Good food and great atmosphere
No en-suite facilities

The evening meal was exceptional, beautiful location and comfortable beds.
The only reason that I could not give a recommendation for a romantic stay, was the shared bathroom.

Quaint , clean and homely
No staff on over night , we had a fire alarm go off at 5 am , fire service attended, no one to call to get in or to reset fire panel , 1 hr in the cold ! No kettle or long life milk , in the kitchen to warm up with a cuppa afterwards, signal poor for mobiles and no land line available when need ring emergency services! Had to walk to get coverage

The welcome lady was very nice
The fact there was nobody staying overnight. We were left on our own.
Room was dark . Not bright enough to read. Bedding etc was well passed its sell by date.
It said tea and coffee making facilities which I assumed would be in the room , but were down the corridor in a kitchen. Had to ask barmaid for milk as none there.
We had to let ourselves out in the morning which was not acceptable.

Nice little stream just outside under the bridge. There are two modern bathrooms both with a shower.
All the corridors and room were on the wonk a lot of subsidence in the building but I guess that’s expected with an old house, no issue made it a unique property. Room wall paper was very dark aswell. One of the shower room didn’t have proper curtains only netting so outside can see you in the shower unless you put a towel over the window

People were great
Shared bathroom, the bed was comfortable but sloping backwards

No Wi-Fi and don’t sever food until Wednesday onwards.

The shared bathrooms were clean and modern

Plenty of car park spaces
WiFi terrible for work purposes. No tea or coffee in the room and hardly anything in the kitchen. Heating was turned off and it was 7c outside. I know there is no tv but at least a radio as there’s hardly any or no WiFi to play music. Food was advertised as available and kitchen was closed. Hard to justify the cost for the limited facilities.

A real ‘make yourself at home’ vibe. I am pretty certain I was the only one staying at that time so I had sole use of a full bathroom, full kitchen with all facilities and and very big double room with a single. It is all very clean, tidy, warm, and has a comfortable, country feel that made it feel like a home from home for me. I was pleasantly surprised that it seems to be a Young Farmer type of pub which is exactly where I would be back at home in Cambridge if I wasn’t working over the bank holiday! The village is beautiful, the listed bridge is amazing to see and hearing the river is very special. Parking is great, I managed to squeeze a spot in the afternoon when the weather was nice as the place was very busy with people in the beer garden and outside the pub, really nice to see! I will most definitely be back for a weekend soon without work commitments to enjoy the area more.
The bed in room 1 will squeak if you so much as look at it, but it was very comfortable, the door lock to room 1 also took some figuring out but that only confirms the ‘home from home’ feel as in our thatched cottage in Cambridge, everything has to be made to fit the building. The door at the bottom of the exit stairs was a little difficult when carrying a bag or two but I can’t see any other way of securing the upstairs so it is something that just needs to be accepted, would cause more of a difficulty for anyone that finds stairs a challenge. No complaints though, just some points.

Room was very comfortable, lovely and warm.
Excellent evening meal in the pub.
Easy parking.
Nice people.
Very sparse facilities, none in room. Shared kitchen had no milk and very old coffee. Also check out wasn't explained so didn't really know what to do, nobody was around when we left so left key in the door to our room and hoped for the best.

Not a lot, sorry this place was not for us,
Sadly, everything. Steep steps, odd steps causing trip hazard, changed room to avoid these, bed awful, small mega creaky on slightest move. Menu ok, but not unless you can eat carbs, we can't. What we ate was good. Very sad

lovely countryside. friendly staff. amazing food in the restaurant. country/homely feel.
no milk in the hotel side’s kitchen to make tea/coffee - milk that was in the fridge was out of date and had gone off.

Really nice friendly old style local pub, the lack of mobile signal and iffy wifi was initially an issue but as the evening progressed that was a real positive as people actually talked to each other. Really pleasant stay. Many thanks
The shared bathrooms and no TV but in hindsight it really was a bit of a 1st world issue. To be fair there was nothing that should change

Room was big, clean and stylish. Had two choices of shared bath rooms, which was in great condition and a use of a shared kitchen, everything but a microwave. The pub was cute, had a nice inside and outside space. Next to a lovely public walk with a stream.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't aware the pub would not be serving food in the afternoon. I also think offering the choice of breakfast would be nice but understand it may not be busy enough for them to warrant.

Well maintained and cosy. The staff were very friendly and
Wi-Fi reception is not good in certain areas of the property.
The Wi-Fi coverage should be available all over the property

well kept and maintained.
Property was cool and the operators very friendly.
I went down for a drink at the pub below and a patron got talking to me and asked me if I had money to take care of my family. I am African. He offered to give me money to pay my bills.
I think the locals are not used to other nationalities. They think coloured people need humanitarian support and this is quite rude.
I had to check out of the next day even though I paid for two nights because of the apparent disregard to minorities.
I would not encourage anyone who is a minority to stay there to avoid these kinds of situations.
