The AC was broken the entire time. We got a call on our way there that it was broken and was never fixed. Internet instructions were wrong - the network we were told to use didn’t exist. Then the one we were told to use never worked well. We were told we were getting a refund and never got it.

It's a great house for a group up to around 8 people. Good location, very well designed. We enjoyed it very much.

This beautiful home is located only minutes from stores and attractions.
I rented the home on December 1st and had a wonderful time. Rooms are big. TVs all work, bathrooms and Kitchen are clean and it has everything you need to feel at home. I recommend this home 100%

3 car garages, clean house, convenient to resort

Property wasn’t as clean as I would have liked.

The house itself was nice & spacious but a bit dated. Cleanliness wasn’t up to par as beachhouse rentals & not everything worked

This home is in a perfect location with easy access in and out of the neighborhood. Very close to towns nearby. Beautiful views from the large balcony. The rooms are spacious for a large family’s gathering. The kitchen is nice and we were able to cook all our meals at the home instead of going to a restaurant. The downsides of this lovely home are as follows: THE CARPET!!! I was shocked that this million dollar home had such gross carpet throughout the house. Pet stains were everywhere in all the bedrooms and throughout the full basement. The hardwood floors in the common areas were nice and well done but the owners of the home desperately need to rip all the carpet out and start over. There were two large spots in the master bedroom where a large dog had chewed up the carpet in the closet and at the entrance of the bedroom. The bathrooms were clean but lacked some important amenities like soap in the master bathroom. I had to borrow from the basement bathroom. The kitchen was pretty but it lacked a few important tools to make the experience perfect. There was no kitchen hand towel to be found so I had to use a bathroom hand towel instead. There were some implements to use for cooking but they were Dollar Store quality and needed improvement, especially the knife set which was very dull and flimsy. There were no cleaning supplies like a broom or Windex or anything to clean up spills after cooking. There was only one roll of paper towels and a small container of dish soap with a sponge available. It would have been nice to have a bit more to aid in after dinner cleaning. The light fixtures and ceiling fans throughout were dirty and needed to be wiped down to clean the dust. The mattresses in all the bedrooms were very hard and not very comfortable. These are nit-picky complaints (except for the carpet situation) but worth mentioning for such an expensive rental. Overall the home is really beautiful with exceptional views and space inside. It is obvious the home is used strictly for renting but that is not bad. The one major suggestion is for the owners to pay close attention to the carpet situation and make sure the cleaning services stock the home with proper amenities in between guests. We would rebook again if these corrections are made. We had a nice stay in the home and were able to relax and unwind on our short vacation away from home.

The house was very nice and large enough to accommodate all 11 of us.
The house was clean but the rug in the master bedroom could use a cleaning.
I only gave it a 4 stars instead of 5 since there were not enough towels, no laundry detergent or jet finish for the dish washer since it would not work unless there was liquid in the finish dispenser.
Some of the cups and glasses were cracked and should have been thrown away. There was garbage in the garbage can left next to the house so we could not use that one. Overall we had a good vacation there.
4.2
The location and spread of the house is great, 3 levels (basement, main and bedrooms) is awesome for 2 families, we never felt crowded.
The house definitely needs up keeping, some of the appliances are probably about to need a replacement. The cleaning staff did an OK job. We found trash and empty water bottles under a couple of beds upstairs. The trash from the previous tenants was in the garage and it took 5 days (and several texts) before it was removed. The driveway got icy, we had 4x4 vehicles so we managed, but Vacasa offer no help on the matter.
Overall, it is a good home for a week long vacation, but definitely overpriced, for what it is offered, we could have a comparable place 30% cheaper. We had a great time, but will not rent the same place again.

Beautiful home with a convenient location. Property manager was responsive to our needs.

We enjoyed our stay in this large, nice home. Wish the weather would have permitted us to use the deck area and fire pit. Convenient to shopping and good restaurants.

Plenty of room and the fire pit was great

We were impressed upon entering the house. The layout was perfect for our family get-together of 5 adults and 4 boys ranging in age from 11-17. The location was great as we were close enough for a day trip to Asheville & Cherokee and also to Nolichuky for White Water Rafting. Two experienced Eagle Scouts and the boys all enjoyed their day on the River. The weather wasn't the greatest for Grandfather Mountain but the six of us who went there had a good time anyway!

Property and location excellent; kitchen ill equipped for cooking; no coffee maker for the first 2 days; main TV in family room non functional; Dishwasher broken all week; outdoor grill disgustingly dirty/nasty. Reported all of the issues 3 times and then gave up!!

The house was very large, beautiful and accommodating. It was clean but there were many stains on the carpet probably due to animals staying there. A hair dryer was mentioned but we didn't find one. We also did not have ice as the ice maker wasn't working. All said it was a nice place that I would recommend.

The property is nicely decorated in a very much mountain-family-cozy style. The areas are big enough for large families spending vacations together. The firepit, table tenis, and futbolín are really great ideas. We had a lot of fun with them.
The property is also well equipped in every sense, specially, the kitchen.
As a suggestion, you could really make a difference with a little bit more of cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc.

The house is beautiful and very spacious for a large family but the mattresses are very hard in every room and we had a hard time sleeping. After a day skiing you are wishing for a nice comfy bed and everyone in our party complained about the bed being uncomfortable. Did not have hair dryer, there was hair in our bed sheets and bathroom shower but that's a cleaning team issue. The management was great and they responded very quickly. If they can buy some pillow tops for the mattresses, I will rent again. Stain in master bedroom carpet needs to be clean too but not a biggie for us.

beautiful house but had a slight problem on first entering the property. Looked like cleaner had left in a hurry and left clean a lot of items where they didn't belong. This however was not a problem for us and we were happy to put things where they belonged. I honestly feel that we left the house in great shape ( we were not bothered by cleaning it ourselves). All dishes were washed, dried and put away. We wiped down all counters, etc. The only thing we did not do was make the 2 beds we slept in because we figured they would have to be made again with clean sheets, etc. We did have a wonderful time and sincerely appreciate all you did for us.

Recent visit December 2021
House is very open with updated furnishings. You will need a 4x4 in the winter. Loved the gas fireplace with remote start. We were planning to grill out most meals so we checked the fuel tank upon arrival. Gas was empty so we called the office and they had a new tank delivered within 45 minutes, very responsive.
The house could use a deep cleaning. Spots on carpets, some dirty dishes in cabinets, coffee and grounds still found in coffee pot. There were plenty of plates, silverware and glassware. They could use more serving dishes for those that may be cooking in. Also, the center large burner on the gas stove did not work.
Very nice to have TVs in all the bedrooms, updated pillows and bedding could be used. Upstairs there Are three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. The bedroom with the twin beds is the one with the bathroom attached. It seems that it would make more sense for this to be set up with a primary bedroom versus the two king beds sharing a hall bath. One additional thing to note is that the bathrooms did not have hairdryers as listed on the amenities.
We did enjoy the basement and the games for evening entertainment. The one downside I would say to the basement is there’s no access to the outside. In the event of any emergency the only exit would be back up the stairs. It appeared that the outside doors were not accessible and locked for guest.
Difficult to regulate heat upstairs, stayed mostly hot.

I guess the carpet was cleaned shortly before we arrived. The chemical smell was so strong that we had to open windows and leave for a few hours. This was disappointing—my wife has asthma and I easily get headaches from chemical exposure.

The home is very comfortable and immaculate. It’s obvious the owners renovated recently. New furnishings. New TVs. New kitchenware. There is a lot of space here for a large family. The location is near the top of Sugar, affording cool temps all day. We would definitely return to this home.

We really enjoyed staying at this property because it had everything we wanted/needed. We had my elderly parents with us which meant we needed as little stairs as possible and this house was perfect for that! We kept them on the main floor and the driveway was very level getting into the house which is hard to find in the mountains. Our kids (12 and 8), stayed downstairs on the pull out couch and loveseat and they loved playing ping pong and foosball. The rest of us had the upstairs rooms and bathrooms for everyone were great. The main floor bathroom was a little tricky for my parents, as they couldn't adjust the removable shower head on their own and the shower door lacked proper sealing so, the water leaked out. However, this is an easy fix.
There was plenty of room to spread out. The back porch was great to hang out on with a large table and chairs. Rocking chairs would be my only suggestion for the outside. The kitchen appliances were great, we could have used one more large pan for our group but, we appreciated that the pans looked new and clean! The location is perfect and the weather could not have been better. We didn't want to leave! We definitely want to stay here again in the future.

This house was perfect for our family get together. There was enough room for all of us. The location was great, close to everything. I would only mention that the fire pit area was a bit overgrown and pretty steep to get to, so be careful. There are no chairs down there either, only wooden stumps. Overall everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Beautiful house, beautiful setting. House was very clean, beds comfortable. Plenty of linens, glasses, mugs, plates, but cookware is a letdown. Game room was great fun but the ping pong paddles definitely need to be replaced. Now for the annoyance: they advertise that every tv has Netflix. Not true as...the biggest annoyance, no internet. When you are traveling with two college students that had coursework due, panic time with no internet in this day and age. We called and were told maintenance would be there to check. Next day the very nice fellows arrived, tried everything including a new router. Nothing. The bottom line was they recently upgraded to higher speed internet but something in the lines outside of the house are causing the problem. My advice is to definitely stay in this spacious home but if internet is important to you, confirm with them that it is, in fact, working. One minor thing...you are given a code for the lockbox. BUT there are two lock boxes! One where there is a bike lock hanging and was the first one we saw. We tried it several times but no luck. We tried the keypad on the door. No luck. As we turned to go for our cell phone to call we spied another lockbox. Success! Why two lock boxes 20’ apart? At least say “the lockbox closest to the front door.”
