Bayside Manor was truly a treat for all in our party! Herb greated us as soon as we pulled up and answered all of our questions and provided a helpful overview of the beautiful property! We took advantage of everything this property has to offer as our time flew by. Amazing water views in which we were able to spot seals and harbor porpoise and the most beautiful sunsets! The screened in porch quickly became a family favorite for reading and evening wind downs. Butterflies and hummingbird birds enjoyed the landscaping and we enjoyed watching them! We were lucky enough to have daily visits from the wild turkeys and deer! Our party of 6 felt comfortable with plenty of space! Patrick and Robin have thought of everything guests may need and provide it all! Bayside Manor is beautiful, well maintained, clean, and well.. feels like home away from home! We hope to return again some day!

Bayside Harbor is amazing!! Situated on Union River Bay with spectacular sunset views and Blue Hill in the distance. The night sky is absolutely beautiful. On a clear night you could see the Milky Way. We even got a glimpse of Starlink! The home is absolutely beautiful and most comfortable with all the amenities you will ever need. The hosts and property manager are wonderful. The property is situated within 30-40 minutes of Bar Harbor, Acadia, Cadillac Mtn, shopping and many restaurants and lobster pounds. Highly recommend and hopefully we will be back soon!!

Patrick and Robin's house is as beautiful as the pictures show, and the property is even better...it's huge and spectacularly maintained. When at the house, we spent most of our time outside or on the screen-in-porch.
Patrick was an excellent host, reaching out weeks before our stay to answer any questions and provide suggestions for the house and surrounding area. The house has written instructions throughout (e.g., light switch labels), which makes it very easy to use. The house is within very easy driving distance to Bar Harbor and all points on MDI, including Acadia National Park. Herb, the caretaker, who is fantastic and has a wealth of knowledge about the area, also gave excellent suggestions for some lesser-known activities like the ferry to Little Cranberry Island.
We had kayaks delivered (thanks Kayak1!) and kayaked directly from the front yard (easier at high tide!), spent parts of four days in Acadia National Park (bought the weekly pass) including two trips up Cadillac Mountain, had lobster rolls at many of the local lobster pounds (Beal's was a favorite) and grilled on the patio most nights. Groceries are within 15-20 minutes and we discovered an excellent local organic market (John Edwards Market) in nearby Ellsworth.
We had an excellent time and can't wait to return!

My family of 9 decided to stay at Patrick’s place and we were completely blown away with the property, location and accommodation we were given. We will keep this property in mind for future bookings for sure!

Beautiful property close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor but feels like a world away. The house was well equipped with everything you could need. The owners were very responsive and left a house manual that had a lot of helpful suggestions for local restaurants etc. (Along with a lovely welcome gift). Herb , the caretaker of the house and property was also very responsive when we had a question about the house. We rented kayaks and went kayaking off the beach in the back at high tide. We had a group that ranged in age from 24 to 83 years old and a great time was had by al! Thank you for sharing your property with us it was a wonderful week.

Patrick and Robin have the most beautiful, relaxing waterfront home and being able to enjoy it during the summer was truly perfect. Being used to vacations at the Jersey Shore, homes this nice do not typically allow pets. Here, they have supplies for them and the surrounding towns are pretty pet-friendly as well. Rooms are all well-appointed and bed are very comfortable! Herb is very kind and a great resource for the area as well as the manual left with house rules and activities- read through this when you first get there!!! It’s got great info. We spent a lot of time in the back yard and in the water in addition to check out Bar Harbor and other towns. We hope to return soon!!!

What a perfect location for a family gathering. The house was perfect for eight adults and on 19-month old. Check in was a breeze. The caretaker most helpful. The location ideal. Close enough to Acadia and the wonders of Mt. Desert, but private with great outdoor spaces. We would all highly recommend this beautiful home.

A Magnificent Home, Property and Vacation Experience!
What a dream vacation! Our family of 5 had a phenomenal vacation in this most special place. We thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking views, the cozy fireplaces and the lovely kitchen. The bedrooms were beautifully done and the beds a divine experience to sleep in. We appreciated all of the attention to detail with the interior design choices and the warmth of the layout. The cleanliness of all areas was pristine and Herb, the home caretaker was a gem. Thank you for opening your home to us and we would be honored to return! This is not a property to be missed if you are thinking of vacationing in the Coastal Maine MDI area!!!!!

This property is everything you could ask for in a vacation rental. The setting is private, peaceful and beautiful. You can appreciate the lovely water views from most rooms in the house. The house is very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Light switches are labeled and there are thoughtful touches all around, like the welcome note and gift, and extra toiletries in the bathroom. Patrick was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Stunning location; excellent for a large group.
We stayed at Bayside Manor for our first post-COVID family reunion, bringing together 3 generations for a week of exploring Mount Desert Island, hiking in Acadia, and enjoying the absolutely stunning views. The house was ample for our group of 4 families (including an infant and 2 children), with room for us all to eat together or separately, multiple sitting areas, an expansive lawn and tree swing for the kids, and a fabulous kitchen for cooking meals for a group. There's a large main floor bedroom (as well as a 1/2 bath on the main floor), and 3 bedrooms + 2 full bathrooms upstairs; there's also a laundry room upstairs. The master bedroom & bath are HUGE - our family of 4 could have easily shared it rather than putting the kids in their own room. The house had everything we needed for our stay, and the furnishings were the ideal mix of elegant and comfortable (think upscale modern farmhouse).
The grounds and location are amazing. We went paddle boarding behind the house - and would have kayaked if the weather had cooperated! - and found the distance from Acadia NP just perfect. It's a short 20-25 minute drive to Bar Harbor and the park, and going from the crowds of Acadia to the serene solitude of the house was a delight. We've stayed at many VRBOs, and this was by far the most beautiful location we visited. The owner (Patrick & Robin) and caretaker (Herb) were accessible, helpful, and made every aspect of the trip easy. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous spot out of the hustle of MDI
Our family of four enjoyed the loveliest week in Patrick and Robin's lovely home in Trenton. The home sits on a wonderfully private spot overlooking Union River Bay and, as a result, has front row seats to the most gorgeous sunsets in Maine.
Our family found this comfortable home very clean, well appointed, and perfect for relaxation and holiday-making. There are are ample, comfortable outdoor spaces to enjoy the lawn, beach, and views. The beds are very comfortable (we slept so well!) with very good linens. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked and had everything we needed. Herb, the caretaker, was very helpful during out stay.
The location really could not be better--close enough to MDI to enjoy all of its charms but far enough away from the tourist hustle to enjoy the quiet, simplicity that Maine offers. We hope to be back. This may just be one of our favorite corners of Maine.
Thank you Patrick and Robin!

Charming WaterFront Property
Our group of seven enjoyed our stay at this 4-bedroom home which accommodated us comfortably. We loved watching the sunset every night through the large sliding doors. There were plenty of seats on the deck and around the fire pit. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook, including all the tools for lobsters, which we took advantage of one night.
Included in our party was a dog, and we appreciated all the dog amenities including bowls and towels.
Highly recommended!
