Summer Nore: If you’re considering renting our place in the heat of summer, please read the following before you book: Tres House (an 1860 historic house) gets a lot of sun in the city and it has a third floor. Third floors can get toasty! We suggest keeping the blinds closed during the day, using the ceiling fans and standing fan, ensuring the vents are open, and take advantage of the supplemental A/C unit on the thirdfloor. If you prefer a house that is super cold like a hotel during the hottest days of July / August …. This house may not be for you. Read all of our reviews over 6 years and you will see that guests find our place extremely comfortable and we will be booked solid during the summer. However, I mentioned this in case guests are very sensitive to summer heat.
Important- No extra guests. Plans change ... so let us know if yours do. Please note our capacity of 6 and make sure your reservation matches the number of guests in our Rental. (This includes visitors even if they don’t spend the night.) If you need to add a guest at the last minute, please reach out to us right away. It is only $10 extra per guest beyond the first two registered. Failure to communicate with hosts about the correct number of guests will result in ALL guests being asked to leave.
Upon booking please tell us …. What brings you to Covington? Why do you wish to rent our place? Who will be joining you? How many guests? Do you have pets and if so, how many/what kind? How many cars do you need to park?

Great property. It was very clean, easy to access, and close to the city. Our host was incredibly communicative, kind, and helpful. We’d recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in this lovely three story home. It was clean and close to Paycor Stadium. We actually walked from the stadium which wasn't a bad walk. We will stay again...thanks Vicky and Doug!

Excellent place to stay. Close to downtown Cincinnati and great American ballpark. Communication with the property manager was great too. They even worked with us with an early checkin.

We enjoyed our stay. Vicky was very quick to answer when I texted her (thanks). Place was very clean and many things to do for kids and adults!
Loved the soldiers! 🇺🇸

Clean and comfortable, fun and interesting, three-story house. This home is one of very few who are pet friendly and do not limit guests to their dogs size. Very thankful for that. House was accommodating and very neat. The property owner was quick to respond, and kept us informed on things we needed to know during our stay (thank you Vicky). I would recommend this home to family and friends, and would certainly stay again. We enjoyed our visit to Cincinnati, and enjoyed this home a bunch.

We had a busy weekend in Cinic and really needed somewhere to rest. Well this place was that and WAY more. My teens want to rent it again to be able to spend more time there!
It had comfortable beds, it was walking distance to a lot of cool stuff, it had a lot of things to do inside. Not to mention it was a cool turn of the century home that has been renovated so it was a lot of charm. We also loved the quirky decorations! Definitely will rent again!

The house was an historic brownstone with some beautiful original features. We had trouble with the door locking mechanism not working but Vicki was quick to respond to my message and they came to fix it within a few hours.
The neighborhood was a little sketchy as it was adjacent to a gas station and had a bus stop across the street, but it was close to a variety of attractions .

The kids loved the home. Clean, great amenities and easy access to tons of activities.

We stayed here for a short girls trip and visit to Cincinnati. The house is very well cared for and furnished really well. You can tell they care a lot about the home and want to make peoples stays enjoyable. There are 3 floors, and the stairs are older, so if you have mobility issues its not for you. If you need some extra steps, then its your jam! The beds were very comfortable. The house is right next to a gas station, and it adds a little extra light and noise. They have provided ear plugs. Its a great location, we walked into downtown Covington and its a short drive to Cincinnati. In Covington there is a beautiful old cathedral that we never expected, so that was a fun find.

2024 Road trip to Cindy, Indy, and St. Louis. Enjoyed our stay in Cindy. Easy check in/out process. House convenient for us to walk across river to many sites. Parking is tight, but very nice to have. Washer/dryer very convenient. Delightful visit in the home. Perfect for us.

Great house and perfect location for going to any ball game in downtown Cincy

Awesome rental 5 mins away from megacorp pavilion where we went to a concert! Everything was very clean and check in/out were both very easy!

Wonderful view and amenities! Such a cool spot with added quests for an extremely unique touch to property sharing!

Great place tons to do without even leaving. Had games and other fun thing to explore. Host was awesome even though we slept in a little past check out.

We had a great stay at Tres house in Covington! We chose the location based on its proximity to the conference center and it was perfect being only about 2 blocks from the center.
The house was well equipped and very well appointed. It was convenient to popular areas in town and easy access to Cincinattu as well. The house itself had a lot of character, with lots of interesting and artistic surprises throughout. Beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed it and plan on being back.
The only things that I would note is that there is a lot of activity around. Liquor stores and a Circle K right next door so things can get a bit lively at times, but you are in a city and should expect that as part of the experience. Additionally, it is a three story house with steep stairs. The kitchen is on the first floor, bedrooms on 3rd with a great community room on 2nd. This was completely fine for us, but could be an issue if you had mobility issues.
All said, we loved the place. It had a lot of character and was very comfortable. Hosts were great to deal with and check-in and check out was an easy process. We felt right at home staying there and appreciate the opportunity to do so!

Good location and listing was as described. Parking is tight, especially trying to back out. We always appreciate being able to bring our dogs!

Great stay in Covington! Near plenty of great spots. Helpful host. Perfect for 4 adults + 1 teen.

The Tres house was a very cool property! Plenty of room for the five of us, and close to everything we were looking to do. Vicky provided some excellent food recommendations and was nothing but kind.
4.9
It was our second time staying here and we absolutely loved it! Great location to walk across the bridge to Cincy and also close to the airport. The house is so full of character and very clean! We will be back!

Our family of 6 had the most amazing stay at the Tres House. Prior to our arrival working with the hosts was incredible, I had originally booked the home for 5 plus a pet. A week before our trip we decided to board our dog and add an extra kid. Vicki was accommodating and made the change quickly. The instructions for check in were incredibly detailed and left no questions unanswered. Once we arrived, we entered easily and were met with all the accommodations of home. First impressions as we walked in and through the house was it was very clean and well maintained, it was organized and had the cutest touches of decor that caught our eye in every room. As we got to the second floor we were met with music, they had left music playing, warm lighting on all floors and the temperature was perfect. It was incredibly cozy. We were visiting the home during Thanksgiving, grocery shopping was close and easily accessible. The home itself had nearly every cooking utensil we needed, plus a beautiful dining area for family meals. While in the area we visited the Cincinnati Zoo, Newport aquarium and a Cincinnati Bengals game. The home is perfectly located for all these activities, parking was off the street and there was absolutely no concerns with the neighborhood. The Bengals game was an easy 30 min walk which saved a lot of frustrations for parking. I would highly recommend this home and these hosts. Our family had the best time here and would come back in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was spacious, clean, and had a lot of personality. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and warm. Check in/out was easy and the hosts were communicative and helpful. There were lots of restaurants and markets within walking distance. The only potential issue (for some people) I can think to add is that the road in front of the house rattles so when cars drive by, especially large trucks, the walls of the house vibrate. But still, it wasn't particularly loud so it didn't really disrupt our sleep much. It wasn't really an issue for us but might be something to keep in mind if you're a very light sleeper (there were earplugs provided though!). Aside from that, everything was terrific and we would definitely stay here again!
4.9
My husband, adult daughter and I really enjoyed staying in this house! I was a little nervous about it being right next door to a gas station, but the fence and trees made it so the gas station wasn't even a factor. The house was exactly as pictured with charming decor, comfortable furnishings and beds, and lots of thoughtful extra touches like coffee pods, spices, snacks and games. It was nice to have the free parking spaces in the alley behind the house, and we were able to walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown Cincinnati to enjoy the Oktoberfest. We would definitely stay again!
4.9
Overall stay was great. The house is in need of a little repair upgrades but the decorating was cute and creative. Hard for people to stay at this house if you have knee problems or can’t walk flights of stairs as bathrooms, living space and bedrooms were all up flights of stairs. Some lose boards need repaired on staircases. Had issues with entrance door opening a a couple of times. And parking is not good if you have more than one vehicle. The space in between two spaces is very very difficult to pull in and out of.
House was very well stocked and supplied with necessities and fairly close to great restaurants.
Overall great place and would probably stay there again.
4.9
Was there for a reds game, worked out really well, was nice to walk in and not see anyone and if their were any problems/questions Vicky was very attentive, got right back to me! The Tres couldn’t have went any better!
4.9
Our stay at the Tres House was very fun. We had our two little doxies with us and they enjoyed the fenced yard, too. Every little amenity was provided. Tres House is within easy walking distance to Mainstrasse area. We met Vicki and her mom and enjoyed a little visit and tour of the adjoining property in case we return with more of our family in the future. We loved it!
4.9
The house was absolutely adorable and so well decorated. The host provided everything needed to be comfortable.
The area is very close to downtown and so may not be right for all families.
4.9
We walked to dinner and ice cream and it was lovely. We saw fireworks at the ballpark from the third floor. We really loved this location and the charm of the house. Things we suggest to improve: the smoke detector light flashes in the bedroom every 2 minutes and the lights from the gas station next door are rather bright. Consider adding some curtains. In the summer, the portable AC needs a long lead time to cool the third floor, good information for guests. These few creature comforts were the only detractors. We loved our stay and the personalized touches throughout the house.
4.9
Very cozy and clean.
Will return if available anytime we are in this area again,

The house is in a great location. Very easy to get on and off the expressway. Absolutely love the way it was decorated. The hosts communicated very well. Usually have answers in minutes. The house was very clean very organized overall a 10 out of 10.
4.9
Absolutely loved this place and every single detail. It was clean and everything was just so thoughtful. I loved the uniqueness and home like feel, wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thanks for letting us enjoy this treasure. Would love to come back again!
4.9
The Tres home had everything. Most importantly, a big kitchen table for playing cards and doing a puzzle! The House Binder had so much great information, and we were able to enjoy Agave and Rye for dinner, a nearby Gelato shop lave for desert, and Roebling Point Books and Coffee the next morning with a nice walk through the historic district. The home itself was full of character and fun! You can tell the hosts care. Thank you for having us!
4.9
We had an amazing time. The house is gorgeous and so much fun. Hosts made check in easy and were super communicative. Would recommend to anyone seeing an event at Paycor stadium.
4.9
Unique property!
Only recommendations would be regarding cleanliness and bolt/lock safety; cobwebs over the front door, loose banister, uneven wood floors that may be an issue for children or those without shoes, second floor bathroom vent did not work, and side door entrance bolt only slightly inserted into the door frame. I would recommend a deep clean and repair of the door frame and assurance of the locking mechanism working as it should considering the area may not be the norm for out of town-ers.
4.9
This place is amazing. The decor had us in awe the entire stay. Truly an adventure in itself. Great location for enjoying area attractions. Vicky was extremely easy to communicate with throughout. Every amenity from home you’d want plus more.
4th street is a very busy street so be aware if you’re one to want to fall asleep before midnight luckily we’re night owls. We loved Tres House!
4.9
The house is beautiful and the owners have thought of everything. There were snacks in the living room and drinks in the fridge. Parking was easy and safe. Entrance was easy. The side yard is large and comfortable. The house is on a rather busy street so at night it was quite bright, even through the blinds. Both bedrooms are on the third floor, so lots of stairs.
4.9
This property is just a few blocks from the river and dozens of local restaurants. The owners Vicky was extremely helpful and very communicative. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Cincinnati.
4.9
We love this place so much! We’ve stayed here multiple times when in the Cincy area. It feels like our home away from home now. Vicki is great and accommodating, and the house has new special touches every time we come back. It’s obvious they take good care of their properties and they want the best for their guests. Cannot recommend them enough!!
4.9
Very accommodating and quick to communicate. Wonderful place to stay!
4.9
We really enjoyed this place, had everything we need a lots of little extras. This is a three level home and can be difficult for more mature folks. Great location and nice views.
Vicky was wonderful- great communication along the way!
4.9
Easy to stay and work with Vicky and Douglas. Great home, many thoughtful touches. Easy check in and check out process.
