Everything about our stay was fantastic, especially the food! Staff very professional, especially Brandon who was amazing.
Nothing!
4.3
The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice
Location a little out of the way but lovely
The cleaner could do a better job, bins not emptied every day, towels not changed but was clean on arrival

We cannot comment on the restaurant as our time table for the weekend precluded it. We enjoyed our breakfast and I have no doubt that we would have also enjojed a dinner had our itinerary permitted.
Found nothing not to dislike.

Nice room. Good meals. Huge car park.
4.3
Really nice Inn and very helpful and friendly staff good food
4.3
Great room really clean with beautiful bathroom, staff so friendly and vegan food options
We had no hot water in the morning to have showers and had no way of contacting anyone.

The food at the Sea Trout is really excellent. We had one of the best steaks I have had in quite some time and a very nice sea bass another nice. The breakfast was also excellent. So ten out of ten for food and service. All the staff were very helpful and efficient.
The rooms are a little tired and the noise insulation between rooms is poor. In addition the duvets are too narrow for the bed.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful. Very comfortable room, great shower. The dinner I had was incredible! (And the gin and tonic!) I will definitely be coming back.
Nothing could have been better, it was a perfect stay :)

Food was great, staff were great,
Was in a phone network deadzone (not their fault) but because of this Wi-Fi should’ve been decent l, in my room it was non existent and seen a satellite symbol on my phone that I never knew was a thing 🤷🏻♂️but Wi-Fi worked down in bar/lounge area

Nice location

Wonderful, clean, spacious rooms in a beautiful location - also nice and cosy which was perfect given how cold it was outside. The staff were extremely friendly and happy to accommodate any additional needs, and also helped take our bags to the room which was appreciated. Beds were very comfortable, and nice bathrooms too. The included breakfast was also lovely.

Food was beautiful, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect stay. X
Nothing not to like

Breakfast was good. I asked for meal that was not on the menu and they were happy to oblige. Room was good size and the windows looked out over garden.
As an Aussie I missed having a fridge in the room.
4.3
All good. Staff very friendly
Food very good, although a little pricey.
Shower not consistent temperature and some light bulbs didn't work. Location access not straightforward.

The evening meals were very good - fish was cooked beautifully. Lovely to be able to enjoy a real pub as well as great accommodation. Staff very helpful and friendly.
4.3
Beautiful garden area and staff were lovely
Local was out if the way, the shower door didn’t shut and the trap was full of black hair, on arrival we could see the toilet seat was stuck on with 2 white sticky pads when you sat in the toilet it kept moving .we stayed 4 days and no one came in to make the beds or clean the room, they just emptied the waste osier bin

Location was lovely. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food very tasty. The room and bathroom were simple but comfortable and a very good price - we got the last room available for the dates we needed. This is a very well run little gem.
We stayed during the recent mini heatwave and a little room fan would have helped. They may have had one available but I didn't go to ask as was middle of night - I should have thought to ask before going to bed.
4.3
Good breakfast. Excellent dinner
Sound insulation between rooms was poor.
4.3
Beautiful rooms. Fabulous restaurant and bar. The staff were fabulous.
The only issue was the shower in our room (3). It kept going from freezing cold to scolding hot. Could be dangerous for a child or an elderly person.

Everything.

Excellent Staff. Delicious Food. 2 Good nights sleep
Everything was very good.

Fantastic Location
Lack of breakfast within price and the TV didnt work

Lovely cosy accommodation, well appointed, staff were lovely.
The sofa bed was far too small for our kids who were 13 and 10. So our youngest ended up sleeping on the armchair! I would say the sofa bed is OK for two small children but not bigger kids.

Lovely old pub! Surprised at how lovely the room was for the price we paid. Would love to have eaten here, but we were meeting friends at Riverford Organic Cafe(very close by) for a birthday celebration. A big thank you to Matt who checked us in, He tried to get us a taxi to the restaurant, but they are pretty scarce, so we drove there and he kindly offered to take us back the next morning to collect our car if we were able to get a lift back!
Noisy at night. We could hear the bathroom light switch and tap going on in the room next door. All the floorboards and doors are so squeaky, you could hear people walking along the corridor. It is a very old building, and this hasn’t put us off, we would definitely stay here again, but we’ll ask for a room at the far end of the corridor!
4.3
Very well run and excellent service
4.3
The staff were very friendly and very welcoming, they make the place what it is.
Probably needs a little updating, decorating and better mattress, bedding and towels. WIFI is poor except in the restaurant/garden.
4.3
Nicest room ever stayed in with wonderful staff. Have traveled the world and this was the best.
Nothing

Staff were fantastic and friendly as we're the locals! Food was lovely and a great location.
If I have any criticism its the coffee and tea not being included in the breakfast price and no price on show and the breakfast portions are a bit miserly for the money to be honest, £12 for one of everything plus the coffee is a bit much.

We loved staying at the annex it was so lovely , we was able to check in early and was very welcomed By Matt who was lovely our breakfast on both mornings was yummy , would definitely come back

No breakfast included in the high price. Lovely location though and nice garden.
No room service! Very little on complimentary tray and this was not replenished the next day as our room was not serviced. This is the second time we have stayed and this has happened. The first time the owner muttered something about not getting back to normal yet because of covid (this was well after). This time we approached one of the bar staff about it, as there was no one else to speak to, and she was very defensive. Said that it is not included normally and if we wanted our rooms serviced we should have asked for it. No apologies, no solutions offered, no follow up courtesy checks. We will not be staying here again. We have eaten a meal here before and the food was excellent, and I feel that this is their priority, and the guests can just get on with it. Most people on a weekend would be staying just the one night after eating a meal so the servicing of the room would not be an issue. It seems as long diners are impressed it doesn't matter about the guests. A request: please look after your staying guests and give them the excellent service you say you are going to do on your website!
