farmhouse. The rooms are very spacious and bright. They consist of a seating area with a TV, a sleeping area and a private bathroom with toilet and shower. Breakfast is NOT served, but the room does have a kettle, coffee maker, small fridge and 2 plates with cutlery. You can also use the Wi-Fi internet connection in the rooms. As mentioned, Taniaburg offers you a great alternative to normal hotel accommodation. It is only 20 minutes on foot to the old center of Leeuwarden and 10 minutes by bike. 5 minutes walk use the bus to go into town or take the car. We offer free parking at Taniaburg.
