Lots of space in this place, great floor plan & very convenient location.

The close proximity to the beach was great. The home itself needs a lot of updates and repairs.
8.0 / 10.0
For eight golfers to have their own room and bathroom, a very nice pool and hot-tub, good WiFi, linens and towels...this was a very good value. Photos and previous reviews accurately capture what to expect. Would certainly entertain this option for future trips.

THE POOL, THE LARGE TV/LIVING ROOM, MANY BEDROOMS

Great location! House served our purposes wonderfully! Our crew loved the extras like the pool and fuse ball table but the big hit was the volleyball court! We usually try to get a place with a basketball court because that’s where people a lot of their time but this year, the basketball was hardly touched due to the volleyball court! We will now have to add this to our tradition! The location was great and the company was easy to work with prior to our stay. A few minor repair issues needed but nothing that would affect our staying again. We had a great time! Thanks!

This was an awesome house perfect for large family vacation. Pool was great! Walkable distance to the beach. Huge wrap around porch on top floor. Kitchen was well loaded with pans and utensils.

Overall the house fit our needs. The location felt almost beach front with the path right there. It was no trouble getting to and from the ocean. Even with a toddler. (Just under 2yr old) It felt very private with the yard and pool. The kitchen was lacking on some basic items. Pots, pans, and cooking items. The house needs updated. Badly. Couches and living room felt old used and outdated. The bathrooms felt old and just not what we’re used to in an outer banks house. Some of the things that a lot of other houses have, beach wagon, bikes, and such would have made it so much better. It was nice having a bathroom for everyone but even the master felt cramped. We Liked being close to the shops and it could be a fantastic house with some upgrades.

Great vacation
This house is spacious. It was perfect for our kids and grandkids. Everyone had their own space if they wanted and we also had some great family time. We had a wonderful reunion.

Enjoyed our stay, house needs a little TLC
The location and size of the house was ideal. And having a bathroom in every bedroom was wonderful. The house does need some attention though (nothing that dampened our stay but would bring it up a notch). The faucets drip, the kitchen needs some items like a pot to cook pasta ( we used a crab pot), oven mitts, the TV's in half the rooms would not work, and dryer would not dry the clothes.
Overall, nothing that was a very big deal, and did not dampen a great vacation. But these small changes would make a big difference.

Summer breeze too 4001
We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen could have been a little better equipped, but we made the best of it. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice.

House met our needs, not luxurious
The house had the space we needed to bring 4 families together. That said - it’s pretty rundown (and dirty) and in need of major upgrades to the bathrooms, outdoor areas, and bedding. Also - the blankets were thin and cheap and the comforters hadn’t been washed. All told space was as advertised but for the price we paid I would have expected higher quality bedding, linens and general upkeep.

Flawed, But Great Potential
Overall, “Summer Breeze Too” has the potential to be a great house after numerous flaws are taken care of. As of March 2021, this house has a new owner who installed all new, top-quality stainless kitchen appliances. We surehope they intend to replace the nasty tile and grout countertops with solid quartz, granite or marble. The two living room sofas also need replacing. Wherever one sits, you sink way down to the charming sound of someone releasing wind. Finally, the two levels of decks and the long front stairs have old, weather beaten flooring. Two in our party of 14 got splinters on the top deck. A fresh coat of paint in all rooms would be an improvement, perhaps in more light and soothing tropical colors.
The house with its eight bedrooms and eight baths was perfect for our party of 14, ranging in age from 15 to 80. We all thoroughly enjoyed the large, private and well-maintained pool with a pergola that offered shade for three or four of the 10 lounge chairs. The poolside hot tub was also very clean and fresh.
Since the house is on a large corner lot and high elevation, there was always a pleasant breeze. When not at the pool, we enjoyed the ocean and deep beach within a 5-minute walk from the house. The rec room with pool table and foosball was enjoyed by most in our group. Two refrigerators were most welcome, too, as well as the kitchen’s two dishwashers.
Alas, things do go wrong with houses over the years. From the time we arrived late afternoon on Saturday we had NO hot water for nearly five days! Maintenance first replaced the two water heater tanks and a circuit breaker on Monday and Tuesday. Still no hot water! An electrician came Wednesday, but foolishly increased the tanks’ factory setting of 125 degrees to 145. This caused the circuit breakers to trip. Still no hot water. Finally, a day later the situation was resolved and we had hot water on Thursday afternoon. But it took at least four phone calls and five emails to Vacasa during all those five days to get three separate maintenance people on four separate days to try and fix our dilemma. We are pleased now to learn the house owner has agreed with Vacasa to return 15% of our base rental cost.
Despite the flaws and our particular dilemma, we still recommend a large group stay at “Summer Breeze Two,” but preferably after more work is done. Be advised, too, there is no elevator, but it was not a problem for us. Parking is more than ample for up to six cars. Enjoy!

We had 5 families (15 ppl total) and the house worked out perfectly. Everyone had their own space and the living area on the top floor was large enough for all of us.
The location was great, too. The boardwalk path to the beach is right outside the door and you can bike to the shops.
The house provided a beach cart, some beach chairs and some boogie boards which was nice. The house itself was clean - maybe not up to some standards, but it was clean enough. There are two charcoal grills in the back. We brought a portable propane grill and brought it up to the top deck off the kitchen and used that a lot as it was a little more convenient.
Next time, I will be looking into renting the canopy and chairs from a local rental place as that would have been so much easier as there are about 30 steps from the boardwalk to the beach so it may be something to consider. It was a great vacation and the house worked out so well for our group.

Complete Disappointment
Beware of the pictures compared to reality. The house is dated and needs a significant amount of updating in addition to a deep clean! There was trash left all over the lawn and parking area. What would have been the volleyball area was filled with weeds and more trash wrappers. Second deck there was a plate with food left on chair and more trash and wrappers. The decks were worn and splintering and unsafe to walk barefoot. Section of the deck was lifting up. Inside the house the furniture is incredibly worn and crumbs left on couches which made us not even want to use them. Kitchen faucet dripped constantly and countertop grout was dirty and coming out. First time we went to use dryer, it didn’t work and we had to make several calls to rectify the issue - communication was poor. Outdoor shower was disgusting - filled with leaves and trash as though it never had been used or cleaned. 1/2 the lights under decking and outdoor shower did not work at all. Honestly, we debated writing a negative review but we were so completely disappointed by this property especially given what we paid to rent it for the week and seeing the other properties surrounding us that were roughly the same price and much much nicer. Unfortunately, we ended up cutting our trip short.

Only had 14 forks. Irritated.
Only 14 forks (houses 16). Sounds petty, but there was nothing but a few bath towels provided. No salt, coffee filters. Supplies in the house seemed like everything came from a rummage sale. We came with a great family and had fun.

Loved the coziness and private pool and hot tub. The short walk to the beach was also a bonus. Would definitely recommend this home to all. We’ll be back!

Perfect large family get together!
This home was exactly what we were looking for. Conveniently located right on the beach walkway, and we even had our own private street where the kids could play without worrying about cars. The pool area was wonderful as well as the volleyball court. We eat-in on vacations and the kitchen was fully-equip with everything we needed. We WILL be back!

Summer Breeze Two Rental
Overall, our family had a great time and our experience at the property was pretty positive. The pool and hot tub were great. However, we were unable to use the tiny charcoal grills and the volleyball court as there was a huge hole in the play area. Additionally, the appliances (stove especially) and some of the furnishing need to be updated. Corolla Vacations was very responsive with an ant issue and an unstable chair/countertop.

without internet at Christmas, non or poor response from the rental company
Before posting this, we really tried numerous times to resolve our issue with the rental company as the last thing we wanted was to write a negative review. We firmly believe that the homeowner is not aware of the huge inconvenience we had during our family vacation, in december 2017 - the so important Christmas time. Unfortunately the rental company has been non or poorly responsive during our stay and after. Ultimately they came with a resolution that is far from being satisfactory.
Dear Homeowner, we do apologize that this is the only way to contact you ... please contact your management company and request our file and, specifically, a copy of the emails and the log of the requests we sent via their 'fabulous' app. Feel free to contact us directly; they have our details.
Once again, this was not the way we wanted to go but, frustrated, we are left with no choice.
We are happy to delete or post a new review later on.
Thank you for your attention.

This was a beautiful, well maintained home. The amenities were perfect for a fun, relaxing vacation.
Best Vacation Ever! This is how our family feels. The home was lovely, clean and comfortable. The pool was awesome and the beach was a two minute walk away. Located right on the beach access. Great location to everything and spacious enough for large groups. I booked this home for next May into June for another fabulous week. Thanks for sharing your home with us and our dog🐾
