We found the house and patio to be lovely, with gorgeous plants and trees. The house was spacious and filled with beautiful furniture and art. The bedrooms were also spacious and comfortable, each with its own bathroom. Angela and Eduardo were gracious and wonderful hosts. The location was perfect, as we could walk to restaurants and a market close by. We also were able to walk easily into town through the gorgeous historic area.

The house is exactly as pictured - beautiful, clean and everything we wanted. But what makes this place, is the family who welcomes you to their home! Angela and family went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They are so welcoming, gracious and knowledgeable. They even included our family in their plans for an event happening during Easter celebrations and answered our kids many questions! We chose this place based on the other reviews that raved about Angela and they were not wrong.

It was my first time to Oaxaca. And when I arrived and walked into the house, I definitely found myself saying "WOW! This is a beautiful house" I was greeted by Angela at the house since she lives on the same property (although she had a completely separate entrance).
The house and property was clean and welcoming with pleasing decorations. I appreciate the fact that she went beyond a typical host by providing us with coffee, fruits, pastries, and gallons of drinking water. The house was truly a home with all the items one would need if you are away such as cooking essentials and they were in wonderful condition. We cooked breakfast every morning.
The house is located in the city with all the typical loud city noises. It is about a15 min walking distance to the main town square. Each day we walked to enjoy dinner. Walking there was easy and we felt completely safe even after the sun had set. Even though there was a parking garage, we felt safe to park the car on the street every night.
One thing though the wifi was not strong so we were unable to stream any of our shows and had limited access to social media. Only 2 devices was used. Also not to surprise you, but if you are an extremely private person there are cameras installed in different outside areas on the property that are easily seen.
Words of advice, if you try to reach out to Angela and you don't hear back immediately, do not worry! She will get back to you, promise! Would I stay again? Absolutely YES!

My husband and I were seeking a home in a quieter and more picturesque part of Oaxaca as we would be living/working remotely and studying Spanish while taking in all Oaxaca has to offer. Xochimilco is the perfect place for that.
The walks to market shopping, a small gym, organic food shops, beautiful Jalatlaco, Llano Park, and the Alcala/Santo Domingo area were perfect - each between 15 and 20 minutes. The Zocalo another few minutes further.
The house itself is spacious, clean and modern -- handling our two different sets of guests easily. For anyone wanting to work remotely, the desk spaces/internet speed make it very easy to do so.
The kitchen is well set up for eating breakfast and lunches and cooking a dinner or two (truth is - we went out most evenings to the wide assortment of restaurants - from simple tacos to tasting menus!).
Angela and Eduardo, and their son Santi...are warm, hospitable people and were very responsive to our needs. Angela saved the day by finding our friend an English speaking doctor quickly when she was very sick. For that we will always be very grateful.
We look forward to seeing the family again next year, when we return!

My family enjoyed our holiday stay away from home. Angela and Eduardo were generous and accomodating hosts. For example when a cold front blew in Angela went out of her way to bring us cozy blankets. The property is beautiful and in a convenient area. Highly recommended.

Angela is diligent and attentive to all your needs. She is the quintessential hostess and goes way out of her way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable! I highly recommend her place because it is worth it! Quiet, safe neighborhood with all the amenities to easily cook for yourself. Restaurants and grocery stores are nearby and it's not too far from the centro of Oaxaca! You can walk there in about 20 minutes or take a taxi easily found on the side streets and main street above. Thank you Angela and family for making our stay most enjoyable, and for your help to and from the airport! 🙏

our host had a medical emergency in her immediate family and needed to have use of her home that we had reserved. She generously offered her Mother's gorgeous rental for us, a little farther from the center of town, but in a beautiful neighborhood. The bonus was that we got to meet and spend some time with her mother who was staying in the little maid's quarters downstairs. We all laughed about the unexpected things that come up while traveling, but in this case, everyone dealt beautifully with the situation and we all had a wonderful time!

Angela and Eduardo shared their lovely home with two large bedrooms, well-stocked kitchen and breezing outdoor patio. They provided us with an abundance of welcoming fruit, coffee, juices, and bottled water. We walked to the centro daily but also enjoyed the local neighborhood market and church nearby, as well as several small restaurants. Unfortunately, the house ran out of water several times and the neighborhood dogs kept us awake at night, which we understand are common problems in Oaxaca. It’s a great home for a family.

We spent a month with Angela and her family who were wonderful, hospitable, and extremely helpful. The house was spotless and space perfect. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Hope to return one day ❤️

The house was perfect for us for the week we spent in Oaxaca. Though we ate most dinners out, the kitchen is probably the best stocked one we have ever seen. We enjoyed a great home cooked meal with the many tools in the kitchen. Location was excellent- we walked everywhere and really appreciated how central it was to so many different neighborhoods. The owners were SO nice and helpful. We would definitely want to rent this wonderful house in the future.

We had planned this Dia de los Muertos trip for 2 years…our traveling to Oaxaca was interrupted with storms, missed connections, being bumped off flights, and late flights. We lost 3 days of our vacation …but Angela made it all worth while! Could not have asked for a more gracious and helpful host.

We ended up at this location last minute, as the other booking had construction next door that wasn’t mentioned. Contacting her initially was frustrating because we needed a place fast. It took awhile for a response, but after that she was on top of things. My wife exchanged WhatsApp and she was pretty responsive. Super nice, both her and her husband.
The house was immaculate. Clean, secure. We loved the moderness and lay out.
The pros are clean, spacious modern house with a wonderful host.
The cons for us was while people say it’s walking distance to centro we found it unrealistic but Uber is cheap
The master bathroom shower is solar heated so sometimes there was hot water sometimes no.. but the guest shower is gas heated so we ended up there and it was fine.
Its in a neighborhood where there are a lot of dogs. We are dog lovers and befriended a couple but at 3 am they tend to show off their barking abilities. We had Bluetooth speaker and rain shower sounds to help drown them out
I’m just being honest because I book places based on reviews. Ultimately would I stay there again? Absolutely! The host, the house, the value.. it worked for us and I think you’ll enjoy it like we did

This was the first trip to Oaxaca for myself and an old friend. We were so fortunate to land here. The house had all the comforts of home (you name it, it was there) and was located just the right distance from the center of Oaxaca to invite a pleasant walk to most things in town. I’m certain three or four people could stay there and not feel the least bit cramped. Angela was super-responsive and a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend.

Spacious, light-filled home, great location, fast wifi, and helpful hosts!
Had a great stay with my friends at Angela's home. She and her husband were wonderful hosts who were open and responsive to feedback, and available to help with anything we needed. Lots of room, comfortable beds, and multiple lounging/living spaces were a welcome addition. All 3 of us were working remote during our stay and the fast wifi and plenty of spaces to work (two desks, the dining room, and outdoor table) were amazing. Angela also provided us with large gallons of drinking water and checked in to see if there was anything we needed, even offering to have cleaning services during our stay! We had a wonderful visit to Oaxaca and loved that the location was central (easy walk to the center) yet more residential (i.e. quieter) away from the craziness of the Day of the Dead Celebrations. The neighborhood is charming with plenty of good coffee and dining nearby (our favorites were Ancestral and Filomeno!) and we can't wait to come back. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!!
