About this house rental
33 Beach captures the essence of Martha's Vineyard. Built around the turn of the century as a stop for the New York Yacht Club, "Station 6" has seen more than a century of waterfront activity. Looking across the harbor at Vineyard Haven and West Chop, you can relax and watch the beautiful sunsets or find a perfect spot entertaining friends and family. The private deep water dock and mooring - perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, waterboarding or small powerboats. A one minute walk or swim from Eastville Point Beach, you are perfectly positioned on your waterfront cottage. Centrally located, Vineyard Haven just is across the harbor, 3 minutes by boat, or less than a mile by car; Oak Bluffs is a bit over a mile in the opposite direction.
A covered patio overlooks the dock and water, and an enclosed living room on the north side provides a cozy spot to read or chat while watching the waterfront activities. Theres a large fireplace in the middle of the house and common space for chilly nights. A small entertainment area provides a stack of games and puzzles, and a large screen TV when the kids need a break from the sun, and wireless Internet which can be reached throughout the house. The modern eat-in kitchen is in the middle of the common area with updated appliances is perfect for meals on the fly or an all day meal prep.
Adjacent to the deck, a stainless steel gas grill makes barbequeing a snap. A outdoor shower and open, uncovered deck in front of the covered porch which joins the dock makes for a lovely entertaining area for the evening. The first floor has a dining area for 8 (12 with leaves) makes dining a breeze. Three bedrooms upstairs (one king room and two dual-twin rooms) are up, and a main floor master provide great privacy for two families. Both bathrooms are on the first floor, along with a washer/dryer.
The dock and waterfront are a focal point of the house - with beautiful sunsets over the Harbor. It provides a real connection to the water the history of Martha's Vineyard. Watching the ferry alone come and go reminds you where you are and why you are here. You can fish from our dock or in a kayak or motor boat. Striped bass are present from early May to November. Bonito are present in peak numbers in July and August. Albacore show up in mid August and stay into October. A Whaler can be rented by the day or week from Martha's Vineyard Boat Rentals or a Kayak delivered from Wind's Up both in Vineyard Haven. Part of the property to the east is a small lawn that is kept as natural sea grass but is a great protected area to play or relax.
The property is adjacent to the Eastville Beach and also within walking distance of miles of walking trails in the MV Land Bank Conservation Land. Bikes can be rented and delivered from the Martha's Bike shop by the day or week, making it easy to enjoy the miles of safe bike trails on the island. Bike paths connecting Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, and Vineyard Haven town centers make getting around the island by two wheels a fun way to explore.

Unbeatable location with amazing water views. We could have spent every day just hanging out on the dock all day. The house has everything needed for a fun family stay. Bikes, Kayaks, etc.

Host very accommodating and communicative. Responded to inquiries with a sense of urgency.

Great location and Alex was a great host. Sunset, dock and mooring all part of the experience. Beach cottage with a lot of charm and outstanding views. I would highly recommend this property.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at East Chop. The house was beautifully decorated with bright decor. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked a few nights with ease. The location was fabulous, with a gorgeous dock in front of house and a short walk to a beach where small children could wade safely in shallow, calm water.
Close to shops, and restaurants.
Only problem was the kitchen could have use a more thorough cleaning.

Heavenly place right on the water
We had a delightful stay at this wonderful property right on the beach. Sitting on the deck and listening to the waves lap on the shore was heavenly! There was plenty of common space to hang out inside during hot days. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for extensive cooking. There was plenty of fun equipment to borrow, including bikes, kayaks, beach chairs, a croquet set, jigsaw puzzles, and more. The house is less than 10 minutes from both Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. The owner, Alex, was delightful to work with and very responsive to any requests or issues that came up. We missed our first few nights due to a storm and Alex generously offered us several free days at the end of our week to make up for it, which he didn’t have to do. We recommended this place without reservation and hope to return to it.

perfect location for a mellow holiday
Loved the location of this waterfront property with the dock leading off the back porch. Just a few minutes walk to Easterville Beach and Cove, and close to both Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. All amenities for water and beach use were included and owner responded promptly to all inquiries.

We spent a wonderful week in this classic Martha's Vineyard home. The covered porch and large deck (both with lots of chairs) put you right on the water, with great views and breezes. Very comfortable rooms and a well-stocked, modern kitchen. Large dining table seats many and there is a nice sitting room for hanging out on a rainy day (we only had 1). A short walk to Vineyard Haven and Oaks Bluff is a quick drive. Big entry porch for storing bikes so easy to get around. Will stay here again!

We had a lovely time enjoying the house and water! Great place for families and great location to get to downtown Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven. We rode bikes and took the bus which you can access right out the front door. Sunsets are beautiful! Water activities are endless. We are going to miss the view!

Great water access for MV
Old school MV beach cottage (No a/c). Lovely updated furnishings. Don't have to travel to beach for water activities (access off pier at house). Bring water shoes; beach is rocky. Close to bike path, although the whole island shares large portions with cars (helmet needed). Easy bike ride to sand beaches and Oak Bluff. We cooked most meals at the house (kitchen well stocked). Bedroom layout: 1 large, 2 small bedrooms upstairs with their bath at the base of the stairs (1st floor). Master bed and bath attached on 1st floor.
