Beautiful premises. Location of the room, near the ocean, it was great.
Personnel in restaurant is not very guest-minded.

Bar staff super friendly and helpful. Felt safe. Room was OK. Enjoyed our complimentary mindfulness session. Pool nice.
I don't know what it was about this place, it feels very unloved, like someone had an idea but is a bit bored with it all now. The beach had loads of plastic on it. Much of the site was derelict, some buildings evidently damaged at some point and neither removed or repaired, just left. The room was tidy but really quite dark and depressing. Food in the restaurant overpriced. There were hardly any guests despite it being high season.

Premium garden view room is in our worldwide top 3 regarding size of room, bed and bathroom. Same for comfort. Nice sheltered terrace with the sound of the Atlantic waves and the breeze in the palms.
Beautiful botanical garden. Situation between a wild beach (No bathing!) and a river.
Nice pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Food and breakfast is good.
Vegetarian options that are OK.
Turtle protection program.
That we could not stay longer...
The restaurant deco could be improved, it looks like a cafeteria, not up to the rest of the place.
No activities organised such as yoga, etc but it is due to low season.
Out some hummingbird feeders, this makes seeing these shy birds easier.

It has charm. Very remote location.
Old and outdated. Restaurant closed early and had some selections not available.

Parking lot is too far from the bedrooms. Shuttle service always required but not always readily available or guests are not made aware that there is a shuttle service available.
The long walk from the dining room, reservations etc to some of the bedrooms. Not very comfortable for guests with mobility issues.

It was quiet and peaceful.
Too far away from the city

It isn't every day that a guest is blessed with great accommodations, a wonderful staff, tasty meals and a breathtaking location. The area is absolutely wonderful with river, sea, and mountain scenery to compliment the beauty of this location.
The outside is a bit humid due to the sea blast but this did not take away from my enjoyment of the area.

It was set in 22 acres in the midst of a jungle with the Atlantic to one side. The gardens and flowers were flawlessly maintained. Paradise, really. The entire island was wiped out in 2017 by Hurricane Maria, including this resort, now rebuilt with several 2-4 cottage buildings along winding paths to the central restaurant/pool and up to reception. Most staff were friendly and were quick to resolve problems with a smile. Secured by a gate at entrance and security staff.
Wifi spotty, restaurant had limited menu and rigidly managed a lunch-dinner-children's menu so you could not have a hamburg at dinner or chicken/chips if over @14 etc etc such that eating became a chore. We asked to switch our breakfast- included to lunch- included for that reason!!
Designated as a National Geographic Resort, one of 45 before NG stopped this in 2017, it seemed cottages were unnecessarily large for an eco-tourism sustainable designation. We got the only 2-bed available, but at 640 sq' it seemed overkill. There were only 6 people at the resort for first 3 days so we could have had smaller unit...but that may be a Booking.Com problem to sell most expensive unit. So that was aggravating. Also, as seniors, only activity options were hiking to one waterfall or another, or half day drive on a serpentine road(my back!!) to wallow in mud. Two days in some locals stayed but 4 people lined up at the bar at 10 a.m. while the female bartender regaled them sufficient to buy more booze seemed more like a low-end rather than a high-end establishment. If the wealthy owner needs to make money she might consider diversifying to attract a range of clientele prepared to pay (usually older have $$) for local experiences -- local cooking, education re local cocoa or ??? After all the Experience is what makes us travel here. Seven weeks into island hopping, we chose this for the Atlantic experience, not seen from our rooms, but down a path to an overgrown inaccessible black sand beach full of rotting sargassum piled up, that draws leatherback turtles to nest here. Never mentioned in ads, we did not know but we were excited that the resort would wake us in the night should a turtle arrive!! (Since Mar 21,two arrived). We read, swam and walked about 4 miles up a steep hot hwy to a village and had the most fun of it all talking to locals, having some beer, having cocoa explained and a drive through a pretty great village of 500.

The Rosalie Bay Eco Resort is amazing! My family felt so relaxed and welcome from the moment we arrived. The entire staff is so welcoming and friendly, the food is amazing using locally sourced ingredients starting with the fresh passion fruit juice served each morning or local coffee, kale and pumpkin couscous salad for lunch, local braised goat and fresh fish fingers for the kids (they couldn’t wait to eat each meal and lick their plate clean! The property is green, eco-conscious (very minimal plastic or free sundries in plastic provided), and has so much to do. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the rooms immaculately cleaned. We stayed five nights and could have easily stayed longer! A special shout out to Judy for all her tips (Emerald Pool, Jaco steps/flats hike, Spanny and Jaco Falls, and Victoria Falls hike-we we’re content and exhausted each day!), the always friendly ladies in the Leatherback restaurant Alina and Sabrina, the front desk staff, and grounds staff. my husband lived the gym and the kids and I loved the pool which was so natural and refreshing! Oh and did I mention we saw a beautiful leatherback female turtle lay her eggs-a bucket list experience!
Nothing. Rosalie Bay is remote in the middle of the rainforest and it does help to have a car if you are wanting to go to all the hikes snd waterfalls on your own schedule but the hotel can also organize private excursions. I loved the onsite pool and river kayaking and wandering turtle beach each morning-i/we ran out of time to even check out the beautiful spa! I don’t know about those people in the reviews who say the property is dated or the food is not good-I think those are the type of people who need to be at super developed chain properties with the all-inclusive options and probably they have come to the wrong island.

The food at this hotel was fantastic. I had been to a few places on the island, hands down this had the best breakfast. The bed is comfortable and the room is cozy. the rope swing was a great added touch. It is right next to a black sand beach. The spa treatments are great and you look out onto the Rosalie river and hear the babbling of the river as you get massaged.
The grounds and facilities are on the older side.

World class location. We love Marissa, Odette and another lovely girl on reception whose name we don't have. Good food. The room is charming, large and clean and the black swimming pool is the perfect temperature. Paradise on earth! They were attentive, accommodating and flexible with my family. This is a very special place.
It took a while for meals to be delivered to the room but we just ordered a little earlier to make up for this.

The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much for them and they helped to arrange any tours we wanted to do, transport to airport and arrangements for testing. They even sorted out posting us an item we left behind. The resort is beautiful and well looked after and the room we had was a great size and very clean. We were made to feel very welcome and it was the perfect start to our honeymoon, especially with the little touches in our room.
The amount of food options were quite limited, so having stayed for a week we felt like we had tried everything on the menu. There are no shops around so I feel like having some snacks available to purchase would have been good. I also found the pricing a bit expensive.

The staff, very friendly and informative. Also at the restaurant, we were welcomed warmly and service was very friendly. The property is beautiful with well-tended garden. The room very spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was better than expected.
In general we had a very pleasant stay without issue. Some interesting observation such as dinner only until 7pm, or no mixed drink, i.e, cocktails in the evening.
