Amazing trip! House is gorgeous with stunning views
10.0 / 10.0
Property is beautiful. Well maintained. It is difficult to get to in the snow, which is why 4 wheel is required. We didn't find it possible to ski out from the house, and had to go to the end of the road to do so. So, if you are looking for a typical ski in/ski out, this isn't it. But, we make it work and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home
Great house, beautiful property! The house is ski in/ski out IF you are a proficient skier and don’t mind skiing on the road or taking a short drive. Unfortunately, we had littles who were new to skiing so this didn’t work for us-but we didn’t let that stop us from having a great time!

Things you need to know when staying here…
The home is beautiful but that is where it ends for us.
Upon arriving, a dresser drawer in the bedroom had adult men underwear and adult diapers in it. One diaper was used and was still sitting inside the underwear. 🤢
The downstairs heater didn’t work. We had 4 children under the age of 12 using these beds. The rooms did not get above 58 our first night. No one slept from how cold it was. House manager was responsive and brought space heaters for the next night.
You are 30 minutes from anything, when we went to grill our second night, both propane tanks were empty.
Our biggest complaint, you are responsible for your trash… this is not disclosed. This means placing food trash/dirty diapers in your car and driving 30 minutes to the town collection site and throwing it away. This is a huge hassle and extremely inconvenient. Especially leaving town when your car is loaded to go home.
The home is a beautiful home with beautiful views. We will not stay here again. For this price point, there should be propane available, heaters should be working, drawers should be emptied and you should not have to dispose of your trash.

Great house, amazing view
We had a great time here. It was a new, clean, secluded, high-end property with the most amazing view. When you stay here, you are literally at the summit of Angel Fire Resort! Keep in mind that means a 15+ minute trip down the mountain to get into town and having to adapt to very high altitude (10,000+ feet) during your first couple of days. You're also very close to the lift and zip lines, which is probably great for skiing but not great if you want to be "away from it all" in the summer. For us, the balcony view, the quality of the home, and the ability to hike in the surrounding forest made it all worthwhile. We would definitely stay here again.

Immaculate home and views
A nice place to get away from the heat and enjoy the cooler air in the mountains of Angel Fire. The house was perfect for our party of five (one couple and three adult boys). The house is immaculate and very well appointed. It is at the top of the mountain with privacy and the view off the back deck overlooks the valley of Angel Fire and Eagles Nest Lake.
Enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely book again!

Amazing views!
Location was amazing, although it was a bit of a trek to reach the top of the mountain. Although, once on deck and after seeing the amazing view, it was worth it. Not sure about the drive in the winter, but for spring it was fine. All areas were well maintained and cozy.
We felt like check-out was a bit early with all the added chores that were required, which I understand is most often necessary with rentals, but we didn't feel like we were really able to enjoy our last morning or the view, as we were running around removing sheets, towels, collecting trash, putting away clean dishes, loading the dishwasher, etc.

Beautiful property
Great property with plenty of beautiful views. The cabin was well put together with attention to cleanliness. Water pressure was really low made it difficult to take a shower and wash dishes. Emailed property manager twice for questions I had no response was able to reach property manager on a phone call.

Great ski home
This is a beautiful home with spectacular views. It is important for potential renters to know that it is located at the top of the mountain and is a very long drive down to the village. Bringing all the necessary food items will prevent unnecessary trips to eat. The kitchen has very nice appliances to facilitate cooking. The ski in/out was a great option and saved a ton of time. Our only complaint was the requirement to take all your trash to the recycling center in Angel Fire especially when your vehicle is completely loaded for the drive home. I would have expected a high priced VRBO to handle this for the guests.

We loved the cabin! Great views and plenty of room for all of us! Cons: driveway difficult to navigate with children and luggage due to ice/mud hole, further from town than expected with rough road to and from

Our stay was terrific! The photos don't do the views justice--we loved going to sleep seeing stars and waking up to see the sunrise over the mountains. The home was beautifully decorated, with comfy beds, heated floors, a great kitchen and plenty of room for our whole family. We enjoyed sledding in the yard, seeing mule deer and elk across the street and relaxing in the hot tub after a full day of skiing. The management company was very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. Overall, a great experience. We will be back!

Beautiful home, zero amenities
Home was beautiful, with a beautiful view. Driveway was not cleared so unloading vehicles was difficult. There were no cleaning supplies, no amenities (no coffee, no coffee filters, no trash bags, no paper towels, soap etc). A family literally needs to pack like they are going camping. It was very frustrating to get up the mountain to the home and then have to go back down to town for items this costly of a Vrbo should supply.

Not exactly a ski in /ski out
First of all the home was absolutely beautiful and there was plenty of room for all of us. The views were AMAZING! The heated floors were a bonus! But... we really rented this home because it said ski in / ski out, at least that's what it said in the description. It could of been a ski out if you could find a trail but when there's snow and a very steep hill to go up and down, there was no way for any of skiers to go down it without getting hurt or passing out from the vigorous workout it took to get down or up. It took my husband literally 20 minutes to get back up the hill. So to us it was very misleading. We did get accommodated a little by the owner. We were just really bummed about spending a lot of money for ski in and ski out when we couldn't use it. Our people are very good skiers and snowboarders so it wasn't that they were inexperienced.
