We loved the decor and ambiance of the house. Seen doe and baby fawn. Loved the closeness to the main street and things to see. Also appreciated the info from previous quests. It was perfect for our 2 night stay in Manitou Springs. Thank you for sharing your home.

Host was very responsive, location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Best for two couples and worked great for my wife and I. The town is a lot of fun with shops and great restaurants.

One of our party was injured due to unsafe conditions with rotten wood in several places (deck and front porch). We went to the highest deck through the master suite, one of us sat on a chair, and it immediately went through a rotten board on the deck, causing a fall with injuries.
We have contacted the host and Vrbo with no response or resolution. We contacted Vrbo multiple times, and while we were promised that we would be called and emailed back, we have received neither. The injuries ruined plans for the rest of our vacation.

This house was fantastic and the location was amazing. We came to Manitou for the wine festival and had no idea how close the house would be to it! We had the best time and we loved sitting out on the upper deck together. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed the convenience of this property - Close to town and surrounding attractions. Not as clean as we like (trash still in the cans in the kitchen and noticed the floor was very dirty when we dropped something and had get on our knees to pick it up).
Over all a good stay

The house was perfect for our needs. The location was great. From the front porch we could watch the climbers ascend Manitou Incline each afternoon. The house was clean and comfortable. We would recommend it to friends and family.

Loved our stay here! We had great weather so we were able to utilize the outdoor spaces as well. We played games and had cocktails on the 3 tiered deck and met the friendly neighbors and their cute pups. The house itself was so unique (hate cookie cutter models), both interior and exterior. Beds were very comfortable, and the upstairs offered a AC unit that we used because it did get warm up there. It was a nice walk to downtown, very doable for able bodied people. Walking the hill back up to the house could be difficult for some. I would suggest to offer some more shampoo, condition, and body wash; even just a middle of the road brand. I would highly recommend family and friends to stay here and we will probably come back at some point and stay again! Thank you for opening up your house for the greater good!

Stayed a week by myself here to soak in the mountain countryside. There’s not much to do in Manitou Springs, however. Stopped by the Garden of the Gods—about the only interesting mountain landscape to really explore. The house itself was nice and cozy. The basement bathroom is a little too cramped. The back patio areas and upstairs walkout are nice.

What a nice home in the middle of Manitou Springs! Convenient and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. Everything we needed was available for our trip. The only downside side is that the house is really cold downstairs and really warm upstairs during cold weather. It has great parking and large yard and back patio. We would definitely consider staying again.

We stayed here for the weekend during the Pikes Peak Ascent. The location was perfect for access to the race and anything else we needed. The house was fun and we were just disappointed we didn't have time to enjoy everything (especially the decks) as the race took up most of our time. The house was well stocked and we were very comfortable.

The property was great. Perfect for a group of 4 adults. Walking distance to downtown where there is tons of great food, entertainment and shopping. It’s alittle over a mile to the Incline and Cog Railroad. The property was clean, towels soft, and has a great outdoor deck.

We were moderately happy with our stay here. The house is old and unique with a lot of charm - very cute inside and out. The location is great, very walkable to downtown Manitou and short drive to all the attractions. Two big things that bothered us: first, it was not disclosed that 1 bedroom was upstairs and 1 downstairs (which itself would have been fine) but that both bedrooms had doors to the outside. This should definitely be in the listing as we did not feel comfortable with our young children on a different floor with an outlet outside. Second, they need a better cleaning crew. When we arrived the kitchen floor was not swept, there was hair in the sink drain, and trash left in the bedroom. The patio furniture was yucky, covered in dirt, pollen and spiderwebs. Not stuff you want to be cleaning yourself when you first arrive on vacation. Upstairs bed was comfortable but downstairs not so much, pillows were flat as pancakes. Living room was comfy and kitchen fully stocked if you want to cook. Overall, I would recommend this property but only if reassured there was a more thorough cleaning ahead of time.

The house was very cool - old and unique, but clean and the plumbing, etc, were up to date. The house was warm and tidy. We loved being walking distance to downtown and playgrounds.

Nice place to stay, was told there was a keurig, it was not there, but coffee pot was available. We liked being walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs and the free shuttle to pike peak and incline excursions. We had a great stay.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. It is a perfect house for 2 couples. The main floor bathroom is very small but it did the job. Being able to walk to downtown Manitou was amazing. Such a fun place! It is a great location for so many activities in the area.

Great Location, Adorable old remodeled home
The house is adorable with amazing patio space in the front and back. We spent most of our time outside. We stayed in Mid-June and it was a bit hot. Luckily, they had air-conditioning on the main floor and somewhat upstairs. The air-conditioning units needed filter changes and the one upstairs was not very efficient. If you are staying in the summer months, I recommend getting there as soon as you can and turning on the air before exploring the town. It was unbearably hot upstairs until about 2am since we didn't get into the property until 8pm. Check in was a bit of a hassle, since I didn't receive the email sent by some third party, but the owner texted me promptly back with the code. The electrical was to be expected of an old home, a bit glitchy. Overall, it was cute and a great space for 4 adults and 2 kids. The location was perfect for exploring downtown!

Charming house with great location
My family loved being able to walk to downtown Manitou Springs (including my four year old). The house itself is charming (we appreciate a good old house--we live in one that was built in 1906), but there were a number of small issues that added up to be annoying considering the price of stay.
The dishwasher wasn't working during (a note apologizing for this was posted), the wifi was spotty (making searches for nearby restaurants difficult), and the refrigerator stopped keeping anything cold a day into our stay. Additionally, I personally didn't find the mattress upstairs to be very comfortable (soft and sunken).
The quirks of this beautiful house are something you'd get used to if you lived there (upstairs temp for sleeping feels too warm when downstairs temp feels very cool). I can't say that for the price I'd stay at this house again.

It was Okay
It was just ok. The house itself is adorable and historic. However, this comes with some downfalls. If you want the downstairs to be comfortable as far as heat, the upstairs (where the master bedroom is) will be roasting hot - above 80 degrees when downstairs is set at 70. We had to sleep with the door cracked and windows open. The pull out couch/bed is broken and uneven. Our small child was able to sleep on it because he's little and we were able to prop up the back with lots of pillows, but there's no way 2 people could sleep on that without falling into the back couch cushions. The beds throughout the house are the harder memory foam beds which is not our style. We had family movie nights 2 nights - the first night Netflix worked - the second night it did not work. Internet issues possibly? One positive was that there was no toaster at the house like the listing said, and they did bring one over the next morning. That was very appreciated.

Location, location, and service!
The location is great. Close enough to town to enjoy what Manitou has to offer and far enough from the business. There are so many places to sit, relax, chat, or read. And, the local contact/property manager was very responsive with any questions. We were thrilled with the ease and comfort of everything.

This is a very nice place to stay with 2 couples. It is close to town. It is very clean and the patio is really nice. Everything was fantastic. It was a bit hard for my dad to get upstairs and out to the deck. He is 78 and has trouble walking. But the ground floor bedroom was fine for him and my mom.It was a really cute place to stay!

Cute and comfortable.
The house is adorable. We loved the front porch, the privacy of the upstairs loft, and the tiered decks. There was plenty of room for Mom, Dad, and two teens. The house is a 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants.

Nice Place but....
We have a few recommendations. The wood burning stove in the living is a trip hazard. All 4 of us tripped on the platform at least once. Don't leave mouse traps in the bathroom downstairs. The sofa in the living room needs replacing. Steps up stairs are too steep, let guests know before hand no handrail. All filters in the air conditioners needed to be cleaned the light was blinging when we arrived. We cleaned them for you. No TV in the downstairs bedroom. Could upgrade direct TV so there are more channels. In general it could have cleaner. Beds were good.
