About this house rental
Copper Porch Cottage is right on the water in a tranquil location but close to restaurants and attractions. Oaklawn and downtown are 10-15 minutes and restaurants and groceries are about 5 minutes away, all on easy main roads. The furnishings, parking, and storage were developed with eight people in mind, but it’s cozy enough for a couple. Watch the geese and ducks fly in, kayak the large inlet and spend evenings around the fire pit at this private location. As an added health and safety precaution no guests arrive on the same day that another departs.
Copper Porch Cottage gets its name from the screened porch where you can talk for hours protected from mosquitos! The screening is copper, which is the best material for viewing, but it is fragile, so please do not touch it or lean anything against it. There’s a table for four for dining al fresco and a cushioned sofa and chair. A grill with propane provided is located down the stairs off the screened porch. Outdoor living continues at the lake with a fire pit with masonry seating area. We provide firewood, so bring on the smores! The 16’ x 12’ dock with boat mooring gives you a front-row seat to enjoy the evening, swim, or go fishing. Do not dive from the dock as its deepest water is about 4 feet; we recommend entering and exiting the water at the boat ramp or from the dock. Utilize the private boat ramp right outside the back door by bringing your small boat, personal watercraft, or SUP. The ramp is best for smaller boats; there is a public boat ramp 5 minutes away for larger boats. There’s parking for your truck and trailer as well. [PLEASE NOTE: from early-mid November through mid-March Lake Hamilton is lowered several feet for dock maintenance. There is still plenty of water to boat and fish, but the boat mooring on the swim dock is not available. We are happy to message you a photo of the lake during those months.]
Two living areas means a cozy, gas fireplace den for playing board games and another sitting area to watch the game on a 50" TV. The open concept makes viewing the TV possible at the dining table, if your mom allows that sort of thing! Like to cook? We’ve got you covered with a fully outfitted kitchen with granite countertops, 12-cup drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, ice maker and blender. The gas cooktop is four burners with a griddle in the center and below is a 30” gas oven.
The 1900 square foot cottage has two king bedrooms and a four-bed XL bunk room, all with blackout curtains so you can get some sleep. There’s an on-demand water heater, so there’s a constant supply of hot water for 8 guests to take a hot shower one after the other. The main level king bedroom is an en suite with a tub shower, double sinks and a 32” smart TV with cable. The bunk room mattresses are extra-large twins with mattress toppers, which comfortably accommodate adults. Host a girl’s weekend because the bunks have nice stairs, not a ladder, to the top bunks. The TV in the bunk room is for streamed content, no cable. The hall bathroom next to the bunk room has a walk-in shower with glass door and plenty of towel rods and hooks. Down the stairs at lake level is a very private king bedroom with club chairs, a 52” smart TV with cable, a full bathroom, and a covered porch. We recommend that children do not sleep downstairs as there is a door leading outside to the porch that is 40 feet from the lake. This is a split-level home with most of the rooms on the main level and only this private suite downstairs.
In order to keep an instant booking with a pet, the renter must message the host with the breed and size of the dog. The dog fee is $150 per dog with a maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other pets are allowed.
Regarding accessibility, there are three steps from the carport into the house on the main level, and once inside there is a set of stairs down to one of the king bedrooms and bathroom. There is a sidewalk leading down the side of the house to the exterior entrance of the downstairs bedroom and to the boat ramp and lake. The sidewalk is too steep for a wheelchair without a VERY strong helper. You can also reach the grill, lake and fire pit via a set of stairs from the screened porch.
We do have external security cameras.
At this time our maximum stay is 4 weeks. We offer a 10% discount for weekly stays. Please contact us about discounts for reservations that are 2 weeks or longer.

Fabulous property! Communication with the host was prompt and she kept us informed of the power situation as the storms caused some issues before we arrived. The amenities were superb and the kitchen was fully stocked with more gourmet utensils then our home! We enjoyed seeing the "before" pictures and were so impressed by the remodel of this vacation home. Truly outdid yourselves with everything. The location is perfect, we loved the use of the kayaks and can't wait to visit again! Thank you!

My family and I rented this cabin for the Great American Eclipse (April 2024). We loved the property and it definitely enhanced our experience. The property has been renovated beautifully and was clean and inviting upon our arrival. My adult children really enjoyed the kayaks, and being on Lake Hamilton was wonderful. The owner was very easy to communicate with and she addressed all questions quickly. I hope we can stay here again in the future; it was a truly fabulous experience!

This was our first stay here and we had a great time. We were so appreciative of the host helping us make adjustments to our stay due to an illness in the family. I highly recommend you stay here.

We loved our stay at this lake house! The house is beautifully remodeled and has everything you could need. The location is perfect and close to everything that Hot Springs has to offer. We really enjoyed our time on the back screened in porch and the dock off the lake. The owner was great and replied instantly to any questions we had. We hated leaving and will be back again soon!

Our family had a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving holiday here. The house was very well-equipped and cozy and the property manager was amazing!

This house is basically in the city but once you arrive you'll swear you're out in a rural area on the lake. It's fabulous. Everything is well stocked with "nice" cookware, dishes, etc...not the left over pans and dishes you find elsewhere.
The kitchen is gorgeous and more than 2 people can cook in there without bumping into each other...it is very spacious. The house is open and inviting and the screened in patio is so nice overlooking the lake. Plus, being in the city mean deliveries or close to just about anything you want to do (kind of a country feel/with quick city access).
It's a very quiet area so if you are looking for some relaxation with tranquil surroundings this is the place. We will definitely be back!!!

Property was even better than pictured. Very clean and spacious. The outdoor screened in porch was key in enjoying the nice weather without worrying about bugs. Overall great place to take a large family or group of friends.

My husband, sister, her husband, and myself enjoyed our stay tremendously. We found everything to be just as promised. The house was clean, the kitchen well stocked, and there was even laundry soap and softener with the washer and dryer. The thing that impressed us the most I think was how comfortable the beds
were.
I would highly recommend Copper Porch Cottage to anyone planning on visiting Hot Springs, Arkansas.

If you need a vacation with a nice relaxing view, this is your place. This property felt like home on our week stay and the renovations are beautiful. There was plenty of room for everyone to hang out together or separately. There was a supply of pretty much all necessities you should need for your stay. Overall the home was very clean. The only thing I had to clean once we got there was the floors, but everything that was needed to clean was provided. My family enjoyed the kayaks that were supplied, catching fish from the dock, and making smores on the firepit. I also enjoyed the fact that my little fur baby was allowed to stay as well. We had a wonderful time at the Copper Porch Cottage and would definitely stay there again.

I’ve wanted to book this property for two years and I’m so glad our time off finally coincided with the property availability!! It was a perfect location for our birthday celebration. The is a lovely property throughout but the best part by far is the copper screened porch. We enjoyed every meal on the porch without being disturbed by mosquitos and other bugs. The ceiling fans on the porch provided a pleasant breeze. The whole home was immaculate and included all the things we needed for making meals at home on the conveniently located grill. This home is on a quiet cove so we were able to enjoy the water (and the complimentary kayaks) during our stay, The comfy king bed up and king bed down was perfect for our group. The location is convenient to stores and restaurants. The owner provided quick responses to questions and helpful suggestions for food and activities. We’ll definitely book again when we visit Hot Springs.

We had a wonderful time. The property is truly amazing. We really enjoyed staying by the lake. The house had lots of extras that were unexpected, but much appreciated. There was plenty of room for all of our family and our two small dogs. We will definitely want to return again to this property as it was our favorite listing. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

We stay in many nice VRBO properties but this was the most true to its listing of any so far. The house was very nice. Everything worked and was of higher quality than typical (e.g., beds, appliances). There were supplies you don’t always find or have enough of (eg., blankets, toilet paper, towels, coffee filters). Thanks for a great stay!

We celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday with family at this property and had a great time. The home is in a wonderful neighborhood and is extremely nice. Everything was clean and the home had all we needed to enjoy the long holiday weekend. Gale was very helpful and communicative, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks again for a fantastic stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Copper Porch Cottage! We had plenty of room for the whole family, comfortable beds, a fire each night and every thing we needed to cook meals. The complimentary use of 2 kayaks was an added bonus! We are already planning our next trip! Thank you for having us

Perfect experience from booking to check-in and location! Being at the beginning of a cove keep your attention to the beauty of the lake, boat traffic, and scenery but also calm enough yo enjoy a swim and kayaking! Will definitely be back every year!!

My husband, myself, and our two sons (ages 25 and 27) along with their dogs were looking for a relaxing getaway on the lake. This was the perfect place! The dogs were able to swim at the launch and it was easy for us to get in and out of the kayakas that were provided. The home is well equipped with necessities and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Great location on the lake. Close to restaurants by boat or car. Boat dock was good and suitable for a 20ft Wake boat. House was very clean with good layout.

Excellent lakeside home
This house was perfectly located on a quiet cove off the lake. Easy to get to. Very clean. Great for families as there was two masters. Kitchen is stocked very well with good quality pans and utensils. The washer and dryer are new and big. The house also has a tankless water heater!! The porch was so nice as it was huge and screened in, so very nice to sit in the evening. The fire pit was so nice to sit by. There was a paddle board and two kayaks the kids and adults enjoyed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again!

Our family stayed at Copper Porch Cottage between Christmas and New Year's. The house was on a nice sized lot with no neighbor to the north, and was waterfront with a dock and fire pit overlooking the lake. We brought a kayak and paddleboard with us; putting in was convenient. The house has been very nicely remodeled, and was well stocked by the owners (the usual, plus extras like books and games, and seasonings and condiments). The neighborhood was quiet. The owners thoughfully provided suggestions for nearby dining and activities. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

As title notes, it was truly a wonderful experience from the very beginning of our vaca until the end. Was searching (very carefully and thoroughly) for a last minute getaway for my family of 5... including 3 teenagers. I reached out to Gale with a couple of questions and she responded immediately. She was extremely informative and kind. I knew after this short correspondence that this was the place for us. Upon entering house, we could immediately see that it was immaculate... extremely clean, remodeled, well-kept, and comfortable.... please know that my family (including kids) is extremely picky about where we stay/vaca. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. My teenage daughter claimed lower floor bedroom which didn't have it's own bathroom (completely disclosed by Gale ahead of time), and that was really the only negative. This being said, Gale asked that we let her know of any possible improvements, I mentioned to her, and she already has a bathroom in the works! Enclosed patio was relaxing and peaceful, as well as indoor fireplace in den area. There was a terrific fire pit outside (an abundant amount of wood available to use) but unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of because of really chilly weather that came through. My entire family gave the place 2 thumbs up and they are a very critical group... this being said, we'll definitely be back!!
