Nice cabin, equiped well. Very private, saw deer pretty much everyday. The stairs are a bit of a challenge, twenty five steps from the parking area to the cabin deck.

Overall my family and I had a wonderful stay at the Hibernation Family Getaway and made some great memories. The location is perfect, as we went into town and the Bear Valley Ski Resort daily. The amenities were good, with the exception of not providing a hair dryer. I would recommend that one is provided in the house as its a given now when you stay anywhere, and its really hard to have wet hair in snowy weather! Also, no where in the entire town of Arnold did they sell one, so come prepared :) The only other thing I'll note is the stairway to the entry is a big steep and slippery when icy, so that made it a little tricky for us to get up and down, but as long as you are prepared then you'll be fine.

This is a fantastic location, and SO secluded! On a court with two other large vacation homes, very private. Took our dog on walks around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, it was raining and we had lightning, but it was very cozy in the cabin!! The heater works great, AND the power went out, but immediately a backup generator turned on!! Will stay here again, just for that reason alone. The power goes out a lot here. The beds are comfy! The kitchen could use a clean-out of old stuff, but everything worked great! The family room was awesome and we even did a brand new puzzle that was up there. Thank you!

The house itself if beautiful. The neighborhood is peaceful. There is something special about wakening up around the trees. I highly recommend this cabin.

We had a relaxing stay at the cabin. We did have a few ideas that would have made our stay even better. We would have liked to have large Tupperware or plastic drinking glasses for our iced tea and soda. Some dish towels would have been immensely helpful. When drying dishes, it was inconvenient to dry them with only paper towels. And we didn't want to use the dishwasher for just a few dishes after having a snack or a dessert. The most important thing was that, as we are all in our 70s, we found the stairs down to the house to be a bit steep for our comfort, especially carrying ice chests and luggage. It might be helpful to future guests if you would include a photo of the steps so people could decide if they wanted to tackle them.
Thank you for offering your lovely home for us to use.

This was our 2nd year staying and we had a wonderful time. The cabin is perfect for us, very cozy and provides all you would need as if in your own home. Shiela is wonderful and very responsive if you do need something.
We hope to stay each year in this cabin.

This property is nestled away and is quiet with wildlife to watch. Our kids enjoyed watching deer, skunks, birds, chipmunks and squirrels from the deck. The beds are comfy and had everything we needed. We rented a paddleboard and enjoyed Whitepine Lake. We checked out Murphys and the caverns. We will definitely be back! The games are missing some pieces so kids were bummed, but we had brought some, so it was fine!

A nice cabin that fit our family’s needs. It met our expectations, confirming the description in the listing. Located only 4 miles from the Big Tree State Park. The sequoias were awe inspiring. We recommend this as a base for those who want to strike out to appreciate nature and the area’s history.

My son wanted to spend his birthday at the snow so we booked this cabin somewhat last minute. We were super pleased with the amenities, location and ease of check in/check out process. Hosts were communicative leading up to our stay and reached out the day of check in to let us know that a recent snowfall made the firewood inaccessible. I appreciated this very much as it allowed us to pick some up on the way. House is fully stocked and had everything we needed for my family and I including our dog! Thanks again for providing such a lovely place to relax and warm up after lots of snow play!

This cabin was all we wanted. Clean, large enough for everyone and very cozy. Very well supplied kitchen. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved building a fire in the fireplace. Highly recommend the cabin!

I thoroughly enjoyed my four night stay. There was nothing missing in this lovely home that helps make for a comfortable "at home" feeling. The responsiveness and ease of working with the management company was comforting and much appreciated. I loved the windows and light! Plenty of room to have a larger family share the space -- but having it alone was heaven!

We booked this for a place to gather with our adult children. We all enjoyed the cabin and really had a low key week. Made a big fire in the fireplace and chilled out. Watched movies and played games.

What a wonderful weekend getaway. There was plenty of room for my family of 4, grandparents, aunt & uncle (total 6 adults and 2 kids).
The home was clean except for a few cobwebs along the windows and higher ceilings. The drip pan in the grill overflowed so we cleaned that ourselves. Some of the exterior deck, stairs and lighting needs repair or minor cosmetic upgrades but, to be fair, it may be damage from less considerate renters.
Sadly this is not in the Blue Springs Lake HOA but the public White Pines Lake is both clean and nearby. We have decided to make a vacation home purchase here in the next few years. Great getaway with wonderfully responsive property managers.
And, we had a visitor on our first evening. I great big bear strolled past which made me very grateful for the high deck.

Pleasant stay
We enjoyed our stay. Broken fire alarm (wires hanging and alarm dislodged from the wall), but fortunately we didn't need it. Very clean. Only spoke with management company once. We felt comfortable and safe and that they were there if we needed them.

Lovely quiet property
When we arrived on a Friday evening, we noticed a broken stair and messaged the property manager. We were very impressed that they had someone out there to replace it that same evening. That was awesome and very much appreciated. The only issue we had with the stay may be a consequence of the owner's requirement that departing guests wash and put away all dishes before leaving (as opposed to just starting the dishwasher). Some of the dishes in the cupboards were not very clean and we had to rewash some of them before using. This could be easily remedied by a post checkout inspection by the cleaning staff.
The beds were really comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, the location was perfect and our kids loved seeing the deer come right up to the deck. We would not hesitate to book this house again.

The house was great, warm and welcoming. Perfect location to be out in the woods and play in the snow. The kitchen was missing a few basic items such as a spatula, second knife, second cutting board, measuring spoons and a measuring cup. Overall the house was very relaxing and well kept.

Wonderful hibernation retreat!!
The cabin is just so roomy, lots of storage, beautifully laid out, wonderful touches and decor, and having a wood burning fireplace was just spectacular! Nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac in a great neighborhood close to everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would totally come back again! Thank you for being a dog friendly cabin as well, they gave us the opportunity to bring the dogs to see the Snow for the very first time. It was super kid friendly and the huge bean bag chairs were a big hit! They even gave us brand new warm winter socks to wear in the cabin! Such nice touches, and well placed notes to help us with anything we needed in the cabin!! Thank you again for an awesome stay!

Lovely and spacious cabin with a few problems
The cabin was wonderful and everything worked. Just a few suggestions: kitchen utensils could use sharpened knives, more serving bowls and a can opener. There was not enough toilet paper or paper towels available. the garbage can was full from the last occupants. Easily addressed.

Great, Quiet Location
The house is conveniently accessible to the 4 and just a few minute to the grocery store but manages to be tucked away with great privacy. The home itself is in great shape and has a lovely view to a big fireplace and the outdoors. It was not snowy for my stay but we could drive a half hour to get uphill for great sledding. No issues.
