About this cottage rental

Hidden Hollow Cottage is in a peaceful, well-hidden setting, surrounded by 5 acres. Close to amenities needed when on vacation, it is only 1.5 miles from the quaint little town of Tarlton. Enjoy eating at Crosstown Creamery, visiting Cross Mound Park or getting the needed groceries at Tarlton Market or Dollar General all located in Tarlton. Also, within reasonable distance to Old Mans Cave attractions. While here take time to breathe deeply of Gods fresh country air and enjoy the opportunity to unwind from your daily pressures.
COTTAGE:
The Cottage will sleep a max of 5 people. It sleeps 4 comfortably, but we do allow up to 5 people. It has 2 bedrooms upstairs with a queen bed in each bedroom. The loft bedroom has a privacy door and overlooks the living area. It also has a small outside balcony. Each bedroom has a narrow chair that converts into a cot, or the extra person may also use the sectional and ottoman in the living room for extra sleeping space. The bathroom is on the main floor and has a tile shower, a vanity with 2 sinks, and a closet with a Washer, Dryer, iron, and ironing board. Towels and linens are provided. The Kitchen has a Refrigerator, Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Keurig (we furnish a few k-cups, but bring your favorites) it also has a regular coffee maker, and a Table with 2 benches. It also has a pantry with a few folding chairs stored. The Kitchen has everything to prepare your own meal and serve it minus the food. We do provide some coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, creamer, dishwasher tablets, and dishwashing soap. The living room has a Sectional with a big ottoman, and a small recliner. Enjoy the cozy vented fireplace insert during the winter months or relax doing one of the puzzles or playing one of the games we provide.
OUTDOORS:
Pavilion with a Hot Tub and a propane grill, brick patio, large front deck, fire ring, 6 stackable outdoor chairs and a creek running through the property. Feel free to explore the hill area with the mowed trails, another pavilion, and a little pond area.
CELL SERVICE/TECHNOLOGY:
We have Spectrum phones which uses Verizon towers - we can receive calls, make calls, receive texts and send texts with our phones at the Cottage, but can’t guarantee great cell service. We also provide free unlimited Internet through Stedfast Internet. There is also a DVD player. Bring your favorite DVDs.
LOCATION:
We are located 45 minutes southeast of Columbus, 20 minutes to Circleville the home of the Pumpkin Show, 25 minutes from Tecumseh (outdoor drama) and 15-20 minutes from Rock House, one of the Hocking Hills State Parks. Come enjoy God's beautiful Creation!

Phil and Norma are fantastic hosts! The cabin was warm and welcoming! Because there wasnt any cell service, they privided a guest book with local avtivities and restaurants (they even included menus!), movies, and puzzles and games! Our kids really appreciated this and so did we!! ! Thank you!

Oh what a beautiful property!! It was so clean and perfect for visiting Hocking hills! I do recommend bringing maybe a skillet or two, but other than that I couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay!!!

We had a great time !!!! Cabin was like new and well taken care of! The only main issue we had which ended up being a plus is the WiFi don’t work hardly at all there right now and we weren’t on our phones all the time ! lol so ended up being a plus !!!!

The property was as pictured and described. We enjoyed relaxing in the peaceful quiet of the property. The hot tub was EXCEPTIONALLY clean and worked wonderfully. We loved stepping away from technology for the weekend and disconnecting. Thank you 😊

This was the perfect little get away for me and a friend, it was super peaceful and relaxing ! We loved everything about the cabin including the hot tub :) We will definitely stay agian! The WiFi did not work but we found if you go outside on the top balcony you can get some service. But we kinda liked not being able to reach the outside world for a few days and just relax!

I absolutely enjoyed every minute at this beautiful little cottage. Internet service wasn’t the greatest, but we had no time to notice because we were too busy exploring the property and admiring all of the wonderful nature sounds. The place was very clean and the water pressure surprisingly worked great considering the location. I would highly recommend this place to another.

We had a great stay! The hosts were very responsive and welcoming, and the cabin is situated in a very relaxing area with plenty of shade to enjoy the outdoors even on a hot day. The cabin itself is beautiful inside and was exceptionally clean. Be aware that cell phone service may be pretty spotty and that wifi may not always work. (Par for the course in the area in our experience). It worked out okay for us, but I’d have packed a few more kids movies had I realized it wouldn’t be an option to stream.

Great way to unwind, and relax. With plenty of activities nearby, and hot tub, fire pit in yard we couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed the space, bedrooms, kitchen was spacious and offered all supplies needed to make meals. We were able to watch a dvd. Thank you for a lovely time relaxing

Well after cleaning 10 stink bugs out of the bedding we decided to just sleep on the couch. And cell phone Wi-Fi connection is not spotty it is literally non-existent. Had a major storm go through with hail and winds and had no way of watching the news or following the area that we were in to make sure we were safe. The hot tub filters in the bottom of the hot tub were broken and one just had a screw sticking out of it and my wife scraped her ankle on it. They were all jagged and in disrepair. The two small (only)frying pans that were provided were in such bad shape from chipping and peeling that we could not cook on them. The place was clean except for the stink bugs everywhere. The shower head was so clogged up from water deposits that it was coming out like needles I had to scrub it vigorously to get as much off as I could. One would think for the amount of money that we paid these items would not be a problem. You should bring your own toilet paper as well. The one ply they supply is like sandpaper.

This property was absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy...and we loved exploring the outside. It gave us a home feeling! The only thing I will say that could of needed work was the kitchen pans... Those definitely need changed...we are a stay in cooking type.. other than that everything was perfect. We will definitely come back.

Listing is exactly as described. The cabin is perfectly clean with everything that you could need for your stay. The beds are amazingly comfortable, in fact, my sister in law told her hubby it was more comfortable than her bed at home. If I could give this cottage more than a five star, I would my family and I stayed for three nights it definitely made it feel like home away from home. It’s a beautiful cottage that’s in a beautiful, secluded place. With everything you need to make it feel like home. I would definitely recommend anyone that is looking for a place to stay near Hocking Hills. This would be the cottage for you. Ps. the place was very very clean that made me happy 😊

Generally as expected- lots of reviews about no Wi-Fi but we also didn’t have cell service (Verizon) so that made things slightly complicated when trying to look up directions or places to eat, etc. about 30 minutes from hocking hills. otherwise the perfect cabin retreat for a family with small kids.

This little cottage is perfect. It is nicely decorated, well supplied, very clean and had a great outdoor space with large hot tub. Would definitely stay here again. It was about a half hour from Hocking Hills area.

The cottage was a beautiful, quaint and cozy place. It is in such a perfect spot surrounded by nature. There is a small stream going through the back yard and a pond/swamp on the other side of the property that my son loved catching frogs and crawfish in. The hot tub was perfect after a long hike in Hocking Hills, and the fire pit was perfect for s'mores with the kids at night. My ONLY complaint is the wifi did not work well. We weren't even able to watch a movie on Netflix without it stopping multiple times to buffer. Besides that it was the perfect place for a family getaway. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.

What a beautiful location. It truly is a cottage experience. The listing is not exactly accurate though. It is not 2 bedrooms. The bedroom with the balcony is also a loft bedroom. Meaning it is open to the living room. Also the bathroom is on the 1st floor so if you get up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom a lot keep this in mind. The hot tub was by far the best i have experienced. Super relaxing and the hostas on the hillside were stunning. It is a well maintained property.

We had a girls trip with 5 of us and your cottage was perfect! The hot tub was huge. Decorated so beautifully. Beautiful landscaping. Definitely can tell they put a lot of time and effort into this cottage/property. We will be back for sure! 10/10 recommend.

This is one place that is even better than the photo's! Spent 3 nights with my daughters. Spent the days hiking in Hocking Hills and the evenings relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying a campfire. Everything about this property was above expectation. Very clean inside and out and I'm a picky person!

We had an amazing stay here! The cottage was so cute and just as described. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Tarleton is an adorable little town and the Creamery is a must visit. We will definitely stay here again!!

We highly recommend this place! It is immaculately clean, very comfortable, and it is close enough to Hocking Hills. The area is very quiet and the cottage is secluded in a small gulley. It has a nice fire pit area and a covered pavillion featuring a grill and a very clean, large hot tub. The owners were wonderful to work with and responded very quickly to my questions. We also strongly recommend the Manchester Hill Winery and Vineyard just up the road.
