About this house rental
Step off the back porch and onto your PRIVATE dock!!! Watch the egrets soar, hear the rustle of wind in the marsh, and smell the salt air!
This adorable cottage by the sea has been here more than 100 years, and is just as adorable today as it was when it was built. It's got a wonderful open layout, with a nice deck and back yard that leads to your private dock! The side porch is a great place to sit and relax in the shade
Inside you will find a huge kitchen, with tons of working space, a cozy living room and 50” tv.
There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen bed, and a twin bed. There’s a full bath, washer and dryer on this level.
Upstairs you will find two light filled bedrooms and a full bath between them.
The bedroom overlooking the water has a king sized bed, and the one overlooking the street has a queen.
High end towels and linens, comfortable beds, black out curtains - we want you to love your stay here.
Large back deck with a gas grill, private dock that you can moor your boat!
Well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer. This is a cute home, built in 1910. It's survived most of the hurricanes and is packed with history. It's steps from downtown Swansboro, and you can walk to almost everything. The home has been in my family more than 50 years, and it's got a great feel.
BEACH ACCESS: The closest beach with "waves" is Emerald Isle. Its about a 20 minute drive. You can take a private charter to "bear island" aka Hammocks Beach State Park on the Lady Swan for a minimal fee. There is also the NC State Ferry that you can take to Hammocks Beach State Park, google for all the info.
BOAT RAMP: The boat ramp (NC Wildlife ramp) is about a mile from the house, very convenient for launching and retrieving the boat or jet ski!
BOATERS: Dock info. The dock is private. It has about 2 feet of water at low tide and 6 feet at high tide. It's easy to access from the ICW. You need to make certain the tower/console will fit under the White Oak River Bridge. It has about 6 feet of clearance from waterline to bridge at high tide. Most boats under 26' don't have any problems.

It was so peaceful on the dock. I just chilled for several days and walked across the highway to eat. My grandson packed up my bathroom things for me and accidentally put your blow dryer in my bag, sorry. I need an address to mail it back. Such a lovely old home!

House was clean and well stocked. Views of White Oak River were incredible. Walking distance to all the restaurants in Swansboro. The shared driveway with Il Cigno Italiano was a little annoying at dinner time, but that was minor. Evan was super responsive and helpful and on top of things when the power went out due to a tropical storm. Would definitely stay here again.

The cottage was perfect for us to spend time with our grandson. We fished on the dock and at the point. Everything at the cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

The house is in very good shape and we were provided with all of the necessities, including trash bags, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet, paper, etc. The owners took great care in making sure the house was perfect for a group of four adults. The house would be also very good for a family. We would definitely stay there again.

We had such a wonderful weekend here! The house is conveniently located, clean and comfortables with a great dock and back yard! My Mother-in-law said she had the best sleep she’d had in years! We’re already checking our calendars to see when we can come back😊

Wonderful place to stay for a couple of days when to visiting my son whoo is a marine stationed at New River. Came to spend the Easter holiday. This home is situated off a busy road butlt you don't hear the traffic and it's like you're in your own little Oasis. Beautiful water views, wonderful sunrises ,clean comfortable beds, and close to so many restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Looking forward to staying again. We used the kyak and the house had plenty of beach chairs for a relaxing day at the beach. Highly recommend!

Had a great time at Evans historic home. Close to downtown Swansboro and other area attractions. Absolutely beautiful sunrises from the dock.

Fun stay! Beautiful historic cottage with mesmerizing views of the White Oak River. Perfect for two couples. Very responsive host and easy check in/out process. We lingered over the views, delicious meals and walks to downtown Swansboro. The home was very well-appointed and full of character and charm. Proximity to Hwy 24 was not an issue during our stay. The sunrises and sunsets were a main attraction. Would recommend for a relaxing visit to the NC coast.

Location / Location / Location - Swansboro a great little fishing town in Eastern North Carolina. Charming place just like the town it's part of, couldn't say enough about the host and how accommodating the place was.

The cottage was everything described and more. We used the beach chairs one day to meet family on the beach for a lovely day! We walked to several restaurants and shops and we had one of the most relaxing enjoyable vacations ever.

This is our second time renting the property. The house is simply perfect for a family of four and could easily accommodate six. It's very clean and we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our vacation. The views from the property are beautiful. We enjoyed coffee and sunrises on the dock and a game of horseshoes in the yard. The kitchen is well-appointed and it was great to be able to do a load of laundry before heading home. There are several grocery stores nearby. It's a quick walk under the bridge to Old Town Swansboro. We ate dinner while enjoying live music at the Boro, grabbed coffee at the upstairs coffee shop, and did plenty of shopping. We didn't pull out the kayak but were happy it was there and saw several people out on the water in front of our house throughout the week. While the house sits on the main road, it's very quiet inside. Its location is also perfect for heading over to Emerald Isle too. Can't recommend it enough.

Great little property with amazing view. We stayed for a few days over the holiday break and really enjoyed this property. I wish we were there over the summer so we could have used the backyard and the waterfront area of the property. The owner was great and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

One of the best rental places that we have stayed at. Swansboro is delightful and the location is perfect. Nothing like being on the water with access to the ICW. Communication with the owner was great and the place had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. We will definitely be back in the future.

Very clean, cozy house. We enjoyed our 4days there.

lovely waterfront home, but NOISY road
The house is really lovely, as is the dock and waterfront, but the road is busy and noisy when you're outside. We are from the country and are used to almost zero road noise so perhaps it won't bother others as much. Inside is charming, spacious, nicely provisioned and quiet with beautiful water views. We really enjoyed using the kayak (wish there were two kayaks). The water access and the dock are great. Very convenient to restaurants and shops in downtown Swansboro.

Nice weekend for relaxing
Property was outstanding, will return again, didn’t catch many fish, but the weather wasn’t right for fishing, Evan was very responsive to any questions we had, close to shops and restaurants, a very nice weekend in Swansboro

Great place. Close to everything and clean and awesome views of the water
Only drawback is the road noise and lights coming right at you all day and night

Great vacation spot
what an adorable beach cottage. The inside is so cute and the furniture so very comfortable. Everyone slept so well in the beds. sometimes beds in rental places are not the best and all of the beds were amazingly comfortable. I stayed here with my family and we so enjoyed the location being so close to the old downtown Swansboro and just a short drive to great beaches. Appreciated having beach towels and chairs that we could use. We brought our croquet set and the backyard was perfect for playing. The sunrise off the dock was magnificent every morning. My 83y/o mother said that this is one of the best beach houses we have stayed in. We would definitely come back here aqnd recommend to others.

Great stay in Swansboro
Listing as described, beds comfortable and amenities great. I agree with other reviewers that the road noise is there - the house is right next to a busy road - but the dock and Italian restaurant right next door more than made up for that. The shower pressure upstairs was a pleasant surprise. Did kill to GIANT flying roaches, but it's the south, so goes with the territory.

Amazing view!
Great vintage cottage right on the water! Well stocked and beautiful coastal decor. Sunrise over the water and cocktails on the dock for sunset!

Excellent location and place
House was great. Walkable to all attractions. Co located with an outstanding restaurant with excellent service and bar. Great fishing off the dock - my boys caught 17 fish in two hours one night and another 10 in an hour the next. Management very responsive - highly recommend

Love this adorable house!!!
When we walked into the house we were so excited to stay here!! Pictures don’t do it justice! The view from the back is gorgeous, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, the showers felt amazing after a long day on the beach and the location (other than the busy street out front) was ideal. Short drive to Emerald Isle and walking distance to cute shops and restaurants. We couldn’t believe how quiet it was in the house - you never would have known there was traffic nearby. This was a perfect long weekend getaway for our family!

It was delightful
We loved this charming cottage with its great “sitting on the dock of the bay”/river setting. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more. Lots of thoughtful touches, e.g., beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels. Thanks, Evan, for caretaking and maintaining as much of the original feel of this historic property as possible yet also incorporating modern necessities. It was delightful.
It would be helpful to update the navigation instructions to this property

We loved our stay in the cute little town of SWANSBORO, NC. ThIs place has a wonderful waterfront view and the house is great. There’s a dock best for fishing, kayaking and SUP.Be aware it is 30” feet away from a busy restaurant and highway on two sides, but the other two sides more than make up for that.
