About this house rental
We have a huge dock - it's over 5000 sq ft with six slips of different sizes. This is a deep water dock in a no wake area, great for swimming and parking your boat, approximately 200 feet from the front door. One of these slips is 60 feet in length designed for large cabin cruisers. It has two separate swim areas, a bar with a fenced-in dining area which is perfect for small children and dogs, and two other sitting areas. We have 2 kayaks, a water slide into the lake, a hammock, fans to keep the air moving, and plenty of space to relax, drink, and listen to music
The dock has an awesome bar with a refrigerator, ice maker, margarita machine, microwave, and bluetooth stereo. The dock also has a gas fireplace and smart TV to watch your favorite shows. We have 2 charcoal grills for your use - one on the dock and one on the patio outside the house. The fenced area on the dock also has fishing pole holders.
The house has stainless steel appliances, a whirlpool tub, a 65 inch TV, and quality bed linens and towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots/pans, toaster, drip coffee maker, knife set, crock pot, etc. (There is a keurig coffee pot in the kitchen area on the dock for those who enjoy a cup of coffee with a view.) There is a dining table adjacent to the kitchen and also bar stools along the kitchen island. We also have an outside dining table with 6 chairs on the patio.
The house is about 200 feet from the dock, up a small hill, and has three bedrooms and two large couches. It will sleep between 8 and 12. The master bedroom is in a loft with a queen size bed and private bathroom. The master has a large balcony with a table and chairs. The master also has a huge open wall looking out over the living room with a huge barn door for privacy. There is a second loft bedroom designed for kids and/or young adults that has a queen size futon. ALL THE TWENTY SOMETHINGS LOVE THE LOFT! There is also a twin mattress in an open area by the laundry nook. The main floor bedroom is a typical bedroom off of the living room with a beautiful barn door and a queen size bed. The couches are very comfortable and can sleep an additional three people if utilized for sleeping. One of the couches has a pull out bed. There is also room for a queen-size air mattress.
The property is located between Gravois Mills and Laurie in a very quiet cove. Laurie has several shopping centers with three Grocery Stores, bait and tackle shops, bowling alley, movie theater, and many other businesses. There are numerous bars and restaurants close both by water and land such as Coconuts, Jolly Rogers, Captain Ron's, Bear Bottoms, Shady Gators, Tap and Grill, Lake Burger and many more. It is a great area of the lake - very quiet yet close to a lot of attractions.
PARKING! There is lots of parking as the property is over an acre, perfect for boat trailers, large trucks, etc. Parking is a problem all over the lake, but not for us!
PETS! We love them and are pet-friendly. We have another property we have been renting for a couple of years and have never had a problem as we just ask that you be reasonable if you choose to bring them. Nobody knows your pet better than you! We do not charge a pet deposit but please remember you will be responsible for any damage caused by your pet. However, we take our two dogs everywhere and have never had a problem. We understand this is the vast majority of pet owners. There is a DOG PARK about 15 feet from the front door with grass and a bench to sit on while you watch your dog and enjoy the view.. The puppies and people love it.

The dock is nice, the owners house is what's in front of it. The actual building we stayed in was up the hill behind it, this was something that was not disclosed clearly. One of the two bars is not open. The owner let us use one of his lifts after he didn't remember agreeing to let us use it. There's another tenant that you share the dock with, along with the owners as well. The house we stayed in is part of the owners shop in which he goes in early in the morning and it woke us up several times, even after i mentioned it to him. I went directly through the owner for a couple extra nights and he charged more than vrbo did per night. There's no doors on the master bedroom or the little single bed area. There's not actually a bed frame in the single bed area, just a mattress on the ground. Lights flicker in the kitchen all the time. The cleanliness wasn't bad but there were spots that could've been better. The dock made up for the huge shortfall that the house has, but overall i did not think the price was worth the accommodations. This owner tries to help but with the money i paid, i was hoping for less issues.

Rusty and Liz went above and beyond for our big group stay. We were an all girl group and felt safe and taken care of the whole time. The house was clean and comfortable, we had so much space to spread out. The dock was THE place to be, it had anything and everything you could need.We were blown away! It was PERFECT for a bachelorette party! We had 10 girls. It was enough room for everyone and we all slept comfortably. It was in a great location.The host is very responsive and will do anything to make your stay perfect! We even forgot some things at the vrbo and he mailed them to us. The dock is stunning and we had an absolute blast. We would highly recommend and we will be going back! The girls and I talked about doing an annual trip!

The house was nice. It had everything you would need for cooking, and it’s updated. Great place for dogs, with their own bathroom/play area. We had 7 people and sleeping arrangements were snug. You don’t have a private dock, you share it with the owner of the vrbo. The owners were there a majority of the time, so it really didn’t feel like we had it “all to ourselves” as you are pretty much using a dock that’s right in front of the owners house. The house is not lakefront or waterfront by any means. The water is about 600’ from the door, down 3 flights of stairs and then a ramp. You can only see a sliver of the water from the master dock. The dock was nice for not having to take our boat out of the water. Overall it was not a bad place to stay, the lake is BEAUTIFUL, and views from the dock were spectacular. We just had hoped to be directly on the water, and felt that the description was misleading.

House had everything needed to accommodate 12 people. Kitchen fully equipped. Awesome kitchen appliances. Kids love the whirlpool tub. Spent most of our time on the dock, kayaking, fishing and swimming. We actually never needed to leave the property for anything. The owner Rusty was there to meet our every need and to make sure that we had an amazing time.

The property is nice, clean and well decorated. It is not waterfront and shares the dock area with another home. But, when we were there we had the whole dock. Super fun area! with a fenced in area that is perfect for dogs. The last 1/2 mile or so to get to this house is in rough shape. 2 members of our group had cars and it was a difficult drive! No fault of the owner at all.

We had an amazing time at the property and the dock was worth it. We had 3 adult couples and our adult children with a couple friends 10 total was a little much for this wide open space. We still had a great time just know there is not a lot of privacy however this space would have been amazing for a large family with younger kids. Rusty was always around when needed and the dock was so fun we spent most of our time down there fishing, swimming, floating and watching the Gas Hole.

Great dock and lake experience, but sleeps less than advertised
We had a blast at the dock but the sleeping arrangements were like playing Tetris. Great dock and bar space outside. The inside is nice, but it only comfortably sleeps 4-adults and 2-3 kids. We searched on Vrbo for a party of 11.

Perfect Getaway! Highly Recommend!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Rusty (the owner) was extremely accommodating for us as well as our pets! There is a new fenced in area that made our pups feel like they were at home! Home was very clean, the two bars were a blast! There is a grill near the home as well as on the dock which worked out perfect for us as we spent most of our time by the water. The dock, bar & swimming area were a big hit for our family! We will definitely be back with more family! He also has more homes on the property available that are very nice! We can't wait to come back! :)

Beautiful View, not super private
This property was new, and clean. Aside from some minor things (single ply TP, no real dining area, bar inaccessible due to equipment and hot water was less than plentiful for four of us) we enjoyed the views of the water and the moon, which are amazing (and unobstructed) from the upper deck.
Unfortunately privacy is a bit of an issue, as there aren’t any real doors on the bedrooms, or master bath. There is also a door between the rental and the attached shop that isn’t lockable from inside the rental.
Overall this place is a good value (especially bc there is no extra fee for our dogs) for the dollar, and the owner was VERY nice and accommodating.

Great Getaway
Rusty is a very responsive host. The outdoor bar is a great place to relax and enjoy the water. The property is very private. Inside is similar to a city loft, very open with barn doors for privacy to the bedrooms. If you have multiple people, just be aware, you will hear everything. In every other aspect, it is very peaceful. This was a nice contrast from the bustle of Osage Beach. Parking was convenient.
The decor is clean, contemporary and spacious. Very large kitchen with everything you need to cook and plenty of storage and counter space. Extremely pet friendly too!!

Awesome location and host!
The property and host are too notch! We had a group of 9 and we slept comfortably using an air mattress in the living room area. It was perfect for what we needed! I would say if you’re planning to have a group of 12 there will be air mattresses taking up the whole house. The host has the two cutest dogs that roam freely so if you bring your dog, make sure they are friendly with other dogs!

Exceptional host
We were a group of 11, with 5 adults and 6 kids ranging from 3-13. The house had plenty of room for is us. Everything was clean and new-ish. The kitchen had every utensil that we needed. The dock was the perfect place for this group of kids to swim and fish constantly. The rooms aren't separated by normal doors so while you have some visual privacy, everyone can hear everyone. This is our normal life, to spend an hour yelling "Be quiet or else....." at a mess of kids. No big deal for us.
The host, though. He did much more than was expected or should be. He even took the group out for an outing on his own boat.
There were a couple very minor inconveniences related to construction, but we were told about it before hand and everything was finished very easily and in no way inconvenienced us. Any little thing was easily outweighed by the graciousness of the host.

Rusty’s goal was to make sure that we had an incredible family vacation. Mission accomplished! The home is beautiful and clean. He brought in a large table to accommodate our needs and upgraded the grill to a large new smoker perfect for us. He even took the whole family for a long ride on his personal boat. Plus you can not find a more pet friendly environment. It was a wonderful vacation

Our stay at this home was nothing short of amazing. My friends had planned my bachelorette weekend here and it was great. I rented this home because it was close to Coconuts where we were wanting to go on Saturday, but it was so much more than a home close to the bar. The owner of the home answered to our every need. He was timely with responses before we got there and was extremely nice while we were there as well (he even offered to pick us up and take us to the bar so that we did not need to get an uber) - SOO NICE! The home is back in a cove which is a huge plus for us - although we were there for a good time at a bachelorette party, we were also there to relax. We were a bunch of girls who love the lake, love to float and just love relaxation. This home gave us all of that. We had our own dock to swim at if we wanted as well as a cute little bar overlooking the water where we sat and played card games all night! The home allowed for plenty of sleeping arrangements and two large bathrooms. We would 100% stay at this home again!
