About this house rental
Summary:
Welcome to Captains Quarters! Experience all the historic charm of the late 1800s, combined with modern comfort and conveniences. The ambiance and decor of this masterpiece depict the rich heritage of Kentucky; including horses, steamboats, and the bourbon trail. There is a bar in the living room to prepare your drinks, and a game room in the basement. Walkable to many restaurants and bars on Mainstrasse, only 4 blocks away. A short 1.4 mile walk across the Roebling Bridge to downtown Cincinnati
The Space:
This historical home was built in 1891 and is filled with beautiful woodwork, crown molding, plaster medallions, exposed brick in the kitchen, and original hardwood flooring. The backyard has an 8-foot picnic table, night lighting, and space for chill outdoor games. Upstairs there are two king bedrooms and a third bedroom in the back with two twin XLs. Have fun adventuring up and down the "hidden" staircase, connecting the third bedroom to the dining room. In the basement you will find a commercial air hockey table and a classic arcade machine with over 400 games! At the end of the street is a railroad track, small park, basketball court, and children's playground.
Note: If you are a light sleeper, the railroad is at the end of the street and there can occasionally be some train noise.
Guest Access:
Entry is by smart lock door code. Guests have access to the entire home. Access is limited to registered guests only—any visitors must be approved by the host and may not stay overnight.
We require all guests to sign our rental agreement and provide photo ID via the digital form before check-in instructions will be sent. Check-in info is sent 5 days prior to check-in, assuming completion of the rental agreement.
The Neighborhood:
Located in "Old Seminary Square", a historical district in the heart of Covington. Right up the street from the railroad, so you can sit on the front porch and watch the trains go by!
Other Things to Note:
We require all guests to sign our rental agreement and provide photo ID via the digital form before check-in instructions will be sent. Check-in info is sent 5 days prior to check-in, assuming completion of the rental agreement.
As always, we recommend guests exercise common sense and safety while walking between destinations throughout the city.

Very nice house. Amenities excellent. Very clean. EZ check in and check out. Convenient location to Covington, Newport, and Cincinnati. Street parking was available right in front of the house. Questions answered quickly by Jeremiah. Would highly recommend for your next stay

Great except that we rented this property for the air hockey table and video game room and we’re unable to use it. The air hockey table had no pucs and the controls did not work on the game. The Grandboys we’re disappointed. Everything else was great.

We had the best stay! sweet home, perfect for a family with older kids. Driving distance from Cincinnati, Newport, and so much fun! Got to respite in the evenings. Loved it!!

My family had an amazing time. The property is beautiful inside; plenty of space for my wife, two kids, and mom and dad. It was a perfect location from the Ark and Creation Museum. Enjoyed our vacation, plenty of space to relax and hang out, and a nice park nearby for the kids to play. Thank you for a fantastic, Father’s Day weekend!

This house was perfect for our weekend with friends. Everything was well appointed!! The beds were so comfortable with the finest linens. We loved the games in the basement. The house has so much character! Bonus was contacting sstikitours.com and touring the area on the Ohio River. Captain Kevin was the best, most knowlegeable tour guide. So many great restaurants and music venues centrally located to the house. One of the best rentals we have every stayed at - can't go wrong booking here.

This house was great, it was super clean, the kitchen was great, and the furniture was very nice. We were able to walk to the convention center in 15 min, with no need for an UBER.
The sheets on the bed are quite nice, hotel quality, we really enjoyed our stay. Also, the host is very prompt in replying to any messages. There are several restaurants walking distance.

Very comfortable beds and couches. Plenty of kitchen utensils and bathroom towels. Easy to walk to restaurants and over to Cincinnati.
Would be helpful to have known that there was road parking, though the upside, never a problem to find a spot right in front of house.
Would be helpful to know that both set of stairs are very steep.

Very clean and lots of room. Comfy bed/pillows. Plenty of clean towels/linens. Kitchen has most amenities but we brought our own Keurig. Great location. Close to the stadium and also shops and restaurants. Minor notes: All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, upstairs can get really warm, couch not the softest.
