About this house rental
Bella Vita
Bella Vita villa is a charming vacation property located near some of the most sought-after stretches of sand in southern Pacific Costa Rica.
Featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms, Bella Vita can comfortably accommodate up to six guests. Visitors can walk to the famous Whale's Tail beach from the house -- it takes about 15 minutes depending on how you roll. Access to the town of Uvita, with grocery stores, international cuisine, pharmacies, banks, and souvenirs, is only a short car drive away -- again, this is subject to cruising speed but peg it at about 5 minutes from the house to town.
Nestled in a quiet, yet tight-knit beachside community, the home is sleek and stylish with seamless transitions from the kitchen to the living room to the swimming pool which, by the way, is big enough to do laps in. If you're traveling with kids, Bella Vita offers peace of mind because you can easily view the swimming pool from the living room and master bedroom.
It is also a very secure property, with a gated carport entrance and fencing throughout. The property manager's office, YouGetHere Property Management, is located about 15 minutes down the highway. They are easy to contact for concierge services and home-repair needs.
The setup at Bella Vita goes like this:
It takes about 3.5 hours to drive from the international airport in San Jose to the villa.
The house has wireless internet.
There is secure parking for two vehicles. You don't have to have a 4x4 vehicle to access this property, but we highly recommend renting a 4x4 because it's much better to navigate the area with that capability than without it.
The master bedroom has a king bed, en-suite bathroom, television, pool access, and air conditioning. The other two bedrooms have a queen bed in one room and a king bed in the other. The room with the queen has a television, the room with the king does not. Both of those bedrooms have air conditioning, and they share a bathroom.
In the kitchen, which is fully stocked with all types of quality cooking utensils, there is a countertop bar with four barstools. The dining room has a table that seats six, as well as a television.
Outside at the swimming pool, there is another six-seat table, a pair of lounge chairs for laying out, a hammock, a couch, a BBQ, and a television.
So the setup is pretty straight-forward. When you show up for a well-earned vacation at Bella Vita, you won't encounter a bunch of surprises.
Furthermore, the Dominical/Uvita area has so much to offer in terms of tours and activities, many of which involve interacting with an incredible variety of wildlife. Monkeys, toucans, sloths, whales, parrots, crocodiles, anteaters, pigs, horses, frogs, macaws, and a million other crazy creatures inhabit this lovely land. Every day of your trip, you can see something you've never seen before or do something you've never done before. It's that wild in this region of Costa Rica, borderline unbelievable.
That sound coming through your computer speaker is Bella Vita calling your name. Or is it a howler monkey? Sometimes it's difficult to decipher these things when you're dreaming about the tropics. Nevertheless, it's probably best to come to visit soon and find out for yourself. Bella Vita is definitely the place to be.
Check-in times are between 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM.
Check-out times are between 5:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

We stayed at this home for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay here! The location was very convenient to many restaurants & shops and about a 15 minute walk to the beach. This house was extremely clean, organized, and had all of the basics needed for cooking meals. Communication with our house manager, Ismael, was great as well! We highly recommend renting through this rental company!

Wonderful house and pool! Stayed there with family of 4 and had lots of room. Not easily walkable to beach but a 5 min car ride. Lots to do in Uvita!

The house is exactly as pictured - the living space is actually larger than it looks. Pool is fantastic and crystal clean. Each room has its own AC unit and all beds and furnishings are great. Place was spotless. We stayed with our two daughters (7 & 10) and the kitchen is fully equipped, but the local food was so good we ate out more than we usually do.
Ishmael was our contact and was very responsive (via WhatsApp) and thoughtful. You meet him at the main road and follow him to the house where he'll show you around the property. Surrounding neighborhood is very mixed and undergoing development. There are good local supermarkets on the main road, so groceries were never a problem.
The walk to the Whale-tail beach was longer than we thought and in the heat (~90F) and humidity the trek back after a day at the beach with our stuff was long for the kids. We ended up using the car more than we thought. There is a $4 parking fee at the nearest entrance, but we found another entrance to the south where parking was free and plentiful. The Whale-tail beach is a national park and there is a daily entrance fee ($6 per adult, kids free), but once you have your ticket you can come and go as you please for the day. We used other public beaches (Hermosa, Dominical) but beware of rip tides and larger surf there if you have little ones.
The region is incredibly beautiful and there is plenty to do with children. We did several waterfall hikes, snorkeling trip to Cano island, surfing and lots of exploring. Strongly suggest renting a car and paying the extra for a 4-wheel drive - otherwise you may be limited in what you can reach. It gets dark early, so we were often back at the house by 5ish to enjoy the lit pool and watch parakeets come back to roost in the surrounding trees.
In summary, house was great, hosts were wonderful and the location is stunning. Highly recommend.

My family and friends stayed at Bella Vita last week and we had a ball. The property was spotless, everything was in great working order and it was well situated with a short distance (walking) to the Whales Tale and a very short drive to the stores, shops and restaurants in Uvita. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us with a wonderful open concept. We will definitely look to book here again when we get back to the area.

This house has it all - brand new construction, tastefully decorated and a great location. We loved the pool and outdoor lounging area and were able to walk to the beach and restaurants - highly recommend Sebas and Falafel Uvita. Would definitely stay again!

This was my family’s first time to Costa Rica. Check in was easy. After arriving in Uvita we followed the property manager Ismael to the property. When driving to the house I was a little worried about the dirt road neighborhood, but to my surprise once we entered the gate it was paradise found. Absolutely loved this property! The pictures don’t do it justice. This was the most spotlessly clean property I have ever stayed in through VRBO; not one speck of anything anywhere!! Beautiful white floors, new furnishings, open and roomy for our family of 6. Everything works properly. Very well equipped with toiletries, nice kitchen, with everything one needs including spices. Beautiful and inviting outdoor area that we spent many hours enjoying every evening. It felt like our own self contained oasis. The pool was a dream after spending the day out hiking or at the beach. I don’t know how they do it but the pool water temperature is always PERFECT. The property is close to restaurants, grocery stores, the beach and beautiful waterfalls. Any question i had (ex. finding a certain beach or restaurant) the manager Ismael was quick to respond with directions or anything else I needed. He was always so happy and kind. I look forward to staying here when visit Costa Rica again.

Lovely house in Uvita
We had a great time in this house and particularly enjoyed the pool. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We ate in for many meals. Very nice to have a washer and dryer. The house is a quick 5 minutes from the grocery store and there are restaurants even closer.
