A great place to stay

Great location in a beautiful area. Can walk into Akaroa off road where there is lots to do. Very well kitted out kitchen, nicely furnished and comfy beds. I would love to stay here again.

The provided pillows gave every single one of us (including our children) extremely sore necks. If we hadn't brought 2 spare pillows, to share across different nights, there would have been some serious issues. I would call this a safety hazard.

Absolutely lovely.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location with absolutely everything you need. Spotlessly clean and comfortable - well stocked kitchen as well. We absolutely loved it.

We loved everything but if we have to say something the water pressure wasn’t very strong - didn’t cause any problems but meant longer showers on hair washing days.

I liked the location, the house, the picturesque surroundings, the privacy, and the walks.

The location. It was private, picturesque and peaceful, yet with a village atmosphere and the town in walking distance. Native birds and sunshine, with hilltop walks close by. Also the hammock!

Tranquil indeed and very comfortable king bed

Tranquil indeed. Cosy cottage in quiet location a few minutes drive from town. Very comfortable king bed. Very comfortable sofas with optional leg rests. Kitchen is functional (but somewhat worn) and very well equipped (to the point of being over-equipped and cluttered). Pleasant outlook onto large well maintained garden. Great star gazing from the middle of the lawn at night. Detailed information and instructions provided. Very sensible key arrangements to prevent accidentally getting locked out.

Shower over bath without any handholds for getting in and out presenting a challenge, with risk of slipping. Laundry is shared with other cottages.

Beautiful and comfortable stay

Really nice, cosy yet spacious accommodation, very well equiped (also for kids), comfortable beds, big private outdoor area and a beautiful little walk toward the beach/ Akaroa.

The cycades were a bit noisy but we got used to that after a while (and apparently they are everywhere in NZ).

A very happy family weekend in a special place

Breakfast wasn't included. The location is stunning - plenty of space and everything we could possible want. While being close to Akaroa ammenities, it is out of the way, quiet and delightful. We will certainly use it again when next we visit Akaroa.

Lovely weekend away with family.

Location was nice and secluded, ease of drive to Akaroa, we’ll set up, loads of toys for the grandchildren. The winter bedding was a great thought for a cold and frosty stay. Great being on one floor with children.

It took awhile to work out how to get the tv and wifi to work. It would be good to have a folder of things to do and don,t do besides the emailed list. Would have liked to stay longer

the property is in a stunning tranquil location and was very comfortable and tastefully furnished it was also well equipped

a very minor detail but it would have been good to know the coffee machine needed beans the nespresso machine was broken but we weren’t aware so bought the wrong things but everything else was fine

A gorgeous stay in Akaroa.

We loved this holiday home, located in a gorgeous location and kitted out well. Would recommend this place for a weekend in Akaroa, perfect for families. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with.

We were surprised to see two of the beds had weight limits, fortunately we re-arranged ourselves so that this suited but it could have presented a problem as we were a group of friends.

Great location for families, would definitely stay again.

Amazing lawn and outside area and so well equiped for families. Plenty of toys, lego, books, games and puzzles as well as outside play items - didn’t need to bring a thing to occupy our 3 and 7yr olds. Kids and adults loved the walk to Childrens Bay.

The sculpture trail was worth the walk for the view at the end.

The laundry facilities were out of order but explained why afterwards :)
