Two friends and 2 dogs stayed at The Escape Cabin for a July hiking weekend. Well-kept, cozy, modern cabin tucked into the woods but not that far from civilization (downtown Boone is just a brief car ride away) or a main road :). We enjoyed the variety of beautiful hikes within 15 - 20 minutes: waterfalls; Goshen River trail; lakes; mountain vistas. We would stay at this place again--each with our own bedroom and bath.

The location was great! Close to everything! Back deck was nice and had deer walking around! Inside was laid out ok but we could use an bigger table. We do a lot of grilling out. We will stay there again!!

Cabin was a perfect size for our small family. Fully stocked with necessities and in close proximity to grocery store. Hot tub was nice as well (yes even in the summer) as the evenings were cool enough to enjoy. Had a daily visit from several deer and we enjoyed watching the squirrels snack from feeder in the front. Would stay here again!
Only 'issue', which isn't related to the cabin itself would be the condition of the main road to cabin. Several potholes to navigate.

Good little place for a Boone getaway. Guest bed was represented as Queen, but is a double bed. Master Bath/Shower is a difficult entry/exit-kind of a safely issue. The place was excellent otherwise.

First two days, short sleeve weather. We were able to enjoy the deck, fire-pit, and hot tub.The last two days were miserable, so we hung out inside. Beautiful place. Yes, the traffic on 105 can be heard from the deck, but once the trees leaf out I am sure it will be muted. Didn't stop us from having a great time. Love that the ASU Nature Preserve is so close. You can even walk to a baseball game. Everything with the house was as advertised, and we would definitely rent again.

great location to Boone, Valle Crucis, Banner Elk, perfect for quick trips, or to just hang out at the cabin

We absolutely loved our stay here. We decided to do a little Christmas getaway and this was perfect. Right in the middle of Sugar Mountain and Appaloacian Ski Resort which were out main activities. Roughly 5 minute drive to downtown Boone. Highly recommend!

A great place to hang out on a rainy, chilly weekend to enjoy catching up with friends. The house had puzzles, games, books, movies - we couldn’t get bored! Cozy and fun.

Escape 194 was absolutely magical! We were so pleased with the cleanliness & location. It couldn’t of been more perfect. We raved about our stay so much we will definitely stay here again in the future when we visit Boone.

We stayed here for a wedding in Boone. It was very comfortable and cozy. The location is great just a 5 min. drive to downtown.

The house is comfortable and the hot tub and gas fire pit were great! The location is noisy (proximity to the road), but when the windows are closed, it's quiet enough to sleep.

Fabulous weather! Cabin was great, except the bed pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Lovely setting.

Loved this cute cabin. It had everything we needed and was a great location.

The home is nice and matches the pictures. The location is far enough away from downtown to be outside of walking range but close enough to a major roadway that your outside sounds are of traffic.

Visiting App state with my oldest daughter and family. Had a great stay!

Perfect little cabin nestled in the woods but close to town. We saw lots of wild life and enjoyed our stay.

Loved it. Very private, modern amenities, will rent again

Was wonderful

The house was equipped with everything we needed. It was comfortable and completely private. We loved how close it was to everything and still had the quiet and secluded trip that we wanted.

Upon arrival, I thought that the placeight ba little smaller than it appears in the pics. However, by the time we left, I couldn't imagine needing anything more. The furniture is comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for heating up meals, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The real showstopper, tho, is the deck. With a hot tub, a fire pit, and large size, there is no need for anything else! We will stay again the next time we come to Boone!

The perfect mountain escape. Quite, private, but still close to everything. Carolina Cabins does it again.

It was a wonderful experience! I shared a week with my daughter who is in rehabilitation for substance abuse, we enjoyed the contact of nature during the fall season. Magnificent!

The cabin was overall great, clean, quiet (feels private in the wooded area its in), we saw several deer in the field. Sweet little cabin, we cooked and found the kitchen had everything we needed (we brought a crock pot for chili), all fireplaces worked and put out a good amount of heat and ambiance. The mattresses could be updated with new ones but not too bad. The hot tub felt brand new, super clean and hot. Would stay again for sure! It’s a small place overall but perfect for a couple or small family. Close to ASU campus. Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed grilling out on the nice gas grill, eating at the outdoor dining table and lounging in the hot tub. We also enjoyed the fire pit on the deck when it got cool at night.

Boone stay
Everything was wonderful! We just wish we had knew that the drive did not look like it did in the pictures, we where on motorcycles and from the pictures the drive gravel looked backed and that we would have no problem getting to the house. And owner/management group where aware of us coming up with motorcycles. But when we got to the home there was brand new loose gravel, still had powder on it, which is very dangerous on a motorcycle, it can give and throw a rider down. We made it in and out the weekend, the women had to walk to the paved road to get on the motorcycles with their husbands. I just wish someone would have let us know that they where doing drive way Maintance before we came up, probably would not have stayed here. We chose it based on location, paved road to driveway that looked packed. I guess some people just do not realize how dangerous it can be on a 900lb bike loose gravel can be. Other than this the place was wonderful, loved the house it had everything we needed. Loved the deck, used the gas fireplace one cool evening and the hot tub was wonderful. We had a great stay. And would stay here again driving a car or truck but not on our motorcycles anytime soon.

Enjoyed our weekend and would stay again.
The house and property were just as advertized. We would suggest that you deep clean the living room couch to get rid of an unplesant (pet) odor. We tried air freshener and it did not help. Everything else was great. House was clean and had plenty of linens. Would consider staying here again in the future.

Favorite Cabin so far
This was a lovely stay. This is our fourth summer in Boone, and this was our favorite cabin so far. It’s surrounded by trees so it feels private, but it’s in town enough that everything is easy to get to. We loved the space and especially loved the deck.

Noticed that the house wasn’t cleaned all the way like I thought it should be. Shouldn’t of found cobwebs in doorways and in rooms. Dust on lamp shades. Said there would be one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and only had one roll for two bathrooms

We enjoyed our stay. The covered front area was really nice for the kids to play. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. This cabin and location met the quaint and cozy place we had been looking for. While all of the surfaces, floors, bathrooms and linens were clean; A lot of cobwebs can be seen up above the door frames and in the upper corners of the rooms. The ceiling fans could also use a good dusting.

Mostly enjoyable!
We liked the cabin- it was nice, comfortable and clean. The only downside is that it was too close to a main highway. So you could hear cars. Not completely secluded as we’d hoped. But we loved the hot tub and fire pit and overall we would come back.
