We loved the open floor plan, large dining table and cleanliness. There are some easy improvements that need to be done: new set of pots and pans, utensils etc, just get rid of the hot tub (smells so bad), fix lower oven (temp was way off when trying to cook), had an extremely difficult time getting the tv and audio to work (quickly resolved with Vacasa) and the tap water smelled like rotten eggs in all sinks and showers. We had to brush our teeth and cook with bottled water. The place overall is good but could use these simple updates.

We had a big group and this house was perfect! Living space was awesome and spacious. Very clean. You can hear the river. Very dog friendly with fenced yard and bowls for your pet. Even some toys :)
Kitchen has everything you would need for your getaway.
It was very hot and humid, we used all the fans we could find :)
And the vinyl record collection was a great touch for our stay.
We loved spending our weekend here.
Highly recommend! Thanks for sharing your space.

Very nice, big house.
Major problem, the hot tub was out of service.
We specifically wanted a house with a hot tub to relax in after skiing. This cut the search options from over 80 houses to just a few. Houses without hot tubs were less expensive and in some cases closer to the mountain, but we paid a premium to have a hot tub. Extremely disappointed to find it out of service and not made aware beforehand. After the trip i contacted the management company Vacasa via phone. The customer service representative abruptly said they noted the complaint and someone would contact me within 24hrs. I never got a follow up. Terrible customer service from Vacasa.

Overall, this residence achieved what we were hoping in that it was comfortable and reasonably convenient to Stratton, but the hot tub wasn’t working and looked like it needed cleaning. The hot tub room had a smell also. If hot tub isn’t a deal breaker for you then this is a good option.

A few things about this property caught me off guard. Its operated by Vacasa, which for the most part was fine. But there was no one locally to help you if something is wrong or ask questions to that actually knows anything about the property.
For example after booking this property I found out there is only space for 2 -3 cars to park. And if snowing they dont recommend using the driveway because of falling snow. This house is suppose sleep 12 and can only hold 2 cars? I wrote messages to Vacasa and received no response so I called them and the answer was to park vehicles "downtown" and shuttle people back and fourth to the property. Needless to say we figured it out on our own, with no help from Vacasa.
The house, the beds, and bathrooms were all clean. The hot tub was unusable, there is a distinct smell coming off of it and it we tested the water with a test kit we found showing little to no chlorine. The house and the hot tub we both under 50 degrees when we arrived. The house took about 4 hours to get back up to 65 degrees.
This is a decent ski house in a good location. The house needs some TLC, new appliances, and better parking.

Everything was as advertised, the stay was amazing and it was a beautiful home.

Very interesting indoor space. Inadequate fans for conditions. Very clean. Because of electric outage we made the decision to leave early, as it was getting dark. No lights, no water meant a hurried, incomplete exit

Everything was very nice with this property! Looked nice and felt comfortable with enough seating for all 9 of us at the dinning room table. It's in a quaint little town with a local shop with breakfast that was a minute away, and a 3 min walk to the river. Hit up a few lakes and other fun activities and most things were a 15-30 minute drive. The only negative was we noticed few mice but I think that's par for the course in VT.

Everything we needed.
The house gave us everything we needed for a great family and friends get away. We all enjoyed a day skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Snow, just down the road, and we would have gone another day if the weather was not rainy. Instead, we explored Brattleboro for some shopping, antiques, and brewery'ing. Also explored the Brattleboro Retreat area and stocked up on some cheese products. When driving back to the house, the Beer Naked Brewery is a great pit stop, with a great view. We enjoyed the Hot Tub and the Woodstove. If we had more time we definitely would have 'DJ'ed some of those record albums. What a great collection.

Nightmare trip
House was ok when we first got there. Was a little strange that you look out the window and there is a gas station next door, not exactly what you hope for when you rent a VT ski house. The part that really ruined our experience though was the indoor hot tub. On day 2 of the trip, 3 of the adults went in the hot tub. Within a couple of hours, all 3 developed a very bad stomach virus which rapidly spread throughout everyone else in the house including the babies and young children. Everyone had to pack up their sick families up and leave the house several days early. When I called and emailed vacasa multiple times to explain our nightmare stay and how our trip was derailed by this, they did absolutely nothing to try and make right by us. Horrible customer service as I called 3 times and never even received a call back with follow up. I've been going to VT for ski trips for 20 years this stay was by far the worst stay ever. I hope they fix or close that hot tub so no-one else has to experience the misery that we did.

We booked this home for a quick trip to Stratton (20 minute drive). We really enjoyed the fireplace and the bedroom arrangement was perfect for the kids who shared the room with the bunk beds.
Being pet friendly, there is always a concern about smells or fur but have no fear, there is no fur here!
I would recommend this property to others.

Relaxing environment
This property was really off the beaten path. House in general was very nice. Beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets for warmth. Internet access was so-so...directions for electronics were very helpful, however we still were unable to comprehend the use of a few things. Loved the jacuzzi!!! Would have been nice if there was carpeting to walk on when stepping out instead of a cement floor. Loved the kitchen and living room!!! Enjoyed looking out and seeing the river across the street. My biggest concern or complaint was the dirty shower curtain on the main floor...hopefully it gets changed out soon.

Great Home
This property was great. Accommodated our large group with no issues. There was a strong mold smell in the basement. Likely from the hot tub moisture. Other than that, absolutely perfect.

Awesome Vacation Spot!
This house is awesome! Clean, chalet style house fully equipped with everything you could want for a amazing weekend including hot tub, darts, record player, and comfortable beds. We enjoyed jumping in the river and getting breakfast sandwiches at the country store next door. We’d love to come back!

home in the woods
We didn't spend a lot of time at the house. Tried to see the area. Visited all the states within a short distance each day. Very homey feeling each evening when we returned to the house. I would recommend this home if you want solitude! The restaurant next door is awesome. Great food! I would suggest putting ceiling fans in each room. It was quite warm until four or so in the morning. The towel rack in the down stairs bathroom was coming loose from the wall (needs toggle bolts). We had an awesome time in this home! Thank you for sharing with us! God bless you and your family!

Great Weekend Away!
Fantastic for large groups, this property is tucked a way but very spacious. Parking was a little tight, but worked out just fine. Hot tub and game room were a crowd favorite! The kitchen and living room were great and made it feel very homey! The bedrooms were all great size, but definitely on the warmer side. The bedroom downstairs’ door was very squeaky. In walking distance to a cute little cafe and country store (highly recommend going to both) as well as the River! We didn’t bring any dogs but it is certainly dog friendly!!! We would 100% recommend staying here!
