Upon arrival we were able to gain access to the home with no issue. The home was clean and organized. Rules and regulations were visible and clear. We did notice a smell in the home and reached out to the property owner. There was a quick response and maintenance arrived shortly after. We spent more time enjoying the beautiful warm and clean dock where we used the provided water toys and rented a boat from the local marina. The community was warm and welcoming. We had a large group ranging in age and there was something to do for everyone. I would stay at this property again.

This was great stay and the owners were friendly and easy to contact. We had a great time and the house was beautiful!

Great venue. Old college buddies get together every year for a long weekend. We are 50+ now but still enjoy a good time. This place comfortably accommodated 9 of us with beds to spare. Very nice place. Great communication with property owner.

We try to make it down to Norris, at least 2–3 times a year, we really liked the house and like that it was back off the main channel, so the kids could fish and swim. I know most people complain about the steps but I like it because it’s a good workout - lol.
Thanks again to the owners!

Our stay at Spring Lily was absolutely fantastic. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable for a large group. Tom & Natalie were super responsive and helpful anytime we reached out to them. We would happily go back.
Some info that might be helpful to visitors:
- There are approx 96 stair steps from the dock to the main level... this is a workout (even for our collegiate athletes!). It felt like a nice workout to balance all the food and drink, so we didn't mind it.
- Flat Hollow Marina was great for buying bags of ice, renting a boat & jet ski. They also had "Taco Tuesday", karaoke and live entertainment in the evenings.
- The lake water is SO blue & clear you can easily see your toes when swimming. Also, for July, the water was a perfect temp... not cold at all.
- The wifi gets a bit overloaded if you have a large group all with devices trying to log in. But the marina has free wifi. :-)
- The road leading to the house is one-way and the parking is tight, but very do-able for 3 "cars". (for us: 2 SUVs and a 5'x8' uhaul trailer, we unhooked).
- The house sound proofing is AMAZING. We had a group that stayed up late and played games, foozball, etc. If they were on the main floor, you could slightly hear them from the master bedroom (but we used one of the box fans and it created plenty of white noise). BUT, if people were on the lower 2 floors, we could not hear anything from the master. It was impressive.
Overall an A++!

The property accommodated our group of 12 comfortably. We enjoyed the quiet setting of the cove, hanging and swimming from the dock was some of our favorite time spent. The kids enjoyed kayaking and fishing from the dock.
Access to Flat Hollow Marina was convenient, the marina staff was very friendly and helpful.
Our only criticism, the house was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. We had to do some light cleaning before settling in.
The owners were good to work with, very responsive.

Wonderful stay! Had an issue with AC and owner fixed within 24 hours! Great communication with owner! Easy check in and out process! House as advertised!

Had a great stay. Good location, house good for family.

Natalie and her husband were extremely awesome host and we had a wonderful weekend with our family despite not wonderful weather we made the best of it. They even were gracious enough to give us a little time extra on Monday to check out a little late because there wasn’t someone checking in that day, which was , some thing they did not have to do.... we recommend staying here the marina that is close is fun. If you have a joy for live bands, some weekends, they have those and Norris lake never disappoints.

The house is gorgeous and there was plenty enough room for our large family. Tom and Natalie were great host, they are very nice, polite and very accommodating. My family enjoyed everything about the house. We look forward to renting from them again in the future.

We stayed at the Spring Lily Retreat in late Sept 2022, with a group of 13. The home was sized well for our group and allowed for comfortable spacing across the numerous bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the amenities, like the hot tub, endless deck space, waterfront dock, wifi, and streaming services available on the TVs.
Being avid water-sporters, the proximity to the marina was also a big plus. Flat Hallow Marina ownership has changed in recent years and they have made/are in progress of making significantly positive renovations to all facilities. The restaurant, watercraft rental options, refinished boat ramp and newly graveled trailer lot, made being on this part of the lake, unbeatable.
Tom and Natalie were great hosts, prompt with communication and provided clear check in/out processes. I would strongly recommend the Spring Lily Retreat as a destination for those looking for a relaxing lake getaway trip!

Great place. Lots of bedrooms and beds. Great for a couples trip.
Property owners were responsive and very accommodating.

The property was lovely. Lots of steps to get to the dock. One person was 86 and one 79. They had no problem. House was furnished with everything you would need. We had trouble with TV in the living area. Maybe is was because we didn't know how to use it.

This property is a good location in Flat Hallow, very close to the marina which made it nice for renting boats. It’s a nice house with plenty of space for all the adults we had, all the pictures accurately depict the property. Only two things I would say that we found as minor downsides were the fact that all the beds seemed to be hard as rocks, all of us old gals had sore backs every morning we woke up. The hot tub cover is horribly torn apart and super heavy making it hard to take off and put back on, it needs to be replaced very badly. There is veryyyy little parking also. Only enough for 3 cars which in a big group meant some people had to park at the marina. Communication with the owners is very easy and we received quick responses to questions and concerns. We very much enjoyed our trip to beautiful Norris lake!

Spring lily was very well described an very well kept. Easy communication with owner an was ver nice an polite. Pros are trash picked up twice a week during summer which is unheard of. House is very well laid out to enjoy nice weather or if you have to spend the day inside due to weather. Deck is great along with hot tub. Norris lake itself is very amazing an will never disappoint. The dock is spot on an covered as well and the no wake is long but also nice to not have waves crashing your boat all day. One big recommendation I could make is bring 2 way radios. Cell service is very spotty or minimal an is nice to community from dock to house without traversing the stairs which are a lot but easily managed. Not very many con’s infact only ones there are can’t be controlled such as roads are very tight there is basically no room for a truck to uturn especially with a trailer so drive smart. Even tho parking was tight the marina was wonderful and nice for overflow parking an trailer parking. I would reccomend spring lily 5 times over and will deff be booking again.

The owners were terrific. They responded right away to questions about the area, etc. The decorating was very light and airy and the beds were honestly fantastic. They were way, way better than other rentals we have had. All the appliances seemed very up to date as well. The house has two complete levels of covered decks for visiting outside as well as a covered table area off the kitchen. In addition to the main level great room it had two living room areas with couch and tvs on level 2 and 3.. For the area the parking was good with 4 cars easily parking there. To us the greatest asset was that the house is in a no wake zone. Our boaters went out past Flat Hollow Marina for all their tubing and skiing while the rest could kayak and swim out around the dock. All ages spent lovely days in the water off the dock in a very safe environment.

Wonderful Getaway!
We have been to Norris every year for a long time and this was definitely one of our favorite places to stay. It was clean, spacious and in a great location. Whenever we had questions and text the owners, we would get very fast responses. We even got to check in a little early! Overall, this house gave our family a wonderful place to stay where we made great memories!

Great week!
Had a wonderful time at this property. A few minor hiccups, everything promptly dealt w by owners. Wi-Fi a little spotty, but that’s not why I’m in the lake!! Great location, just not my favorite part of the lake, but that’s a preference.

We had a great time, as always, on Norris Lake. The home is clean and well stocked, with plenty of linens in bathrooms and bedrooms. We have stayed in this particular home twice, and still find it a bit frustrating that there is very little space to store a week's worth of food for so many people. We end up using every inch of counter space and having to keep totes on the floor in the dining area. I'd recommend reducing the amount of miscellaneous dishes and enough stemware for a small army, in order to free up at least some cupboard space.
Be warned - there are lots of stairs! Not a good home for young kids or anyone with any physical challenges. Even our very fit young adults got tired of the daily climb.
All in all, it IS a lovely home and the lake is our favorite destination for a summer vacation.

Great family getaway!
We just wrapped up a great week at the lake! We had 9 adults and 5 kids for a total of 14 guests. The house was very clean. The room sizes were great. The bathrooms were all very nice. The kitchen was well stocked. The dock was great for parking the ski boat and pontoon, but it was also lots of fun for the kids to jump off and swim. The main level deck was where we spent most of our time when we weren’t in the water. We loved the covered portion with the fan. It was our favorite spot in the house. With 14 guests, it was great to have overflow tables on the deck for eating meals! The marina is so close, and we enjoyed some of the activities they had planned there.
We knew this going into it, but there are a fair amount of steps leading down to the water. The main kitchen was a bit tight for 14 people. The extra kitchen in the basement came in handy! We stored extra food and drinks and ice down there.
Overall, it was a great house for our family to hang out in for a week!

Great house to rent
Pluses: detailed clear and accuracy instructions on entering, using and leaving the house. Lots of new improvements and new remodeling. Was not on a main Channel so no boat traffic waves beating up my boat like happens at most houses. Negatives : there is a long no wake zone to get to the lake channel. Trailer parking is worse than average for Norris marinas.

We had a fantastic weekend! The house was very clean, equipped with everything a large group would need and provided plenty of space to relax. Tom and Natalie were quick to respond and very pleasant. A definite house to revisit when on Norris again.

WSW2021
This was our groups 19th year getting together for “Water Safety Weekend” and our first time renting a house over a houseboat. The house was everything we could have asked for during our stay. There is a lot of steps down to the water but that was to be expected. Check in was great as we got there a little early and the owners worked with us in letting us unload our vehicles while they finished cleaning. The dock was large enough for our group and had plenty of room for us to park our boats. Would definitely consider staying at this property again.

The home is lovely, sleeps 16 easily with pullout sofas for more. The dock is amazing (as long as you don’t mind lots of steps), we hung out there before and after boat trips. Nice ladder down to the water for swimming. Flat Hollow Marina is 5 minutes away by car, 15 by boat. Nice places at the house to gather for dinner and games inside and out. My family loved it!

This beautiful home was a perfect fit for our family of our adult children & grandchildren. Lots of room to gather together or find some space for some quiet time. We couldn't be happier with our choice. The owners responsed to a slight problem with their beautiful new dock immediately & I'm happy to say we had no issue with the septic system 😀. We would love to rent this home again!

The house was great! We had no issues at all. If I had any questions the owners responded right away. If you want to work when you are at the lake it really isn't possible. It is a vacation and the WiFi makes it be a vaction. Which I didn't mind, I really needed the time away from work. I think we all do sometimes.

We have rented on Norris Lake for thirteen years. This was a new location for us this year. The home has a good number of bedrooms and bathrooms, although it would have been nice to know the top level bunk room had no door or closet. It is decorated in a current, lakeside cottage style that we liked and it pretty much had all that we needed. However, we found that though it sleeps over 20 people, the main living space and kitchen are small. With only 11 people, we still couldn't all hangout together comfortably in one family room in the evening (only one full couch, one loveseat, and one chair). Additionally, the kitchen is small, which would be fine if not for the fact that every cupboard and cabinet was full of glasses and cups and utensils (I think we counted five drawers of the same type of utensils). It lacked enough kitchen towels and empty places to put our food (for a place that sleeps over twenty, you need to remember the group will also be feeding all those people). The small pantry was open but not nearly big enough. I think the full cupboards and drawers could be reworked. The kitchen also needed a deep clean. Every drawer and cupboard looked like it had not been wiped out (crumbs, etc) in a long time.
Be prepared for stairs, as there are 79 outside, and four floors within the house. All of that said, we always love our time on the lake and this didn't disappoint. We were afraid it might be too crowded due to the proximity to the marina, but our neighbors were quiet, which helped.
It's a tight fit for launching the boat - not a launch for novices. Expect storing the trailer way out of sight, with no help, no security, and in a different location up the mountain. The upside was no fee for storage.
The dock was great, with both covered and sunny spots until 4:00 pm when it was all shade but we were all plenty sun kissed by then! We didn't use the fire pit due to stairs, the hot weather, and the septic smell outside.
Owner addressed our empty grill propane in a timely and friendly fashion.
There is no WiFi bandwidth available for streaming. I wish we'd known so the teenagers could have downloaded movies in advance for the evenings. However, the WiFi worked for texting and calls.
