About this house rental
Beautifully renovated Victorian house. Great central location, the sea is at the end of the road and it's just a few minutes walk to attractions such as Plymouth Hoe, the Pavillions, Tinside Lido and the city centre. Opposite the house is a park with 4 tennis courts, and round the corner there is a children's play park. There are often events going on in the area, and there is a good choice of bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood.

We are 8 friends who travelled to Plymouth for the National Fireworks Comp. We stayed three nights. Iain was great and easy to contact and helpful. The house was in the perfect location and everything we wanted to explore was with walking distance. We liked the house, it was very light and airy and spacious enough for all of us. All the bedrooms were a good size. The main bedroom with ensuite was spot on but the second bathroom seriously needs attention, it was very tired and was not good to spend time in - I note that others have mentioned it too. We all shared the ensuite.
The rental is for eight people but there were only dining chairs and sofa space for 6 people. We brought camping chairs (to sit on the Hoe during the fireworks) so we used two of these to make up the difference. There were only 3 wine glasses and 6 tumblers - we contacted Iain about all these points and he said he will address them. I gave 4 stars for neighbourhood because there was a lot of nocturnal activity particularly from the neighbours which disturbed us each night - but this may be a one off. If all these issues did not exist I would say the house is perfect for a family or a large group. We throughly enjoyed our stay and enjoyed Plymouth. Many thanks.
PS. Plenty of opportunities to swim in the sea - right on your doorstep, so pack you swim stuff.

This is such a lovely house and the photos don't do it justice at all. It is really very spacious and tastefully decorated. All the rooms are lovely. It is about a 5 min walk up to the Hoe area. I stayed here with my family and also my sister with her family. There was plenty of space for us all and the beds are very comfy. The area is nice and quiet (apart from the seagulls!) despite being quite a central location. One word of warning is to be careful of the traffic wardens! We didn't write our car reg on the parking permits (as you are supposed to - we later realised) and got a parking fine!! Not the fault of the property owner, but thought I would mention as something for other potential guests to be aware of.
But overall we had a wonderful holiday here in this lovely house in a great location!

Gorgeous house
The house is absolutely gorgeous, and it's clear that someone has spent a lot of money on the property. The rooms are very generous and it has everything you need. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because there was no outdoor space. There is a ground floor tenanted flat and the court yard is attached to this. That said it is opposite a small green and tennis courts and the sea is at the end of the street.

Lovely Home, Great Location, Excellent Host
We had a lovely few days in this very spacious, comfortable home. Peaceful location but just a few steps away from the Hoe seafront. The house has been really tastefully renovated. The four bedrooms (one ground floor and three first floor) are all very spacious doubles, with the master also having a nice en-suite. Apart from maybe a couple of eggcups (!) the kitchen had everything we needed for a self-catering stay. There is no outside space, but when you are close to the Hoe you really don’t need it. We also used the tennis courts that are just across the road - easy to book and seem newly resurfaced. Great to also have a parking permit for one car included, with easy parking just opposite the house. Iain was a very attentive host, who happily and promptly answered all of our questions. Would definitely stay again…..thanks for having us!
