The staff were very kind, very sweet.
The place is the oldest hotel in the area. I appreciated this. And it was clean. The cleaning lady kept checking on me to see if I needed anything. I stayed for 6 nights during a retreat.
The food for breakfast was very good, they were sweet and attentive.
The only thing is my room was very loud, as I could hear the bar and restaurant downstairs. So perhaps have a white noise machine and ear plugs. I believe they did provide earplugs and that was appreciated it.
The drinks were good too.
The other thing is that the front desk would open a bit late, so if I did need something I didn't know who to ask.
Overall it was a good stay,

Amazing hotel in the centre of Glastonbury. Minutes from other pubs, cafés and eateries. Though the hotel provides a great bar and restaurant. Very, very dog friendly. My dog was spoilt by the staff and was allowed in all areas. Highly recommended.

The people were very nice, food was good, the issue isbthat the room was not cleaned. They propably have not hoover the carpet in over a year, unfer the bed was really dirty. Accumulated dust and things from other guests. It is a shame to see a beatiful property poorly taken care of.

As it happens often with rooms in pubs, they look veeeeery tired, almost old. Nothing fancy about them.

We loved the history and character of this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the one thing that let it down was the uncomfortable beds. We stayed in the Nuns room, the beds and the pillows were so hard we didnt have a great night's sleep. A really great place, but we were glad we were only sleeping there for 1 night.

2nd time we've stayed, both times in the old part of the hotel. wonky floors, everything creaks, ancient furniture - it's awesome. and always friendly service.
Oh and a nice breakfast too

This hotel is full of character and history but is need of some TLC. Stayed in a family room which was a good size but in need of refurbishment. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was musty and in need of redecoration.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and town, so out of this world. Glastonbury Tor was a bit strenuous walk but definitely worth it due to the views at the top.

"Reception area" smelled like the restrooms next to it. Came back down the dangerous winding staircase 3 times trying to figure out where our room was. Tiny, dilapidated old room facing a noisy back area. Room was suffocating hot. Bathroom ceiling looked like it was going to fall in. I know this is a very old building, but as a hotel it should be comfortable.

Great hotel, absolutely dripping in atmosphere.
Manage your expectations this hotel is hundreds
of years old, the floors will creak, the stairs are uneven and the windows aren't double glazed,.all of which are massive plusses in my opinion.
Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice.
The restaurant is small and fills up quickly so ensure you book a table, and this was one of the minuses for me, usually when I check in to a hotel and they have a popular restaurant, I'm normally asked "will you be dining with us tonight?"
We didn't get that and came down to a 45 minute wait for a table, so our first night we eat elsewhere.
Every thing else was great, it really is a unique place to stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights while at the festival. We couldn’t pick up the key until the previous guests had left and the guy on reception was lovely and very accommodating. He gave us a call as soon as the key was handed in so we could get to the festival ASAP in the morning. Really appreciated this!
The hotel is full of character, like stepping back into a medieval village or something! Really lovely. The rooms themselves are a little dated and could benefit from a freshen up but we were literally in the room to sleep and then out again. Bed was comfy but be aware the church clock chimes regularly so take earplugs if a light sleeper.
There’s an outdoor key to get in the back door after hours but we were back before midnight both nights and the door was still open. There’s a car park right behind the hotel, literally seconds from the back door. Its £6.50 for 24 hours and you can pay on app. You could also easily find parking on a residential street nearby if preferred.
Breakfast was great and always served very quickly. As a vegan I was happy with the cooked breakfast and provision of plant milks.
Overall location couldn’t be beaten, staff were lovely, great breakfast, no complaints, would definitely stay again.

An Eighteenth century Inn. A fun place to stay with a standard English pub menu.

It was such a fun experience staying in this historic Inn! The decor maintained the historical feel, and it was a fun place to stay while visiting Glastonbury. We were able to walk everywhere (including to the top of the Tor - which seemed dauting but was not that bad!)
For vegetarians - we had a great plant based burger for dinner at the restaurant, and the English Breakfast included in the morning was a very hearty way to start the day. There is also a spectacular Vegan Cafe just down the street as well.

I have always wanted to stay in this historic hotel built in 1497. Bucket list ticked.

The hotel room wasn't really fit to accommodate guests . We brought this up with the manager quite frankly didn't seem that interested in our complaint . He just said it was an old property, with no apology or even an attempt to move us to another room
The fact that water was seen running down the wall with the plaster falling off and towels on the floor to mop it up, A hole in the window, damp coming in everywhere, extractor fan not working making it feel very damp, Stai Stains on the carpet and the chair, a a mattress which seems it had no springs in it was not suitable.
This is all unacceptable for the amount of money that we paid

Fabulous historic hotel with tremendous charm in the heart of quirky Glastonbury. We had a large room with a beautiful four poster bed. The bathroom was modern (except for the separate hot & cold water taps on the sink). I was not comfortable with the intrusive information requests and privacy waivers required to use the hotel Wi-Fi so did not use it.
