About this house rental
Summary:
This vintage bungalow is located in St. Vincent Historic District, within walking distance to waterfront restaurants, amenities and a world class ferry service to San Francisco and a short drive to the world renowned Wine Country. Renovated by award-winning architects, this original tiny house is your home away from home, while enjoying affordable 5-star premium boutique experience! The owners are, mom-and-pop, all time Superhosts with over 700 nearly 5 star reviews. We welcome you all!
The Space:
The historic Bungalow, the original tiny house of 700 square feet area of space is ample for up to 4 guests. Again, fully renovated for modern convenience but keeping all historic charm intact. The bungalow has one-bedroom, walk-in closet, one bath (Jack and Jill) with a claw foot tub, large eat in kitchen, laundry/pantry room and a cozy comfortable living room. A private outdoor area with seating is available for your use. There is other outdoor seating for larger groups. Stylish furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen await to show off your culinary talent. The porch, deck or front steps of the property is a wonderful place for you to hang out and watch the sunset over the Napa River, it is quite stunning.
There are dedicated AC window units in both the living room and the bedroom. The Bungalows have heating and cooling, unlike some Victorians.
Boutique Bungalows have over 650 nearly 5-star reviews! Our reviews speak for itself, but I can attest, our Boutique Bungalows are at the top-top-tier accommodation for any short-term rentals and hotels available in the area and the region. For its premium offer at affordable budget, value is stupendous!
Here are what guests are saying: “immaculate, stylish, cozy, kitchen with all imaginable tools, most comfortable and cozy bed, all with exceptional hospitality of host who responds quickly.” For all that, Bungalows are an affordable option to costly Wine country accommodations. 99% of guests rate the value five stars. Many are also surprised by how close the wineries are, and as I have highlighted, guests agree that it is a “great jumping-off point” to what the Bay Area offers.
Waterfront Weather: The microclimate of the bungalows is an enjoyable place to stay. It is +/-15 degrees cooler with its waterfront breeze in summer thanks to the proximity to the Bay. In winter, it also has a moderating effect on the chill factor.
One guest exclaimed, “this was the most relaxing vacation I had in 25 years,” sitting under a shade looking at the Napa River right from the property (BB3).
Bungalow Two has plenty of free unrestricted parking right in front of their unit.
Guest Access:
Each Guest/group have access to their entire freestanding bungalow, affording complete privacy. Unlike 90% of STR in the area, our Bungalows are fully detached, charming houses with each having its own private yards and views to the Napa River from the Property grounds.
Contactless Checkin-Checkout: The entry door is equipped with a private access code for Your use only. You can check in and check out at your own pace anytime. Please ring a bell if you forget your code or have any issues, and we can help.
The Neighborhood:
The historic St. Vincent district is peppered with beautiful historic Victorians, including one famous Julia Morgan building. The Boutique Bungalows were part of the worker housing for the Mare Island Shipyard. It is vintage and charming to boot. Live in history and try out these original tiny houses! All Bungalows were renovated for modern convenience but keeping its character in tact. A quick walk down to the Ferry Terminal with service to San Francisco and the SF Giants Ballpark, numerous waterfront restaurants & bars, walkways, and nature trails. Walking distance is Mare Island with its outdoor Breweries, wine tasting rooms, and historical shipyard and officers mansions worth taking a tour. The ferry ride across the Bay is an absolute treat in itself. Leave your car and hop on a Ferry; for couples, it is a much better way to visit San Francisco. Vallejo is famous for its waterfront festivals(Pirates, Vintage Car Shows ++), Sear Point Raceway, Six Flags Amusement Park, and a gateway to this beautiful Bay Area. Treat Bungalows as your jumping-off point to Marin, East Bay, San Francisco, and VA hospitals in Fairfield. Only a short ride to the world-famous wineries and San Pablo Bay Wildlife Sanctuary for fantastic bird watching. And for trivia, Vallejo was the original capital of California!
Getting Around:
Centrally located, Vallejo is an excellent hub for your Bay Area attractions with easy access to Sonoma/Napa wineries, North and East Bays, and San Francisco. You have quick access to major highways via HWY 37, Interstate 80, Interstate 780, and direct ferry services. You could forgo a car if you opt to. I would recommend renting a car for families or group of 3 or more.
Bungalows are accessible via automobile, ferry, Bart, Bus, and Uber/Lyft.
Note: Even though Bungalows are located walkable distance to major transit options, I recommend having a car for grocery shopping and other site seeing in those days you need to rent cars.
Other Things to Note:
FREE Parking: There is plenty of unrestricted street parking in the immediately in front of Bungalows. There are no parking rules: unlike any other cities in the Bay Area.
FREE WIFI: Very fast Xfinity/Comcast wifi for guests: 225 MPS speed.
Sofa Bed: Please inform us any two guest reservation that requires sofa bedding. Sofa bedding comes automatically for three + guests. For two guests not using the main bed together, please inform us.
Sofa Mattress: 4" thick memory foam bed for comfort.
Pack and Play: If you need the pack and play, for children under 36" tall, please inform us no later than 72 hours before check-in. Booking time is the best for asking for the pack and play. If you forget, I have to charge $25 for the setup fee.
Bedding/Linens: I am a linen snob. Nothing in our Bungalows are polyester or microfiber. All 100% cotton single ply long staple yarns for bed sheets and 100% cotton turkish towels only.
Cleanliness is Godliness: Cleanliness is the top priority on top of other premium features we provide. IE luxurious bathrobes. Our cleaning fees reflect living wages for our hard working cleaners which creates jobs for locals.
Contact less Checkin and Checkout: So easy! The door code is your last four digit of your phone number activates at agreed checkin time and deactivates 11:30 AM checkout date.
Checkout Instructions: We do not ask guests to conduct laundry list of chores before they leave! We are easing COVID rules and all guests have to do is put away dirty dishes or soak dirty pans. This is if you used them at all. This is to aid cleaners for a quick turnaround so other guests can checkin earlier if need be.
Bungalows: Bungalow one is styled mid-century modern,
Bungalow two is French Cottage, and Bungalow three is French Provence.
They are separate freestanding little houses on one large lot with ample outdoor space in between. Located on the hill over looking the Bay provide great views but need to climb stairs.
Quiet and Peace: Many guests cannot believe how peaceful and quiet our neighborhood is. So close to the Marina but far away enough for any traffic noise or commercial traffic
Interaction with Guests:
I am available for any questions as they arise. There is also a guest information manual in the home, listing attractions in the area. I live near by where I can be available for any emergencies. Please call the number listed on the Airbnb.

I asked if she used any heavy scents or air fresheners, she denied any use of heavily scented products which wasn't true.
The neighborhood is a bit sketchy.

We traveled to CA to visit several different cities, and Vallejo was central to them all. The Bungalow was the perfect size for my husband and me to stay for several days.

Perfect short term stay for my partner and I. I was moving and concerned about having a full car out on the street, but it turned out to be incredibly safe. Only nice neighbors and other sweet tenants around us. The place itself was clean and well serviced. We visited SF easily by walking to the ferry and taking a short 60 minute ride over. We also visited 6flags via a very cheap uber from the house. Would stay again. The location was as perfect at the house itself 💯

The property was exactly as it was posted. We really enjoyed it. Some one reviewed it as noisy, it was far from that. It was very peaceful. When we had a question it was answered very quickly. Would book it again!

Well appointed and comfortable, shenanigans in the neighborhood were sketchy on the weekend. Fantastic location for day trips but the microwave didn’t work while we were there.
I would recommend!

We had a great stay in this charming and beautiful cottage. It was perfectly located for our plans to visit both Sonoma and San Francisco!

My friends and I were in town for the holiday weekend and had an easy and wonderful stay at this property! The best touch was the snacks provided-such a nice touch!! Highly recommend if you want to visit Napa and Sonoma but don’t want to pay Napa and Sonoma hotel prices!

We chose this location so we could take the ferry to SF ($8 with Clipper card / seniors half price) and also rent a car (we used Enterprise on Samona Dr and they were wonderful to deal with) and tour Napa. The ferry is a 10 minute walk mostly on flat sidewalk. The house is on a slight hill and even though we are not fit, we did not mind it. Uber is $8 if needed (we used it when we had luggage).
Everything you need is there. Brand new appliances and the bed is extra comfortable. We really enjoyed it. Couldn’t sit outside much because it was cold and windy but it looks very inviting.
The only thing we would suggest is to put a railing on the front steps.
We would not hesitate to return or recommend.

It was just what we needed!

Cute, small house with a great central location to drive into Napa and San Francisco. We were also able to walk to the ferry dock to save on parking. The house was well appointed with clean, fresh bedding and towels. It could use some more comfortable seating and was missing small things like salt/pepper that left us running to the store. Overall, quiet and comfortable place to stay.

My wife and I enjoyed our seven day stay. Location was amazing, just a short walk in order to catch ferry to downtown San Francisco. Views are very nice. We watched the sunset almost every night. We’ll definitely be back because the price was reasonable!!

Great location. Quaint bungalow. I loved being within walking distance to the ferry to San Francisco. This was a girlfriends trip to celebrate a birthday. It was also a nice midway point to Napa for wine tasting & close to family & friends in Oakland. The place was very clean & tastefully decorated. The host was extremely accommodating without being overbearing. Don’t miss out on this reasonably priced gem.

Perfect bungalow to call home
We had a great experience here. Everything was ready for us with every detail thought out. Elegantly decorated and cozy. It was the perfect home base for us while we explored San Francisco and Napa Valley.

Cute Bungalow Bay Area Get Away
If you are looking to get away to the Bay area for a vacation and are looking for a vintage bungalow, this is the place! We had a great time visiting the wine country of Sonoma during the day and spending quiet nights in this cute bungalow. The property was clean and well equipped and the communication with the owner was great. We had a great time and hope to be back again next spring.

Cute little bungalow!
Very clean! Great landscaping! Perfect central location for visiting Napa and Sonoma, as well as convenient ferry service to San Francisco 3 minutes from house. This would be perfect for a couples get away. Only downside of there was one is the steep stairs to the front door from the street.

On the bay
Many of the reviews mention the neighborhood, but it is only a block from the Marina and the location is excellent and we went walking every morning. We mainly stayed here because of proximity to Napa Valley and Sonoma, but we found out that we could walk 10 minutes to the ferry so we decided to spend an amazing day in San Francisco, it was so easy. We did spend a lot of time in Napa Valley and Sonoma. The drive is 30-45 minutes depending on where you go. At the end of long day you can also walk down to the Mare Island brewing company and sit on the bay. It was a good stay

Wonderful space to call home for a few days
This boutique bungalow had everything we needed to feel comfy and relaxed during our stay!!!
While the surrounding neighborhood has something to be desired, we felt very much at home while in our bungalow. We stayed for 5 days and cooked breakfast and dinner every day at the bungalow - it was delightful, and in doing so - we were able to splurge on other things on our vacation like horseback riding at a vineyard, nice wine tastings, and a beautiful convertible to drive around Cali.
Enjoy your stay - it’s lovely!

Nice Stay
Enjoyed the stay and the bungalow. It was very clean and welcoming. The neighborhood could have been slightly better (although that's not on the fault of the owner). In addition the bathtub plug was not working and was unable to keep water in the tub while bathing. I only stayed for two nights so it wasn't worth contacting the owner about. Otherwise I would stay again.

Comfortable, clean, quiet spot
The bungalow was clean and on a quiet street just 2 blocks from the marina area. Communication with Meehyun was easy and clear. Plenty of space for the two of us. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay!
The property was great! Everything was very clean and the manager was really good at communicating with us. The location in California was good but the seafood needs some improvement for being so close to the coast. Great stay and great people!

An Excellent Stay in Vallejo
My friends and I loved staying at this Waterfront Boutique Bungalow. It was spacious and very accommodating for the three of us. Very close to restaurants in Benicia and only about 30 minutes from Napa. Meehyun quickly responded to any questions we had. Would stay again and recommend to anyone!
