About this apartment rental
**Free cancellations if any SC state or local travel restrictions or beach access are in place at time of check in.
For your safety:
**This house is thoroughly cleaned with CDC recommended sanitizer between each guest ( to include black light technology inspection after each cleaning)
Nestled among the oaks and palms and overlooking the Atlantic, this three bedroom, three bath Shipwatch villa offers a cool retreat for your Wild Dunes vacation. With the direct beach access and oceanfront Shipwatch pool this villa has all you need to enjoy your Low-Country retreat.
The open floor plan has a full size kitchen, with island, overlooking both the dining and living areas and offers everything the chef in your group will need - while also allowing them to be part of the group. It is also worth mentioning that, unlike so many condos, this property has a full size washer and dryer - which can be very convenient.
Both the living room and master bedroom open to the ocean facing porch. You are looking at the ocean through the boughs of an aged oak tree contributing just the right amount of shade in the afternoon. This is the perfect place for enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails.
All three bedrooms have their own private bath. Each bed is dressed with 100% cotton sateen sheets and feathery down pillows - the perfect place to rest if you've had a little too much fun in the sun. We have tried to make each bed as comfy as we like our own beds at home!
Of course, in today's high tech world, we have smart TVs in each room along with high speed internet for those that simply cannot afford to "unplug". We hope you'll consider our small slice of paradise for your next Low-Country vacation!

This was an excellent condo. I would stay there again. Our only problem was the elevator was out the entire time; however, that was due to the Tropical Storm Debbie, not the fault of anyone. Being on the second floor helped. I would recommend this condo to anyone. I do not think you would be disappointed. The property manager was excellent also.

This was a nice area, close to the beach, had elevator, and you could always find a parking space. The pool was very nice, but as you can imagine, the hot weather makes it more like a hot tub. We stuck to the ocean which had the perfect temp.. That said, the unit definitely needs an upgrade. Washer/dryer, pot's/pans, and appliances. This was a new spot for the family, we usually go to Sanibel Island FL and stay in the same unit every year, that was until the hurricane destroyed the complex. We would pay half of what we paid for this unit, and it was always freshly renovated. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but were a little disappointed.

This property was perfect for me and my two teens and could have accommodated more people comfortably! It was clean and updated as advertised and management was incredibly quick to respond to questions. The view was beautiful and it was great to have access to the pool when we needed a beach break. We would definitely stay here again!

We love IOP and Wild Dunes! The location of the unit was great and the unit was spacious and comfortable. There were a few things that need improvement:
Dryer - awful never drys. Need continuous cycles like 4 cycles for each load and I did NOT overload - horrible buzzer which will wake the house.
Microwave has no power had to heat things for extended time. Bath towels - super old worn and dingy - to include hand towels and black makeup towels. We were advised that there were
No beach chairs, beach towels - but REALLY? It’s a beach condo and we are from out of town.
TV- horrible picture and color. Split line across the middle. Rules regarding resetting TV and $150 charge seemed excessively punitive.
WiFi was lousy. Both my son and husband had difficulty working from the unit. I had trouble just with my cell phone and the WiFi not being strong enough. It was better outside so I dont think it’s a “barrier island” thing. No cleaning products - how are we supposed to maintain the unit if there is not even any windex? Too many rules - clean this, leave that, wash this, strip that. We paid a lot I should not be told to strip beds or leave towels washing especially since I had to provide my own laundry detergent. Balcony- not clean or blown off. Spider webs old hair sand spill marks. I had emailed prior to arrival to inform I was allergic to feathers. I never received a response and assumed it was because it was a nonissue only to find the house is full of down pillows.

This amazing condo was right on the beach AND had a swimming pool! With 3bd/3bath it was large enough for my family! Everything was extremely clean and the towels and linens were perfect and comfortable! The lovely bathrooms had been updated and the photos just needs to be updated on VRBO as we were expecting a tub in the master, the property manager was very responsive. It was a perfect way to visit Charleston and stay just outside the city. I would absolutely rent this property the next time we visit

We had an amazing time at an amazing beach condo! It was so close to the ocean, was a clean and accommodating condo that was very family friendly. I will be looking to stay here again!

This was a great location and very clean. It was a wonderful experience for our family. We highly recommend requesting the chairs and umbrellas so the beach is set up for you to enjoy right away. Close to Charleston and shopping. We will definitely be back!

Our family enjoyed our stay. Nice accommodations. Great assistance from property manager. Great beach time, pool time, and short trip to visit Charleston and Fort Sumter. We would like to return.

Overall it was a good property but per night cost for a early November stay was not worth it. Owner charged an extremely high per night cleaning fee for a 3 night stay. On top of that high fee we were left instructions to strip the beds, wash the bedding, empty the garbage, wash the dishes. Gouging guests will not get return visits.

We had a great time in IOP! The unit was clean and spacious. It is a great location for beach and pool.

We had a wonderful, enjoyable time at Isle of Palms. The Condo was very comfortable and more than enough room for all of us. We loved the beach and the view of the beach right from the deck was so refreshing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would choose this area again in the future.

Propery was perfect for our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kid). Cute beachy/coastal decor. Comfortable beds. Plenty of room in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was conveniently stocked for our group. Living room and patio look out toward the beach. There is an elevator in the building. Parking is conveient and there were even luggage carts to help you get your bags and groceries in and out. The pool is close and had plenty of chairs. It is not too far of a walk down to the beach and its decked for part of it. The residential Wild Dunes community the condos are in is really nice. It is not a big "party" atmosphere which we liked, but had plenty of activities at tbe Pavillion if you choose. We were there 4th of July week so there was extra traffic and getting out to the store could be a little inconvenient but it lightened up significantly after the 4th. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this unit!

We had a great time at the Shipwatch condo and really enjoyed our stay. The property was in good shape, the location was awesome, and we loved the Isle of Palms area. We definitely plan to come back next time we come to South Carolina!

Property was very good.
Beach and pool were very nice.
Local restaurants and shops in IOP
for the most part only have street parking very hard to find at peak times.
Reasonably close for visiting Charleston and Mt Pleasant.
Condo only had a few issues, needs more silverware in the kitchen. Also the glass shower doors in the twin bedroom are not seated properly and are very hard if not impossible to slide.

This is our second time staying at this property and it is just perfect. It's a one level condo that is beach front. There is a short walk to the beach with a wooden path. It is easy to access for all ages. The rooms were clean and check-in was easy.

My wife and I brought our son, daughter-in-love, and two grandsons to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary at the beach. We had a wonderful week enjoying the sun, sand, and sea together as well as the many sights around Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Isle of Palms (or as our grandson put it "Palm Tree Island!" ) Shipwatch Villas was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy our vacation!

Arrival was easy, the condo had plenty of room and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cookware we needed. Would love to stay here again.

Loved our stay here. Beds we’re comfortable and property was quiet. Plenty of family fun and we love the bike paths. Excellent location and the condo was spacious.

Thank-you for a great stay, and a wonderful location!!! My only complaint is the kitchen supplies were bare to done. I am a cook and we like to eat out meals in. THis kitchen lack supplies (stock pan, skillet, wine glasses, spatula, tongs, etc.) P.S. bring detergent they like you to wash two loads of towels and sheet and no detergent?

We had the most wonderful weekend at this spot! Communication from the owners was very thorough and we were prepared with all we needed to know far ahead of time. The building itself was easy to access and the condo was easily accessible by stairs and elevator. There was plenty of space and each bedroom was cozy. I did enjoy that each bedroom had its own bath. The kitchen was complete with all we needed and the view from the balcony and proximity to the beach were wonderful. I am so thankful we had this weekend and hope to come back in the future!

Hurricane Ian Came and we bolted to higher ground the host returned our rent for nights we fled to high ground.

Great condo! Perfect for a Charleston/beach trip. Well appointed with nice view of the ocean. A few minor issues with check in because we did not read materials ahead and thought we only needed the code. Would definitely return!

Property was clean upon arrival. Right on the beach, great location and easy to get to. I do wish the kitchen had more updated pots and pans, cooking utensils. The t.v. In the living room was too hard to use, instructions were challenging. Overall- it’s a nice beach rental and would recommend.

Overall good stay
We enjoyed our stay at Shipwatch. A few mishaps with the cable/internet that were fixed by management. Very responsive management, and we appreciated them!
Previous reviews about the master bed are accurate - it’s the worst mattress I have ever slept on. I wish I had brought my own pillow to help make it more comfortable.
Notes on handicapped accessibility: Overall a great condo to rent with handicapped folks. Lots of parking, a nice elevator, and luggage carts available for use. The master bedroom/bathroom is NOT handicapped accessible as the shower is a good 18 inch step up as you can see from listing photos. However, the double bedroom has a nice walk in shower that worked well for my parents. Take note that the steps into the condo pool are randomly sized and we saw quite a few people take a tumble.

Great family holiday
We had 2 families share the condo for 4 nights. We loved the location and set up of the condo, furniture, beds etc are in great shape. Interaction with the property manager was easy, we would definitely rent again.

Floridians
Where do Floridians go to vacation, Isle of Palms. Great location just enough away from the crowd but close enough to enjoy dinners and Downtown Charleston. The internet was a bit difficult at times only because we had two teenagers but it forces them to find other avenues of entertainment like family games! The condo was very nice, has everything you need including beach supplies, fans for the room and all the kitchen accessories. We had a great family vacation!

IOP Condo
Great beach location and the property manager left a ton of recommendations for our stay which was super helpful!

Pretty condo just doorsteps from the beach
Two adults and three children (ages 6, 4, and 2) stayed in this property. We loved how close we were to the beach. All we had to do was exit the property and walk down the private path to the beach. On our way back, we used the outdoor shower and water hose to wash off. The condo itself was nicely furnished. We did notice that a few table surfaces and decorative objects were quite dusty. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the condo and beach.

Had a great time with family. 100+ for a wedding. Some stayed on and some stayed off island. This location was great for those who wanted a peaceful beach experience but close to some places to go out, golf or play tennis. Check in process was a breeze!

Nice place for a great price
This was a nice place and well equipped. Great location.

I would love to come back there again. Everything was perfect with the exception of the cellular service, but it’s good to break away from technology every now and then.
