Had everything we needed for a family break. Very comfy beds - a lovely apartment. A real home from home, well equipped if you want to cook but a great pub in the village serving good food if you don’t.

It was cosy

Really enjoyed our 2 nights.
Only downside - Streaming cut out every night at 21:30 - presumably due to remote nature of village

The accommodation was lovely, really well equipped and very clean. The hosts were great - we had a few requests and they were so accommodating, quick at responding and very kind. Lovely fresh bread on arrival too which was a treat! We would return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you!

Very well equipped house with all you need. Great to see good quality shower/shampoo products. Lovely fresh bread on arrival and milk in the fridge. Kids loved the outside lake area and found a swing to play on. So much to do in the surrounding area. House was a great fit for 2 adults and 4 wild children. Thank for a great stay.

A relaxing break to celebrate a birthday with family and friends. A charming holiday cottage based in a small village close to Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury. The Oakhill Inn within walking distance does good grub and is very welcoming. Lots of country walks nearby

It was close to a wedding we attended at the Abbey. Good pub nearby.

My husband and I stayed in upper beaches in August and we are still talking about how lovely it was. The accomodation itself is spacious with a separate floor with two bedrooms for the older children, which is great for families if you all want your own space for the evening. The rooms are fresh and modern and cleaned very well. The owners supplied toiletries and even a welcome pack with freshly baked bread. The surrounding grounds are beautiful...wonderful for walks and paddling on the lake.

The setup of Upper Beeches was great for us; it has been well considered and is brilliant for a family. There is everything you could possibly want included in the accommodation. We were very impressed.

Very enjoyable trips to Longleat, Bath, Kilver Court, Wells etc. Short break rounded off with delicious meal at Oakhill pub. Nice family time during Covid difficulties.

Was a visit to Longleat Safari Park and needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights.

Really, really frustrating that you can’t speak to a human at VRBO. Resulted in a lot of extra admin for the owners.

Fantastic Somerset cottage. And the most obliging and thoughtful hosts we have ever had.
