A Comfortable and Cozy Hostel

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at the Le Mat Hostel! The location was perfect as it was close to the beach, and everything was just a short walk away. The staff was really friendly and helpful, especially the hardworking and precise cleaning lady! The kitchen had everything one could dream of and even had a machine where you could get ice-cold water. During the night, the AC was turned on, and the room was comfortably chilly, making it great for sleeping. The lockers were fairly big and the property provided every guesy with towels.

It was quite hot in the building during the daytime. I understand that it's due to the age of the building and the overall climate of the country, and the heat was actually bearable, but that is definitely something to keep in mind.

I stayed there for only one night, but I would definitely stay for more!

Excellent location, quiet but very close to the beach, bars, cafes and restaurants. Also, affordable and very clean!

The only minus were the toilets, which were quite narrow. I was ok (I am 160cm and about 58kg) but anyone a bit larger might find it slightly challenging.

Great hostel with brilliant location

The best hostel - maybe, not in the world, but definitely on Cyprus. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and balcony, clean bathrooms, functional kitchen, perfect location. But the heart of it is the yard) The place, where you can find friends, have a nice talk, work, eat, drink, smoke - everything. The best place to stay in Larnaca!

Absolut zu empfehlen.

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Doppelzimmer war sehr groß und das alte Gebäude hatte seinen Charme. Die Küche ist absolut ausreichend ausgestattet und die Lage so nah am Stadtzentrum war klasse. Die Bäder wurden häufig geputzt.

My go to accommodation when in Larnaca!

This is a great spot in Larnaca. It is walking distance to everything in Larnaca, the beach, restaurants, etc. It's in an interesting old property and is well organized. It's an easy bus ride to/from the airport (Route #425) to within a few blocks of the hostel, so I have stayed here multiple times when flying in and out of LCA. Bunks in the dorms have privacy curtains and electrical outlets, etc. The open air courtyard is very pleasant to hang out in and the wifi is solid!

In off-season staff isn't always around, but communications via booking app are good!

Perfect stay,I loved everything

The best hostel in all Larnaca! The place is super clean the bed was computable.British adopter that convert from European plug in all beds,locker.location very prime near to the beach. Very professional team help in everything.

Excellent choice, in the heart of Old Larnaka (perfect location!)

What an amazing place. It's an old and spacious house, perfectly restored to make you feel the air of Larnaka's old town. The owner is really amiable! They have some shared rooms, and also some private ones. I stayed here twice, both times in a private very spacious and clean bedroom, with comfortable beds and a balcony (to the inner little yard) nearby. The bathroom is also shared, with full-time hot water, and the shared kitchen is well equipped, even with free tea all day long. The common area is good for mingling with people, mostly of them lonely travelers or couples. And it's pretty well located, 2min walking from the main tourist street (which connects the seaside with St Lazarus Church). Loved the place. Back to Larnaka some days later, stayed here a second time. Truly recommend it.

Amazing Hostel!

Beautiful location and place, get a free towel and a secure locker, helpful staff and so close to the beach, there’s also parking outside if you wish to hire a car would recommend!

An excellent stay in a brilliant, relaxed hostel

Lovely downstairs seating area and kitchen, excellent location. Great to have free tea/coffee, some milk/fruit would also be great. Didn't speak to the staff much but seemed nice. Beds pretty comfy

Quite stuffy in the room when lots of people were there. Comfortable enough bed, quite tricky to get onto the top bunk and need more pillows:)

Reservation was canceled by property and they refused to refund me.

Nothing because they canceled my reservation before I was able to stay and then refused to refund me saying ot was my fault because I was arriving after 10:30pm at night (when they close reception).

Didn’t have the chance to like anything because they canceled my reservation just days before my arrival.

Great location and beautiful shared area

Hostel is located just 5 mins from the beach and bus stops, room (we had a private room) was really spacious, clean and had AC. Hostel itself is located in a beautiful and well maintained historical building, ceilings in rooms are really high, also there is a gorgeous patio that everyone can use. There was a kitchen with a fridge and basic appliances. Check-in and check-out was very convenient and fast. It was amazing that there was also a plug area available that can be used with standard European plugs (we did not have adapter)! Overall, we enjoyed the stay!

The bathroom was slightly uncomfortable in my opinion - female and male bathrooms (both toilettes and showers) share the same ceiling. E.g. there is very little privacy as you can here quite everything. Toilette cabins were quite small but shower was fine to use.

showers were warm, great location close to beach and busses.

the bathrooms are awkward with the wall being shared with the men’s and women. I don’t want to be able to hear everything that’s going on in the other stalls and on the other side of the wall. also the door to upstairs slams closed a lot, which isn’t great in the middle of the night. checkin times are also minimal.

lovely hostel

I sincerely love this hostel - this was a return trip of mine: great location, nice hosts, clean, lovely launge area where you can work if you need to, right next to the internation bus station (5 min) and the shore. I wholeheartedly advise this accomodation to anyone

Very well located hostel with friendly staff

All basic facilities you'd expect from a hostel, the property has quite a nice character to it and the staff are very happy to help. The hostel is also incredibly well located, close to lots of eateries and bats, as well as a 10 minute walk from a major bus stop with coaches all across the island.

The room was a little cold at times during the night perhaps due to the age of the property - though I'm almost certain this isn't a problem outside of the winter months!
