A great place to stay!

The room was perfect. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and very clean. The washroom was very well equipped and accommodating. Would definitely recommend the Champlain to others. The owners were most friendly and helpful!

There were two of us--perhaps another drinking glass.

I am sure in the summer it would be a good hotel but in winter not so much

The rooms have been renovated so was clean with nice beds to sleep in

Coffee was only supplied first day, we stayed 4 nights and had to go get coffee offsite Although it snowed, no one ever came out to shovel the walkway AND STAIRS to get down to the vehicles, this was VERY unsafe trying to use the stairs, My husband actually went out himself and shovelled. Wanted so bad to have a soaker bath, but after 20 minutes of just getting warm water gave up. 5 min showers going forward. They were in to take out the garbage but never replaced a towel or replenished toilet paper which was the worst cheapest brown one ply scratchy product ever.

The staff standing outside staring and overly curious. Although I paid the fees online, they tried to charge my card double the ampunt. Good thing the card has a low limit on it. Then I got a knock on my hotel room threatwbing me if I dont pay more money, they woyld call police. I told them go ahead, I guess they werent expecting the answer. Then only then got quite, terrible experience, will never go back

The online pics are misleading. Maybe other rooms were better.

Location was fine and easy to find. A bit of a drive to other restaurants. Online pics made this particular room look very nice.

No ice machine for guests. Repairs and maintenance were that of an amateur. There were cracks in the drywall that needed patching. Some patched areas were mudded, not sanded, then painted. Tiling job in bathroom was not well done. Laminate flooring had gotten wet and buckled..a tripping hazard. To our surprise, there were mirrors over the king bed…what a laugh we had!! There was a jacuzzi tub that also had a shower head. Floor of jacuzzi tub was uneven, and for safety, there should have been a rubber bath mat and safety bars. Curtains did not fit the window so they just undid the hem..did not look nice. A peek out the bathroom window revealed two old, creepy mobile homes someone was living in. Online pics of this room looked nice, but in reality, it was a surprise to say the least! The owner was extremely proud of his establishment, and I give him “A” for effort, but it appeared he was trying to do everything as cheap as he could by maybe buying second hand goods that just weren’t up to snuff.

Truly enjoyed my stay. It has been under new management. I would stay here again.

Breakfast is not included. This is a family run operation. The family live right there! 24 hour attention. I stayed by myself, with my family in the next room. I felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again. There is a BBQ for your use, and a new fry truck on site.

I would have liked a few more hangers in my room. But, I am sure if I had asked, they would have been provided.

Would stay again on future road trips

Spacious unit. Newly renovated bathroom. Motel managed by friendly family. Great value for money.

Large en suite kitchen was in need of renovation and cleaning. It didn't bother us as we hadn't planned on using the kitchen.
