The space was really beautiful and was everything we needed. I was facilitating a wellness retreat and the large room was perfect for our participants and activities. The rooms were great and so was the space. My only recommendation is to make it clear in the posting that the swimming pool and labyrinth area is located in another part of the location of the property and is not walkable to get to. Thank you.

Words cannot describe HRC and the hosts. This property was simply amazing. Maher was very informative in making sure we knew all the attractions near the property. He also arranged a bus and a driver for us and made us all feel very well taken care of. We were a large group of four families with kids, and this house was perfect for our group. The property manager, Jorge, was very accommodating and a very good host to us. When one of the members of our group got sick, he was compassionate enough to bring her some fruits to keep her hydrated. Everything that this property has to offer is beyond anything that we have ever seen. From the spectacular views from the balcony to the nice pool at the wellness center, this property had everything to make our vacation perfect for everyone. It is a very clean and well-kept house. The fresh fruits, flowers, and amazing mountain views made it very relaxing. The kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, plates, and silverware for our group of 16 people to cook and eat. They also had a cleaning crew come out during our stay who made the place look perfect every time. We felt at home in this house, and nobody wanted to leave when the day came to fly back home.

Pictures don’t do the property justice. Excellent communication from host. Place was very clean. Big bowl fresh fruit and fresh flowers waiting for us. Would stay here again.

This is a stunning house in an equally stunning surrounding. We were a group of 11 and stayed in this place for 4 days. To begin with, Maher is an amazing host. Since we booked the place, he was in regular communication with us. He helped us make reservations for various excursions. He even booked a bus for our entire group at a reasonable price. The driver picked our group from the airport and was with us for our entire time in Costa Rica. He even arranged to have an amazing chef cook us local cuisine one night and it was a treat. His place is located on top of a hill and all you can see is beautiful hills and countryside all around. It gets very foggy at nights and early in the morning which adds to the magic and mystic of this place. The house is a bit off the beaten path but that's exactly what we wanted. The property is new and very well maintained. All rooms have attached restrooms and there is plenty of space for a big group. The common areas including the living room, kitchen and dining is very spacious. They even have a swimming pool and a yoga retreat with access to lake Arenal within a 20-minute drive from this place. Our first day at the place and we were treated with fruits grown on their own farm. This is one of the best places we have stayed at, and we highly recommend it.

We loved our time at the property. It was clean and was comfortable to stay at. Modern amenities. The kitchen was well appointed. Jorge was fantastic to work with! He was incredibly responsive to our communication. I felt like this location was an excelllent value.
Some things other guests might want to consider. This location is up the mountain on a rough road. It's about 15 min or so from Lake Arenal. We were there in the wet season and it was really wet and muddy in the area so we weren't able to visit the waterfall or plant trees as we had originally planned. There is not a lot to do at the property, but we had activities that we did each day in Arenal and La Fortuna. We would definitely return.

Pataste Mission Trip
We had an amazing time at HRC. The place was spacious, very clean and everything that we need it! The only issue was the bad roads. It was raining season and the roads were in a really bad shape. A trip of 20 minutes took us almost around 45 minutes all the time we went down to our mission project. The same on the way up. Other than that it was awesome. The property manager Mr Jorge was very attentive, generous and always checking on us! He’s the best!! Always available! Yes, we recommend the place, and yes definitely planning to come back.

Amazing Property
Our group of 18 people (8 adults and 10 kids) has an amazing 9 days at HRC property. The house is secluded for privacy, very beautiful with a gated compound. It is modern and clean and really felt like home. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking appliances and Mahar and Jorge were very attentive and super prompt in responding to our questions. Prior to our visit, we had asked Mahar to arrange a Bus with driver for our entire group and he delivered with outstanding service with our driver Pablo, who picked us up from the San Jose Airport and was with us for the entire 9 days of our trip. Pablo went on all our hikes with us and showed us birds and other animals. The kids and us all had a great time and highly recommend getting the bus with the driver Pablo for any larger groups. On our request Mahar and Jorge had also provided us with fresh farm produce prior to us getting there. We also loved the fresh fruits that we received and kids were ecstatic to eat them. Jorge took us on the hike to the waterfall on the property and then also took us for fishing at the pond by his house. The kids had a blast fishing and planting the trees. Jorge had us also try the fresh sugarcane at his house and our entire group had a great experience spending the day exploring the property with him. The time spent at the wellness center was one of our favorite. The pool, maze and the access to Lake Arenal was amazing. We spend an entire day at the Wellness center and ended doing an impromptu BBQ lunch on a small portable grill that Jorge provided us (Such an amazing hospitality). All the experiences we had at HRC with the collaboration of Mahar, Jorge and Pablo (our driver) provided us with one of the greatest vacation experiences in Costa Rica. We all had a fantastic trip and highly recommend HRC rental for vacation. He also highly recommend getting Pablo for driving the bus for larger groups. The entire vacation was very safe and we cannot wait to go back in the future.

Great host and house
My clients reported really enjoying this house. The host was very helpful and communicative. This group also enjoyed the catering offered (at additional cost).

Amazing stay at the HRC
Our family of six had a very memorable week at the HRC. The house and surrounding property is beautiful. We especially enjoyed the views of the green pastures. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen and laundry room are well stocked with everything you need. Mahar and Jorge were very responsive to all our questions and needs. Jorge was very kind to plant trees with our boys and show them around the property. The wellness center is a short drive away with a very nice pool for relaxing. Highly recommend this wonderful rental. Also recommend renting a 4X4 vehicle because the road is bumpy.

Great house!
We stayed in this house with my husband and three kids, my son’s friend, my niece and nephew, and our three additional friends and we still had room to spare. The downstairs has a bedroom with two beds and then there are four bedrooms upstairs that either have two beds or a bed and a set of bunk beds. Each room has its own bathroom and private entrance off the balcony so everyone had privacy. The kitchen was fully stocked to cook at home and had great views when it wasn’t raining. Both Mahar and Jorge were quick to respond to any questions we had (like within minutes). The house is modern and clean and really felt like home. There is a 20 minute stretch of rough road so have the appropriate car. And the drive to La Fortuna is winding so my daughter and I struggled with car sickness but we were in a big 15 passenger vehicle. My only disappointment was the two times we got home early in hopes of planting a tree at the lodge with Jorge or maybe seeing the wellness center it was too rainy but maybe next time!
