This delightful two day stay was a perfect getaway. The hosts provide a very well appointed kitchen, plenty of towels and comfortable beds. Loved listening to the loons as the sun rose over the lake while enjoying my morning tea. What a treat to start our day with a swim and finish the day with cocktails and appetizers by the fire pit. Missed our chance to use the kayaks but that will be an incentive to return.

My husband and I traveled with our 2 year old and truly enjoyed our stay! It was so nice letting our child play in our own little area in the clean clear water. The sand was great for digging, building sand castles, and laying out. The deck was great for hanging out on. There was also a picnic table with an umbrella and grill right next to the house. I loved that the gas firepit was on the other side of the house in an area that was also sandy and away from the other cottage. We were disappointed that there was no gas left in the tank so, unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy that part of the house. The house was stocked with all basic things needed in a kitchen. A nice addition was the freezer that had an ice maker. The livingroom had a comfy couch with two recliners. Each room had an AC which would be great for warmer nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again!

Beautiful time. Perfect for a small family. Very clean and had lots of pits annd pans for cooking. (And grill) Enjoyed kayaking, fishing, floating in the clean clear water. The water entrance has some rocks so water shoes for people who may be sensitive , but we didn’t mind ! We loved everything about this place and want to book again !!

The immersion in nature. Beach right out the door. Sunset firepit location. Early morning kayak excursions around the bay.

Great spot on the lake. Perfect for a family of 4 with 2 kids. Unfortunately, there's a major plumbing issue that needs to be fixed.

Can’t beat the views. Overall quiet area. Soothing to listen to the loons at night. Sunfish can be seen swimming in the area to the right of the fire pit as you approach it at the rear of the cottage when the water is very still. We counted about eight of them.
Plenty of chairs of different types including the rocking “love-seat”. Kayaks available. Just be mindful of power boats passing by unless you like the big waves they sometimes make!
We found the kayaks a lot of fun to use.
Big area around the cottage, various places to sit and get varied views. Nice picnic table with Umbrella too. Great place for a relaxing getaway!

Second time staying here at Bayside Sunshine. We had no neighbors for our whole stay, so it was very peaceful and relaxing.
Pros: liked all the improvements made since last time (new carpet, 2 new chairs for seating in living room area, ACs in both bedrooms, etc.) The area and the views are spectacular. All the wildlife, the sunrises, the sunsets, the quiet - it was great.
Cons: didn't seem quite as clean as last time. Ants (in the kitchen area specifically) were relentless. Appears that most of the corners of this place were skipped when cleaning too --> not the biggest deal, but it was noticeable.
Also, I really missed the hammock that was outside on the sand last time I was here. Would love to come back and see another one sometime!

Can’t beat a lake front cottage with all the amenities needed to enjoy the 4th of July!

Loved our week long stay. Would recommend to anyone.
Here are the cons:
There needs to be a new screen door placed as it did not close all the way and ants can easily get in. Someone dropped off ant traps while we were there so this is a known issue.
I wish there was instructions on how to use the TV as we had a rainy day and would have liked to have used it but never got it to work.
The listing stated coffee and towels were provided. No coffee and no beach towels though there were plenty of bath towels.
Where you have to park is a stones throw away. Only a con as when we arrived it was raining and had a lot of things to carry in.
Beach was great, perfect for swimming. Kayaks were wonderful. Place was very clean. No other cons, plan on staying there again!!

The location of this place is great! Right on the water and easy to get to. The cottage is small but big enough for a couple or a small family and has everything you need.
My biggest complaint is that there is ONE air conditioner in the living room and it is not enough to cool down the entire house. We had to have our son (18 months old) sleep in the living room since his bedroom was too hot and even with the AC running all day at its highest setting, it only got down to 78 degrees by his bedtime (the bedrooms were mid-80s). This cottage desperately needs some central air conditioning for those hot summer days. Another thing to note is that the beach area in front of the cottage is very rocky (hard to walk on without shoes), but there is a beach area close by for guests that you can go to swim and would be better for small children.
We arrived on a Saturday and the lake was VERY busy with boats and jet skis. Boats gathered at the barge and played loud music until about 10:00ish that night. Sunday was a bit toned down but still a fair number of boats and jet skis. Definitely not the same “party type” feel as Saturday. By Monday it was a completely calm and tranquil lake with hardly any water activity at all.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn’t come back to this cottage at the height of the summer without better air conditioning.

Other than the TV going dark on day 2 (and not coming back), and internet being temperamental, the location is spectacular and unit well organized. If only we had planned for the TV/Internet.

The setting was gorgeous .Cottage was spotless. Enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the water. The water was very clean and we saw loons and an eagle. Excellent restaurants were very close and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. Overall a lovely fall getaway.

Perfect for our family with two young kids. No need to lug everything to and from the beach as the lake is right outside your door. Quiet with plenty of privacy, and very comfortable and cozy. Convenient location. Can’t wait to visit again.

What a great getaway
I haven't taken a vacation for myself in such a long time, and Bayside Sunshine was just the ticket. I loved that the property was nestled on the corner of Leavitt Bay, and we did not have any neighbors the entire weekend! I basically lived in the hammock. And the views...I mean, it was all so breathtaking. Really - I could go on and on about the views, but I digress.
There were just a couple things I wanted to mention about the property. I was a little nervous about cleanliness because I feel like lake houses have a reputation for being a bit dirty and unkept, but this place was pretty well-maintained. We did find a couple dead bugs in the kitchen and on one of the beds, but that's it. The bugs on the outside, however, were relentless at times! FYI for those wanting to go around this time of year...bring your repellent!
Most days the lake was not too bad with boats and jet skis, but the weekends can be a bit noisier. Just an FYI.
I was pleasantly surprised about all the things that came with the place, especially the kitchen - fully equipped! I wish there had been like 1 or 2 more rolls of toilet paper for the bathroom and maybe 1 or 2 more trash bags, but no big deal to get some more. We had a bit of trouble with the wifi and the TV in the beginning, but when all else fails, turn the devices off and on again!
I had also read the past reviews about the beds being super uncomfortable, but these beds were great! Not one complaint about them. Slept very well and was able to keep cool as well.
Communication-wise, if you need to get in touch with the company while you are there, calling or texting the number they provide worked well for me. Beforehand, however, I could not get much communication, but it all turned out ok.
If I could pick one thing to pass onto the management company, however, it would be the front slider screen door. That thing was terrible. It kept coming off of its tracks no matter what we did and was difficult to manage every day.
All in all, this was a great stay and I've gone into full post-vacation depression. Thank you so much - I will absolutely be back in the future when I need another escape!

Perfect get away!
We had an amazing stay at Bayside Sunshine. We visited the cottage in the fall, and the views were stunning! The lake, mountains, and colorful leaves made for a breath-taking back drop. There was also a propane fire pit on the point of the peninsula that we enjoyed at night. The inside of the cottage was adorable. There was plenty of space and the rooms were impeccably clean. We enjoyed a paddle boat ride in the morning, which was a perfect way to see the sunrise. While visiting Ossipee, we Hiked Mount Shaw and had a delicious dinner at Harley Jacks nearby. This made for a perfect weekend get away!

Just about perfect
I'd have to try pretty hard to find something wrong with this place. I probably put 50 miles on the kayak. Loons are everywhere. It is absolutely beautiful. The house had everything we needed, beds were great, shower pressure was great and hot. We will definitely be booking again.

Great spot!
Great little place with a nice beach! Kitchen has everything you need. It’s small but it works fine for 3-4 people. AC works well but doesn’t really reach the bedrooms. The rooms and atmosphere are very comfortable but the beds have seen better days so bring some extra fluff.

Cozy Cottage
The cottage was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and well stocked with dishes, pots/pans etc. We also loved being right on the lake. Only downside was lake was very busy with boats, jet skis etc

Family of four, we stayed for a long weekend in September 2020. The cottage is cute and the location is beautiful. Very close to the water, with a nice beach area, and extra swimming area around the side, as it is on the end of a small point - isolated on one side. When entering water, a couple feet of rocks/pebbles, then nice sand for 10 yards or so, and then some sparce lake grass pops up (like tall hay, not slimy, and not overwhelming). Also a nice, wide, shared dock for a boat, or fishing. Only disappointment was the overall cleanliness of the cottage upon arrival. Some cob/spider webs with spiders and bugs in the corners. More than a random spider as one would expect. The sheets appeared to be new and washed, but had old stains on them. Fridge was pretty dirty inside. And there was women's underwear in the top drawer of one of the bureaus. Some minor items like falling curtain rod holders. While we were very focused on COVID, and hoping everythign was disinfected, we were more concerned with the dirt once we arrived. We are hopeful that the COVID cleaning occurred since we received several notices regarding the cleaning standards of Vacasa. Overall, it was nothing we could not get past. We were prepared to wipe everything down on a shared rental property. It was just a little worse than expected. All in all, the cottage, and location were worth the stay. And we would go back to this spot.

Wonderful
My family stayed here for four nights and loved every minute of it. The cottage was clean and stocked, and the views were beautiful. My kids loved having a private beach to swim, fish, and be kids. We didn't feel the need to go anywhere, but we were easily able to drive to North Conway for a day or access grocery stores, etc. We hope to be back!

Private getaway
If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is the place for you. It’s located right on the lake and the private beach was amazing, the water was clear and amazing swimming. The cottage was a little small but enough for my spouse and I, any more people and it would have been a little crowded. The communication with management was a little rough, we were not really sure where to park our vehicle or dispose of our trash, our tv was not working on day one and after attempting daily communication with management it was finally fixed after 3 days. I would definitely rent this cottage again for the privacy, swimming and the amazing lake views, that’s exactly what we needed.
